We already told you Lilo headed to
New York City to party last night, but did you know that she blew off her wrap party for
Labor Pains?
The party was held at The Joint in Hollywood last night, and a source at the party revealed exclusively to X17online that free drinks and jumbo shrimp appetizers were passed around to the 150 or so guests, and a DJ played R&B and rock n' roll throughout the night. Hmm, maybe we don't blame Lilo for wanting to head east and be with her friends and family!
Anyway, we had a brief chat with the film's producer, Lati Grobman, who appeared ecstatic at the party, and told our source that she couldn't be more thrilled with little Miss Lohan. Grobman added that the media's fascination with Lilo (and the resultant non-stop coverage of filming) only helped the low budget $6 million film, by garnering it the kind of publicity that a $100 million movie might get. And this is
very interesting - Grobman also revealed that Lilo did Labor Pains for just $500,000, which is a huge pay cut for the 22-year-old actress, who used to command up to $7.5 million per film.
Around the same time the wrap party was beginning, Lilo and Samantha were already hanging out with momager Dina and Samantha's twin sis, Charlotte at Sephora’s Ten Years Of Gorgeous Party. Dina even gave reporters outside something to chew on when she said, "I love Samantha - she's like a child to me. They're great friends and as long as my daughter is happy and healthy, it is what it is." It is what it is? So we're not putting a title on it?
Anyway, Lindsay is currently in New York filming episodes for the next season of ABC's hit show Ugly Betty, so technically, she left Hollywood for work related reasons. It's cool with us as long as she comes back soon!
