Is Britney going to make a surprise appearance at this Sunday's American Music Awards?
E! Online thinks it's a possibility, they've even got host Jimmy Kimmel wondering.
"They have these surprises that 75 people on the crew know about, but they won't tell the host," Kimmel told E! Online. "Apparently, there is some big surprise. I sent the producer an email yesterday and he was like, I can't tell you."
Well, we can tell you why we think she WON'T be at the AMAs this weekend:
- First, she's not nominated. Brit's not going anywhere unless they're giving her a trophy. How do you think they got her to show up at MTV's VMAs?!?
- Next, Brit's been holding out for her big December 2nd Birthday concert live on Good Morning America - why would she kill the hype?
- And perhaps the biggest reason, Christina Aguilera is already scheduled to perform a big 7 minute opening number at the AMAs. There's no way Brit would want to follow that performance!

But Benji Madden doesn't look too, if you'll excuse the pun, broken up about it. We just spotted the rocker arriving at his DCMA store in LA, and where was he right before that?
An X17 photog saw Benji leaving the gates of ex Paris' neighborhood... now THAT is interesting!

Mark Wahlberg and a pal got lunch at the Beverly Glen Deli yesterday afternoon, and while the Boston native showed his support for the New England Patriots, he didn't show quite as much love for the pack of photogs following him! "The Happening" star told the paps, "Nothing happening, guys," and seemed confused as to why they were snapping away. Maybe if he wasn't so ridiculously good looking they'd leave him alone?

Ashlee Simpson is currently at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and it looks like the 24-year-old singer has finally popped! Ashlee's assistant and father Joe Simpson showed up at the hospital about an hour ago, and hubby Pete Wentz and Ash's big sister Jessica are believed to be inside with her right now.
It's believed that Ashlee arrived at the hospital around 5am this morning, and doctors induced labor shortly afterwards. The family used a private gate to enter the hospital, and we'll bring you the latest details as soon as we get them!

Usher and his wife, Tameka Foster, are expecting baby number 2!
Access Hollywood confirmed the news Wednesday and said the baby will be born in December.
"One of the best Christmas gifts there is to have," the R&B Superstar said about the new baby.
Usher and Tameka's first child, Usher Raymond V, was born in November 2007. Tameka has three children from a previous relationship.
Since another "Usher" would probably cause way too much confusion around the house, Papa Usher said they're still trying to come up with a name for the baby.
"If you guys have a unique one, please feel free to hit me up. Let me know,” Usher said.
Okay, so what do you think they should name the baby?

There is soooo much going on in these pictures, I don't even know where to begin! First of all, Linda Hogan looks like a slightly plumper version of Donatella Versace, and I don't mean that as a compliment! Staring at her pumpkin-colored face is difficult enough, but her electric pink top is literally burning my eyes, and it looks like it's upsetting her poor little chihuahua too. And don't even get me started on the rolled up sweatpants or acrylic claws nails she's sporting. Yikes!
Linda wasn't too chatty with photogs, but she did mention that Nick was looking at schools. Hmmm...

Uh oh! Kate Beckinsale and hubby Len Wiseman got pulled over yesterday for speeding and failing to stop at a posted stop sign, and it looks like they weren't able to use their celeb status as a way out! Len did his best to convince the cop not to give them a ticket, but we gotta wonder - would the outcome have been different if Kate was driving? Either way, it looks like Kate was happy the violation didn't go on her record!
After the incident, Kate took her daughter Lily to a dance class in Santa Monica, and even though getting pulled over is never fun, it looks like Len and Kate were able to shake it off and enjoy the rest of their day.

Trouble in paradise for LiLo and Sam!
The Sun reports that the young couple was partying at London nightclub Boujis when who else showed up? Lindsay's ex Calum Best! And, in a risque move, Linds started dancing with Calum and Samantha saw...
And that's when, so says an onlooker:
"Sam came screeching up to Lindsay, screaming bloody murder and throwing punches. She went ballistic. The pair traded a series of blows before Calum managed to pry them apart. It was a really ugly scene."
Afterward, Lindsay was "furious" with her girlfriend. So, in the lobby of the club - another eyewitness reveals - LiLo "launched herself at Sam... spitting at her and clawing at her chest." OUCH! Could this be the end of the happy couple or do ya think the story has been slightly exaggerated? I really wonder how long this relationship will last! -

Rihanna showed up at UNICEF's annual Snowflake Lighting Ceremony in NYC last night looking just as lovely as usual. (We're diggin' her eye shadow, too!) The singer might be a little boring in some ways, but she puts out great music and always looks fab.

First Madonna for Louis Vuitton, and now Katie Holmes for Miu Miu? New York Magazine reports that Katie may be the latest celeb to lend her famous face to Miu Miu's Spring 2009 ad campaign. Katie would join a long list of starlets including Lindsay Lohan, Drew Barrymore and Kirsten Dunst who have previously appeared in Miuccia Prada's sexy print ads.
Katie may be an A-list celeb, but is she really that much of a fashionista? And will she be able to strike some fierce poses? I guess we'll find out!
Then again, Kirsten Dunst isn't exactly a fashion icon either!

Madonna and Guy To Begin Divorce Proceedings Friday

Wow! That was fast!
Divorce proceedings are scheduled to start Friday for Madonna and Guy Ritchie in the UK, according to Reuters.
The case is listed in London's High Court as "Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S" in the family division.
Both are entitled to attend the court, but neither Madge nor Guy is expected to show up.
After an initial divorce decree is issued, the split will be finalized in about six weeks.
It's expected that Guy will not accept any financial settlement from Madonna, but that the two will share custody of their sons, Rocco and David.
Maybe this one isn't going to be as ugly as we thought!
Do you really think Guy won't take any of Madonna's money?

Gwen Stefani arrived at LAX from Europe last night and, per usual, was greeted by a swarm of paps. Looks like things got a little intense - watch the chaos in the vid below! - because Kingston started to cry. Aw! We heart him. Don't cry!
Through it all, Gwen kept Zuma close and kept her cool. What a smart mom!

Winona Popped Too Many Pills

It looks like Winona took an x-tra large dose of the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and that's why she was rushed to the hospital after landing in the UK on Wednesday.
The Sun reports Winona had her stomach pumped at a London hospital after OD'ing on the meds during a flight from LA.
One passenger said: “She turned a deathly shade of pale. It was scary.”
The paper reports Winona, who apparently has a fear of flying, collapsed twice in the first class cabin of the British Airways flight.
Winona was released from the hospital after only a few hours.
Looks like someone needs to be a little more careful with the number of pills they pop!

We caught Benji Madden leaving Bardot last night with pal DJ Steve Aoki, and though Paris' ex was polite with photogs, he sure wouldn't spill the beans on what happened with the heiress! In fact, Benji used the exact same trick as Paris to avoid the barrage of questions from photogs - the good old "I'm on the phone and can't talk" approach - works like a charm every time!

We spotted Britney Spears out in Hollywood last night, and though the pop princess could be showing off her pretty pout, it kinda looks like she might have gotten her lips plumped too! Brit's going to England to perform on X-Factor this weekend, and then she'll head to France to perform on Star Academy next Friday, so do you think it's possible she got a little collagen before heading over to Europe?
Hey, there's nothing wrong with making your lips a little more luscious! And she's def done it before - in fact, this time last year Brit had a noticeably larger kisser, and we thought the Angelina-esque pout looked pretty hot!

Ben Affleck Visits Refugee Camps in Congo

While wife Jennifer Garner is just weeks away from giving birth to their second child, Ben Affleck is visiting war-torn refugee camps in the Central African country of Congo.
This is Ben's fourth trip to the country since 2007 and he's said to be working on a documentary to raise awareness about the country's plight.
"I'm not an expert in international affairs or diplomacy, but it doesn't take that to see the tremendous suffering here," he told The Associated Press. "It's not something that we as human beings can, in good conscience, ignore."
Ben says he first became interested in Congo when many Hollywood stars were focusing on the situation in nearby Darfur. He says he was shocked when he learned an estimated 5 million people had died in only 4 years during a war in Congo.
"I thought a lot of people are advocating on Darfur. I'd just be a very small log on a big fire. I started getting interested in Congo and I thought, this is a place where I can have a really big impact," he said.
"I think that, for better or worse, people with some profile in the arts have some currency to spend as celebrities. And for a time, I didn't spend that in any particularly productive way. And I got to a point where I thought, this is wasteful."
The situation there is so tragic, we certainly applaud Ben's efforts to raise awareness.

We spotted Joel Madden and Nicole Richie out and about yesterday, and the cute couple ran errands in the valley before Nicole headed to traffic school. Though Joel's outfit isn't quite as cute as the other ones we've seen him sporting this week, he's definitely still in the running for a most improved dresser award! Even Nicole looks thrilled about it!

X-tina to Perform at AMAs

Things keep getting better for X-tina fans!
Us Magazine reports the Dirrty girl will perform a 7-minute medley of her greatest hits at The American Music Awards on Nov. 23rd.
She'll reportedly perform "Genie in a Bottle,' "Fighter," "Beautiful," "Dirrty," and her latest single "Keeps Getting Better."
"We are very excited to have Christina Aguilera perform at this year’s show," Dick Clark Productions President Orly Adelson said.
"She raises the bar with each live performance and you can expect something special at the 2008 'American Music Awards.'"
This is only the second time X-tina's performed since giving birth to son Max almost a year ago.

I always praise Kelly Osbourne for having such a unique style, but it looks like Ozzy's daughter totally stole teen queen Miley Cyrus' outfit from the "Bolt" premiere! On Monday night Miley rocked a red skirt with a grey tank top and a black waist belt, and just two days later, Kelly wore the same thing. Yikes! Think newly engaged Kelly cares that someone convinced her to buy Hannah Montana's clothes?
