  Discount shopping in the great outdoors doesn’t seem to be a good enough reason for model and publishing heir Lydia Hearst to get casual, or, even worse, dowdy. The beauty looked like she stepped off the runway at she hunted for bargains at Super Saturday in the Hamptons this weekend. 

  Super Saturday is an event that takes place in the Hamptons every year: designers and companies donate products to be sold at discounted prices, and people pay a fee to attend the huge sale. Most of the profits from the sale of the various pieces goes to research for ovarian cancer, so this is guilt-free shopping at it’s best! The sale brings in $2 million or more a year, and it’s no surprise - the rich and/or famous like discounts just as much as anyone else.

  Everything about his foto is right: lovely lighting, beautiful girl, and great fashion!  We love those shoes; it looks like the work of Consuelo Castiglioni at Marni to us, but can you confirm?

  Model/actress Molly Simswas eager to get herself some fresh deals in the Hamptons this weekend! She was among many celebrities and fashion elite that attended Super Saturday in Water Mill, which could be described as a designer garage sale, or the most amazing sample sale you could ever imagine. You have to pay to get in, so it has to be pretty amazing.  Great choice of duffel bag, Molly!

  Stephen Belafonte, husband to Melanie Brown, took a night off from diaper duty at home to party all night at Foxtail Lounge in West Hollywood last night. There’s something quite comic about this particular foto - it’s like the girls are lining themselves up for his picking (as if) and he just doesn’t really like what he sees.   When will Jessica Simpson realize that her role as Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazard wrapped years ago? The struggling country singer channeled a poorly dressed 70’s swinger as she sprinted out of Bergdorf Goodman in New York City to keep away from the throng of photographers, autograph dealers, and random fans that were lining the streets. Jessica’s country tunes haven’t been doing as well as she hoped, and we’re not surprised at all. Maybe once she gets her personal life together and gets her PR team to keep a tight lid on her personal matters, maybe country music lovers will take er more seriously. Maybe.

  Actress Madchen Amick, who plays the love interest of Chace Crawford’s character on Gossip Girl, showed up to the set of the show at Centolire Restaurant on Madison Avenue yesterday in New York City. She looked fantastic in a sexy jersey dress covered in a Pucci-inspired print (we don’t think it’s actually Pucci, but if it is, give us a head’s up). We love this foto from Christopher - it’s sexy, direct, and the composition is pretty original.  It’s like an advertising campaign in the making!

  Jessica Szohr, who plays Vanessa Abrams on Gossip Girl, killed some time in between scenes on the set of the show yesterday. The actress and former model looked like a cleaned up 60’s hippie in fringe boots and a patchwork bag (that we think is the work of masters Dolce & Gabbana). The cast was shooting in Centolire, an Italian restaurant on Madison Avenue in the Upper East Side of New York City. We love the style of this look, especially in contrast to all of the cleaned-up, razor sharp sophistication of the rest of the cast’s looks.

  Bai Ling knows very well how to make an entrance, but a few nights ago at the premiere of The X-Files: I Want to Believe at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, she proved that she knows a thing or two about making an exit too. She wore a bright yellow Emanuel Ungaro dress to the red carpet premiere that shimmered against the light of the flashes. But the real flash came when she turned around to reveal the backside of the backless number and left us speechless. She may not have been the star of the movie, but she was the show stopper last night.

  Chris “Ludacris” Bridges arrived at a private event in Beverly hills a few days ago looking very dapper. The rapper/actor was all decked out in grey Louis Vuitton; we especially love the gray on gray Damier check on the bag.  It’s pretty exclusive, and he and Kanye West are the only people we’ve seen toting in around.  We’re all about the new streamlined, refined Chris - it stylish, and sophisticated, but he still has his own hip-hop flair.

  Taye Diggs can make almost anything look really good. Almost. He confused us by wearing an odd purple hat when he went to Crown Bar last night in Hollywood. Usually, we’re a fan of hats - its kind of an old gentleman’s tradition that coming back in a trendy, modern way. And Taye has the perfect head for a hat, and this hat isn’t bad at all, but this color is just insane, especially with the casual nature of the rest of his look. Taye could rock a paper bag and make it look great. Someone head to a supermarket and grab sack to replace that fedora, please.

  Kevin Connolly seems to have it a bit of a style stride recently. Gone are the bad light colored jeans and running sneakers when it’s time to go out and party. The actor put on his best when he went Crown Bar in Hollwood last night. He wore a gray suit that had a little sheen that the camera flash picked up on more than he probably intended. Oh, well - she still looks pretty good in the suit. And it way better than the standard “going out” shirt and ugly jeans.

  Jennifer Garner enjoyed a brief, sunny playtime with her daughter Violet. The two enjoyed some mother-daughter bonding time at a little park and playground in Pacific Palisades section of Los Angeles. Violet looked like she was having a splendid time riding around on the swinging lion contraption, and Jennifer looked equally pleased just to be there. We bet that Jen is an awesome mother - she is a wonderfully nice person, and seems like she’d be a giddy, fun, and nurturing mother.

  Our own Justin Campbell got us some great shots of America Ferrera playing her fun, endearing Betty while working on the set of Ugly Betty in New York City. Pat Fields, the shows stylist (who used to do the costuming for Sex and the City and styled the entire film) is back to working her fashion magic on America, perfecting Betty’s over-the-top looks for the show.  Pat Fields is one of the most talented people working in fashion right now, and we can’t wait to see the depth of her work this season.

  Scottish beauty Ashley Jensesn chatted on her cell as she walked to the set of Ugly Betty in New York City yesterday. The show’s cast and crew set up shop at The National Academy of Design yesterday to shoot scenes, but we are left wondering, where’s the design on Ashley? She’s looked pretty frumpy on her way to the set, but we know for a fact that Pat Fields had nothing to do with this off set look. Pat would have a nightmare is she saw that sandal. We take comfort in the fact that won’t look like this in the show.

  Eric Mabius looked a little awkward while waiting to film scenes from the upcoming season of Ugly Betty. The actor shared a scene with a young man who was on his way to school in his classic New England uniform. Maybe the two didn’t have very much in common after then finished talking about the script or the character development: they looked pretty bored and it was almost comical to watch. We hope the on screen interaction when this scene airs isn’t as painful.

  Forest Whitaker and his Wife Keisha make one hell of a duo: they are definitely one of our favorites. We caught them leaving a medical center in Beverly Hills, and we snapped a few fotos as they waited to get their car from the valet. And they were smiling and very excited to see us! There’s something so regal and classic about them; call it presence, elegance, or whatever, but they really have everything going for them. We think part of the allure is in Keisha: she’s not a lady that’s just in it for the cash and the fame. She has her own business (Kissable Couture) and she’s stuck by Forest when the roles weren’t pouring in. Not to mention that the woman could style her way out of a paper bag.

  Jennifer Garner did her shopping at Whole Food Grocery Store in Santa Monica yesterday with her cute little girl Violet attached to her hip. As everyone knows, Jennifer and Ben are expecting a new little one to enter into their crazy lives: Jen is already 5 months pregnant with child and she is no longer making a huge attempt to hide the evidence. Not that she could if she tried anymore - she may not be bursting at the seems, but we could tell from a mile away that she was expecting. Now Violet will have a permanent playmate!

  A little injury won’t be getting Cristiano Ronaldo down anytime soon. The soccer star headed to Villa Lounge in West Hollywood last night to party all night, despite an injury that keeps him from playing his beloved sport.   Ladies, prepare places somewhere in your television room to fall over. Because the minute the new season of Lipstick Jungle starts to play out, you’ll be swooning over this guy.  Carlos Ponce is the newest addition to the cast of Lipstick Jungle’s second season.  He plays the role of a contractor that going to be Victoria’s (Lindsay Price) new romantic interest.  Carlos is already popular in Central America and Puerto Rico as a pop singer and a television actor.  He’s been on a few American shows in the past, but this is a major role for him.  We’re sure he live up to the task.
