Way back in October 2010, we heard that Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts were in talks to star in a film version of Pulitzer/Tony-award winning play August: Osage County!

For those who haven’t seen the play, it revolves around a grieving mother and daughter who mercilessly argue with each other, following the death of the family’s patriarch.

Now, Weinstein Company executive David Glasser is saying that the film may start shooting THIS September, in hopes of wrapping production by the end of 2012!

If all goes according to plan, the film will be in Oscar contention during the 2013 awards season…and we have a feeling it’ll DESTROY the competition!

Egotastic! The Sexy Side Of Celebrity Gossip

Of all the award shows, the SAG awards are probably the leader in self-masturbatory displays of ego-indulgence and whining about the under-appreciation of the ‘craft’. And the DGA awards are not far behind.  But both took place over the weekend, and in between the congratulatory speeches of self-importance, there were some of Hollywood’s finest hotties decked out for the cameras and their peers.

And, there was Shailene Woodley, at both events, my new true lust-blessing of a young thespianic, and a girl whose career we are following closely, with binoculars, in her apartment, after hours. We are fans.

In addition to Shailene, the DGA Awards were highlighted by Jennifer Aniston, Berenice Bejo, and Kathleen Robertson.

Seriously, Britney is still looking mighty damn fine from behind: I’d put my hands right where hers are if I had the rights (i.e., if I could be assured that her boyfriend, Jason Trawick, wouldn’t kick my ass or anything).

The car manufacturer has released a teaser image ahead of their star-studded commercial, which will air in the United States during the Super Bowl on February 5th.
