After a week of keeping their fans (and their baby) in the dark about their new daughter’s name, a source reveals to UsMagazine.com that Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane have given the name BILLIE to their little girl.
Born on March 3, the girl was said only to be “doing great,” but the couple has refrained from announcing a name. Dane said, during an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show only that they had decided on a name but that his wife wanted to see the baby first before making it official. He said it wouldn’t be a wacky celebrity kid name (cough, Sparrow, cough) but that they “went straight down the middle with this one.”
I’m not sure Billie’s exactly down the middle, but it’s cute — if not a bit androgynous — and beautifully un-wacky
