NYDN reports that Selena Gomez is now set to play the lead in Monte Carlo, which has a trio of women trying to pass themselves off as rich ladies vacationing in Monaco. Kidman, who is producing the flick was originally set to star, but it was then decided that the script needed to be “youth-enized.”
Leighton Meester is rumored to be joining Gomez, and Kidman may be taking on a supporting role.
No hard feelings hopefully…it's definitely in the film's best interest to have Selena star, right?
