Taking a night off from looking after their son Max, Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman enjoyed a romantic dinner date in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (January 4).
With Christina dressed casually in a plaid flannel buttondown top with a green beanie, the cute together dropped into one of their favorite spots, Osteria Mozza (the place Christina celebrated her ‘Clockwork Orange’ birthday last November).
Lady Gaga, a rising star whose infectious hit “Just Dance” has overtaken the airwaves, has responded to Christina Aguilera’s alleged style-stealing. Although Christina has been around for little over a decade now, and the NYC-based Lady Gaga is just starting out, it seems that Christina’s new look was inspired by the younger singer. With their platinum blonde hair, blunt bangs, and similar (scanty) clothing choices, people have been asking: did Christina know that she was copying someone else’s look?
In November, the LA Times did an interview with Christina in which she denied any knowledge of Lada Gaga at all when she was asked to respond to people who saw a resemblance:
“You know, that’s funny that you mention that. This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure. I really don’t spend any time on the Internet, so I guess I live a little under a rock in that respect.”

Now, Lady Gaga is responding to all the press. She says that her association with Christina has led to increased attention to her music:
“Well, it was very flattering when it happened. She’s such a huge star and if anything I should send her flowers, because a lot of people in America didn’t know who I was until that whole thing happened.
“It really put me on the map in a way, though of course I don’t just want to be remembered for the Christina Aguilera scandal.
“There are no hard feelings with Christina at all,” Lady says. “What it showed me was, even thought I have only been on the commercial market for seven or eight months, I’ve really burned graphic images of my visuals onto the irises of my fans.”

Good for her. Although she doesn’t directly defend Christina, it’s nice that she takes press that was actually in her favor and tries to neutralize it. She could have started a rivalry, but instead she seems to genuinely find it flattering.
One reason that their styles look so alike is that their features are similar. They have the same nose shape, the same lips, and even a similar face shape. So when you put them in cooresponding outfits, they almost look indistinguishable. That is not to say that someone in Christina’s camp hadn’t heard of Lady Gaga. Most likely, this is a case of a costume designer finding inspiration in an underground singer, and copying it without telling Christina where the idea came from. Christina shouldn’t be blamed for the overlap in style.

In 2008, some stars shined, others had lipstick on their teeth, and some had major mascara malfunctions (ahem, Lauren Conrad!), but no matter what the situation was, X17 was there snapping their picture. We sat down and sorted through some of our favorite photos this year, and these six ladies have made it into our most memorable makeup moments of 2008. Congrats girls! Well, some of you, anyway.
Kate Beckinsale always looks lovely, but we think her eyes are especially mesmerizing - her makeup is done just right, and we think a lot of gals in Hollywood could take notes from her. Katie Price on the other hand - not so much! Katie seems to think that showgirl-style fake eyelashes and clumpy mascara are the way to go, and until she changes her mind, we'll continue to give her a virtual bitch slap on our blog!
Anne Hathaway has the perfect pout, and she slicks her lips with pretty, neutral shades of gloss that always look fabulous. Of course, Courtney Love is famous for rockin' the darker shades, but she may want to spend more time putting the lip color on her mouth rather than around it - she looks a little Joker-esque at times, and quite frankly, it scares us!
Natalie Portman takes home the best everything award because she knows that less is more, and she wears just enough makeup to look glam, but not so much that she looks trashy.
Trashy is often the first word we think of when we see Christina Aguilera - whether she's on the red carpet or out on the town, she often applies more makeup than RuPaul, and sometimes she makes Courtney Love and Shauna Sand look like natural beauties. Don't get me wrong, I loooove me some Xtina, but sometimes I want to douse her in a bucket of makeup remover and scrub her clean with a Scotch Brite sponge!

Joining the rest of America in some last-minute holiday shopping, Christina Aguilera was spotted out and about in Beverly Hills yesterday along with her husband Jordan Bratman.
The “Ain’t No Other Man” songstress and her hubby both carried cups of Starbucks coffee, apparently needing a recharge after stimulating the local economy with their holiday buys.
Awww, they grow up so fast -- it was just about a year ago (Jan. 12th to be exact) that baby Max was born and now he's celebrating his very first Hanukkah!
Xtina (who's still rocking Lilo's leggings) beamed as she showed off her little boy on the first night of the Jewish festival of lights.
Max is one lucky kid -- he gets to celebrate both holidays, and with a mom like Christina, you just know she goes overboard on the gifts!
Unfortch, she also goes overboard on the makeup...good thing Max is a boy!

Christina Aguilera and her hubby Jordan Bratman took their son Max out for a spot of shopping at Barney’s New York Clothing Boutique a few days ago in Beverly Hills, California. Christina held Max, who looked a little startled as they walked out of the clothing boutique. Daddy Jordan was in charge of folding the stroller and carrying it to the car while mommy vamped for the cameras. They made a few purchases which their security detail was kind enough to carry to their car.

Fresh off of the launch of her new fragrance “Fancy,” Christina Aguilera and her husband Jason Bratman were spotted wandering about Los Angeles on Saturday night (December 6).
Enjoying quality time together, the pop diva and her music marketer hubby paid a visit to a nearby restaurant before being spotted leaving through the take-out entrance awhile later.
Christina Aguilera skanked it up for the good shoppers of Macy’s in Los Angeles on Friday. She was promoting her latest perfume at the local mall. I assumed this was a new one, since the last one came out three months ago. Which isn’t a long time by any means, but it seems quite a while to be promoting the same old thing. But it is in fact the same old thing. I’m not sure if Christina is just a really hard worker and absolutely committed to making her perfume the best selling fragrance around, or if she’s just got nothing better to do.
Judging by the outfit she’s wearing, what I imagine probably happened is that Christina was wandering through the mall bored and wasn’t getting enough attention from the paparazzi. So she went over to Macy’s, grabbed a bottle of her vile smelling stuff, and started posing. At first people ignored her, but then the photographers, realizing how embarrassing this whole debacle was becoming, took pity on her and snapped a few courtesy shots. Eventually a crowd gathered, curious as to why Christina was hawking her wares in a summer sundress that was clearly patched together using one of her grandma’s old quilts.
To make Christina feel less stupid for leaving the house in a bad wig and a dress that’s more fitting for an afternoon of sunning oneself, a few people probably bought some perfume. Everything considered, it was an all-around success. Except for her makeup. And the dress. And the smell of the perfume. And the expressions on her face. But aside from all those things, it was aces all around.

If you’ve ever wondered what Christina Aguilera smells like when she hits the clubs, the mystery is over. The “Ain’t No Other Man” songstress unveiled her new fragrance last night at Macy’s at the Glendale Galleria in Los Angeles.
Named “Inspire,” Christina’s new scent is said to be a mix of fruity scents, including mango, citrus, and freesia, along with a floral array including tuberose, gardenia, rose, and sandalwood.
When Christina Aguilera showed up to the Grammy Nomination Ceremony, it was nice to see her looking somewhat normal. Although she has her trademark bleached blonde hair and hooker red lipstick, she does maintain a sort of class even though she’s wrapped in what seems to be a heavy duty trash bag. What irony.

Us Magazine reports the Dirrty girl will perform a 7-minute medley of her greatest hits at The American Music Awards on Nov. 23rd.
She'll reportedly perform "Genie in a Bottle,' "Fighter," "Beautiful," "Dirrty," and her latest single "Keeps Getting Better."
"We are very excited to have Christina Aguilera perform at this year’s show," Dick Clark Productions President Orly Adelson said.
"She raises the bar with each live performance and you can expect something special at the 2008 'American Music Awards.'"
This is only the second time X-tina's performed since giving birth to son Max almost a year ago.

Apparently Christina Aguilera has been accused by the media (Perez) for stealing Lady Gaga’s “style”. Sometimes I don’t believe the shit that Perez Hilton says on his site. And this is one of those times. Why would Christina steal Gaga’s style when Christina has been doing her OWN thang for years! Sure, Christina hasn’t always looked flattering, but the bitch doesn’t have to steal ideas from Gaga.
