Continuing to work on what’s now become an extended second season, Blake Lively and her off-screen lover Penn Badgley were spotted hard-at-work on the set of “Gossip Girl” in New York City on Friday (November 21).
Joined by co-star Taylor Momsen, the CW stars ran through a few sequences - during which it appears as if Blake’s Serena van der Woodsen character is a bit upset with Badgley’s Dan Humphrey.
With the holidays just around the corner, our favorite stars are already starting to celebrate. And last night Madonna and Rihanna were spotted at Gucci’s swanky dinner at the Plaza Hotel.

The on/off-screen sweethearts looked focused for their upcoming day of filming scenes, with Blake sporting a grey overcoat as she cuddled her puppy pal, while Penn opted for a grey sweater, dark trousers, and matching slip-on shoes.
There's good news to report about the condition of Blake Lively's father Ernie.
"He's going to make a full recovery, thankfully," Blake's mom, Elaine, tells Usmagazine.com
As we told you earlier, Blake rushed to her father's side after his car crashed down an embankment in L.A. on Monday.
"It was a horrific accident," Blake's mom says. "He was on his way to the set of Criminal Minds, and he swerved to miss a car, and his car tumbled down an embankment.
"Blake is here, the whole family is here, and yesterday it didn't look good," she tells the magazine. "But thankfully, now we have been told he is going to make a full recovery. It's all been taken care of."
Ernie, "suffered back injuries, and also his lungs," Elaine says. "But it if far less serious than we thought yesterday.
"We do not know when he will be out of hospital," she says. "We are just happy he is going to be OK.

Blake Lively has reportedly flown to Los Angeles after her father was seriously injured in a car crash.
According to Star Magazine, Ernie Lively broke his back, arm and nose in the crash. He's currently being treated at an undisclosed LA area hospital.
Blake's dad is also an actor, they appeared together in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and he's made guest appearances on The West Wing.
The accident "was pretty bad--he's lucky to be alive," a source told the magazine.
"They are as close as any father and daughter could be — she was beside herself when she got this horrible news. Her dad taught her everything."
Our thoughts and prayers are with Blake and her family. We wish Ernie a very speedy recovery.
We mentioned earlier that Gossip Girl star Blake Lively's pops, Ernie, was critically injured in a car accident, Monday in Los Angeles.
Well, there's some good news to report!
Ernie has been moved out of critical care into a regular room.
That's a good sign!
Poppa Lively suffered a broken back, nose and arm in the accident.
Serious stuff.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively was greeted by a very friendly puppy yesterday in Queens, New York City! Blake met Gossip Girl costume supervisor Tonya Huskey for a short chat as Blake headed to film a scene. It was Tonya’s little pooch that was so excited to pretty Blake. Is it just us or is Blake having a fantastic hair day? All those blonde locks were looking beautiful in the sunshine.
Everyone’s thoughts when Blake Lively showed up to the Gossip Girl/Vitamin water function last weekend must have been “damn that frilly crap on her chest!” When you decide to wear a see-through white shirt, not only is it considerate not to wear a bra, but you can’t have gay crap covering everything like a tease. At least there is half a boob showing. Maybe if I use a magnifying glass, I can picture the rest.

It looks like the new season of Gossip Girl is going to have plenty of drama, judging from the scene between Leighton Meester and Blake Lively that was filmed yesterday.
The “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” hottie and her brunette co-star were spotted flailing around and pulling each other’s hair on a balcony as the cameras rolled.
I’m calling BS on this one. Although I do believe that Blake Lively is as slutty in real life as she is as Serena van der Woodsen, I do not for one nanosecond believe home girl has only kissed three people in her entire life. Blake told Cosmopolitan that she is a Good Girl, not a Gossip Girl.
“There wasn’t a period in my life like Serena went through, where I was doing drugs and having sex with my best friend’s boyfriend. I never went through that kind of crazy. I’ve kissed just three people in my life, other than stuff that I’ve done for TV or movies,” she says. “I know - I’m weird!
And although she is in a serious relationship with costar Penn Badgley, she has a thing for Brad Pitt. “I hopeBrad Pitt doesn’t hear this ,” Lively says, teasing. “He’s never going to want to marry me!”
