Camilla Alves went shopping yesterday along Robertson Blvd, a favorite hangout for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Looking very much like the picture of happy family, Matthew McConaughey, his girlfriend Camila Alves and their son Levi were spotted going for a family stroll yesterday near their Malibu, California home.

The 2-week-old baby was securely strapped into his stroller while Papa Matthew carried a basket on top of his head, and Mama Camila wore a skin tight re-shaper dress to get back to her pre-baby form.

With baby fever sweeping through Hollywood as of late, Matthew McConaughey is the latest celeb to announce an upcoming birth. He and girlfriend Camila Alves (a Brazilian model) will reportedly become parents together in 2008.

The “Dazed and Confused” actor declared on his website, “My girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together. It’s 3 months growin in her womb and all looks healthy and lively so far. We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being mother and a father, and shepherding him or her through this life.”

Matthew McConaughey, 37, and his girlfriend, Brazilian model Camilla Alves, 22, are currently in the romantic city of Paris and it looks like he might have chosen the same setting as Tom Cruise to pop the question. Camilla was seen with what looks suspiciously like an engagement ring on her left ring finger.

There was a story about a month ago that Matthew was going to propose to Camilla, and that he was planning to move out of his trailer on the beach and buy a mansion for her.

Matthew can certainly afford spacious digs. He is still getting plenty of movie roles and was just announced as the replacement for Owen Wilson in the comedy Tropic Thunder. According to IMDB, McConaughey has four movies coming out next year, and is announced for another that will be released in 2009. I wonder if he’ll squeeze a big wedding in there too.

Does this mean that Matty is settling down? Will he buy that mansion in Malibu instead of continuing to live out of an airstream trailer strewn with bachelor memorabilia? Time will tell. I would like to see him become a dad too, but considering how young his girlfriend is there’s certainly no hurry.

Since you guys liked those bikini pics I posted yesterday of Matthew McConaughey’s supermodel girlfriend Camilla Alves, here’s more from earlier this summer. I don’t know what the hell they’re doing over in Brazil but it seems to be working. We should have conquered and forcibly assimilated that country when we had the chance. Thanks a lot Abraham Lincoln! Missed the fucking boat on that one.
