Jodie Sweetin and her on-screen big sis Candace Cameron Bure had lunch together at the Ivy restaurant yesterday in Beverly Hills, California. The two, of course, were co-stars on the sitcom Full House back in the day. Both are married mamas now, but they are still managing to keep busy. Candace just opened a family winery with her husband, and Jodie just had a baby. The two girls smiled and laughed as they left the restaurant, and were sweet enough to pose for fotos for us and with fans.

The stars of the super-sweet sitcom Full House have turned out to be more infamous than famous. The Olsen twins have every move covered by the paparazzi, Jodi Sweetin is a recovering meth-addict with a new baby and is reportedly shopping a reality show, Dave Coulier’s last big gig was The Surreal Life, Bob Saget is a crude and slightly creepy comedian, and John Stamos is doing well on ER but had an allegedly jetlag-induced meltdown on Australian TV.
So what ever happened to oldest sis DJ Tanner? Candace Cameron, now known by her married name of Candace Cameron Bure, had made a few Lifetime movies starring as date-rape victims and alien abductees, but has mostly devoted the past ten years to being a mother to kids Natasha, age 10, Lev, age 8, and Max, 6.
“I absolutely love being a mom….I wanted to stay home and be with them. My kids are a hoot and just so much fun to be with.”

Candace is also an evangelical Christian who home schools her children. She includes several statements on her personal website about her faith and dedication to the Lord.
Her Russian-born husband Valeri Bure played professional hockey for several teams over his 10-year career, but retired in 2005. The family is currently based in LA. For alone time, Candace and Valeri head north to Napa Valley, where Valeri has a wine label. They held a launch in LA for Bure Family Wines on July 28, with Bob Saget and Dave Coulier in attendance.
With her husband retired and her kids school age, maybe Candace is considering a comeback at the ripe old age of 32. Let’s just hope she doesn’t start with Dancing with the Stars, although she certainly has the figure to wear those revealing costumes.

As we reported yesterday, Candace Bushnell uses a character in her next novel to retaliate against the disrespectful new generation of journalists which has emerged since the Sex And The City creator gave up her relationship column in the New York Observer. The bogeyman of One Fifth Avenue is Thayer Core—"a blogger on one of those vicious new websites that had popped up in the last few years, displaying a hatred and vitriol that was unprecedented in civilized New York." But the thin-skinned author gives the gossip blogs far too much credit.
For instance, neither Gawker nor its counterparts have ever properly examined the extent to which Bushnell even penned those original Sex And The City columns—upon which the HBO show was based—during the 1990s. The name was the idea of Peter Kaplan; and the Observer editor said ten years ago that there was "blood on the floor" after some editing sessions. But veterans of the weekly say it went beyond that: the columns owe more to Peter Stevenson, executive editor of the Observer, than the rambling drafts that Bushnell submitted. One hopes she secured an equally competent ghost-writer for the blog-bashing new novel.

TMZ.com: Last night, Joey Gladstone and DJ Tanner came out from under the rock of irrelevancy they'd been hiding under since 1995 -- and not much has changed in 13 years. You got it dude!Outside Villa, Evangelical hottie Candace Cameron still played second... Read more
As if it weren't already hard enough to ignore the numbers of downtrodden foreigners who sacrifice so much so that we can have our doors opened, our bodies taxied and our authentic New York City Chinese food delivered, New York magazine has to run a story on what it's like (not great) to be a spa worker in this town. Thanks, Emily Nussbaum, for reminding us that there's something "distinctly slave and master" about having an Asian woman kneeling and scraping off your calluses.
Last night, apartments in what is known locally as the ugliest building in Greenpoint were seriously papered. Were they eviction notices? Utility shut-offs? No! Just a note from Candace Bushnell and friends.
They were requesting the possible use of the building—perhaps the tackiest-looking place in Greenpoint—for an exterior shot for NBC's version of Bushnell's book, "Lipstick Jungle."
"The series depicts three successful, dynamic executives as they balance the myriad aspects of the professional and personal sides of their lives," the missive explains helpfully.
The building is not well-known for its successful and dynamic executives.
What was it that attracted them so—the many eagles adorning the building, or the eerie white horse heads lining the gate? Either way, NBC promised, "if selected, you will be compensated"! Well, it's almost the end of the month. Film all you want for, say, $675?
