Russell Brand, and his guest partner in crime, Jonathan Ross (top left), were suspended by the BBC today after leaving ill-humored messages on the voicemail of 78-year-old Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs as part of a gag for their BBC Radio 2 show. The pre-recorded show aired during Russell’s Saturday night time slot. Apparently Sachs was to appear live on the show but cancelled and the boys decided to follow up with the hoax voicemails.
In the voicemails (offending video clip below), the two tell Andrew that Russell had made love to his granddaughter Georgina Baillie (which was true). They also joked that Andrew Sachs might kill himself after finding this out.
The BBC received around 18,000 complaints. Because of this, they have announced that both Russell and Jonathan’s shows are temporarily suspended while they investigate. Russell and Ross made things worse by suggested making it up to Sachs by breaking into his house and fondling him as he slept.
Andrew Sachs said that he was not surprised about the suspension, but he isn’t going to report the matter to the police. He said the matter was “very upsetting” not just for himself, but for his wife who is ill in hospital and other members of his family.
Andrew’s granddaughter, who performs as Volptua in a burlesque group called the Satanic Sluts, told The UK Sun that she wants them both fired for her humiliating her. She said, “Russell Brand has embarrassed me by making a private relationship very public in the cruelest way imaginable. We were lovers but I trusted him as a friend as well. He has betrayed me for a few cheap laughs and left my grandfather distraught. Is that what the BBC calls entertainment?”
The Prime Minister even commented, “This is clearly inappropriate and unacceptable behavior, as is now widely recognized. Ofcom have said they will investigate the matter and it is for the BBC, the BBC Trust and Ofcom to take any appropriate action.”

Former Atomic Kitten member and current English reality TV disaster Kerry Katona appeared for a live interview on The Morning with Fern and Philip today seemingly quite stoned! Kerry was on ‘This Morning’ to discuss an upcoming MTV show wherein she undergoes cosmetic surgery on camera to regain the figure she lost to pregnancy.
Fern Britton and Philip Schofield perhaps sensing things were amiss kept drilling in (in very polite English fashion), on Kerry about her past substance abuse troubles! But Kerry was trying so hard to be sincere but seemed to be struggling to keep it together. Trying to defend herself, Kerry said she couldn’t sleep the night before, so she took some sleeping pills. Just perhaps though she may have washed down her medication with a bottle or two of champagne? Concerned viewers called in, one of the saying, “It’s car crash TV - she looked and sounded utterly dreadful.” If you happen to listen to the video below let me know how many times do you hear Kerry say: “I was on holiday in Spain or what’s wrong with a drink on holiday?”

In case you happen to be hanging out with Chris Martin, best not to mention Brad Pitt in conversation. After giving an acceptance speech at the Q Awards, Chris told a journalist who works for Q magazine, Paul Reese, that he and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow had been talking about how they have one of those fantasy arrangements where he would be allowed to leave her for a certain starlet or she would be allowed to leave him for the singers from Westlife (of all choices). HollyMoly tells what happened next:
Clearly bemused by Paltrow’s choice and not giving himself time to engage his brain, Reese blurted out: “You could have at least told her Brad Pitt.”
Chris responded:
“She was engaged to him, you f***er.”
Realising he’d just committed a massive faux pas, Rees tried to comfort Martin with a fatherly arm round the shoulder while pointing out that Paltrow had at least dumped the Hollywood A-lister for him.
Martin let out a nasty curse word and then proceeded with a swift blow to the journalist’s chest. Kind of a cold-play by Chris, if you ask me!

George Michael has supposedly fled the country of England in shame, following his embarrassing arrest for possessing crack cocaine and marijuana in a public toilet.
He has been in hiding since Friday after his arrest for possession of Class A and C drugs, which followed a tip-off from a lavatory attendant near Hampstead Heath.
Police decided to take no further action after he ’showed remorse’ and said it would ruin his career and stop him touring in the US.
The pop star, 45, left his $10 million London mansion with partner Kenny Goss and six large suitcases and holdalls last night.
Michael played the final date of a two-year tour at Earls Court last month and is not due to play again until an Aids benefit with Dita Von Teese in Texas next month.
Now he has decided to take time out after ’screwing up again’ and promised to ’sort myself out’, leaving last night without speaking to waiting media outside. Michael’s publicist said: ‘We don’t know where he’s going.’
Michael’s arrest on Friday came nearly two years after he was found slumped over the wheel of his car, when blood tests found anti-depressants, cannabis and the illegal dance drug GHB. In May last year he pleaded guilty to driving while unfit through drugs and was banned from driving for two years.

Pretty much everyone saw this coming. Pat O’Brien was already on double secret probation with CBS, after he went to rehab again recently. Earlier this week, Pat pretty much put the coffin on his career with an e-mail sent to the staff of “The Insider” that got leaked. In it he trash talked Lara Spencer claiming she makes viewers sick, because she only cares about irrelevant things like fashion. While Pat cares about important things like helping the poor and saving the world.
CBS not wasting much time since the contents of the email leaked (perhaps they leaked it themselves?), issued this statement:
“Pat O’Brien is a talented broadcaster who has been a part of The Insider family from the very beginning. Although we have decided to part ways, everyone at CBS Television Distribution and The Insider greatly appreciate and respect all his contributions to our show. We wish Pat much success in his future endeavors.”
Nice way of saying don’t let the door smack you in the behind on the way out. Somewhere out there Lara Spencer is totally celebrating this news!

Motherhood has supposedly mellowed Nicole Richie, but perhaps not so much! Nicole was hanging at the Charlotte Ronson Fashion Week after-party in NYC the other night when a young Swedish tourist started taking her picture. A witness told Page Six that Nicole kind of lost it and went Kanye West on the tourists’ butt. The witness said Nicole shouted at her, “I’m not an animal,” and then she “jumped over the velvet rope, ripped the camera out of the girl’s hand, and smashed it to the ground.”
It’s kind of ironic to yell something like “I’m not an animal,” and then act like she was brought up in a barn? Btw, the references to Kanye West in case your not keeping up were in regards to him and his bodyguard attacking a still photographer at LAX, while the whole scene was caught on tape earlier this week.
That’s Nicole and Kanye at Fashion Week together, presumably shortly before the camera attack. Do you think they discussed Kanye’s previous incident?

Howard Stern is facilitating auctioning off the virginity of 22-year-old San Diego student ‘Natalie Dylan’ (pictured right) this morning. Whether you’re a fan or not of Howard Stern’s show, if you’ve ever listened you know this is the type of stuff he loves to air. The auction will be conducted at bunnyranch.com, and that the deal will be consummated at the Bunny Ranch in Nevada (seen on HBO’s hit series “Cathouse.”), where Natalie’s sister happens to work as a prostitute. The San Diego woman who says she wants to sell her maidenhood to pay her college tuition, will conduct the auction, on Stern’s Sirius radio show.
“I don’t have a moral dilemma with it,” says the pretty brunette, who’s using the pseudonym of Natalie Dylan “for safety reasons. “We live in a capitalist society,” she tells the NY Daily News: “Why shouldn’t I be allowed to capitalize on my virginity?”
Let’s see, the sister is a prostitute and the 22-year-old young lady has no moral dilemna about selling her body, but has remained a virgin? It doesn’t seem to add up but ‘Natalie’ says she’s willing to submit to a polygraph test and a gynecological exam to confirm her virginity. And there’s also an alleged sad story behind the madness. According to Natalie, she and her sister were forced into the sex for money situation partly because their stepfather allegedly took out student loans in their names without their permission, leaving them unable to finance their education. Natalie says she’s already earned her bachelor’s degree in women’s studies at Sacramento State and that in January she’ll start her master’s work in marriage and family therapy there. She hopes to get a doctorate.
Natalie says the winner won’t necessarily be the highest bidder. “I want someone with chemistry. We’ll take bids until I find a suitor I’m happy with.”

Gary Coleman, his wife Shannon (yep, they are still together), and his bodyguard got into a squabble with 24-year-old Colt Rushton, at a bowling alley in Payson, Utah on Friday night.
Coleman’s bodyguard claims that Colt got in Gary’s face and tried to get a picture using his phone. When Gary turned him down, Colt got aggressive and took a few pictures anyway. Apparently Coleman got into his vehicle, started to leave and ended up hitting Colt and another car. The bodyguards story is that Coleman hit Colt with his truck after he darted behind him. Hmm, do you think the cops are going to buy that story?
Colt of course has a totally different story to tell. He claims that Gary’s wife grabbed his cell phone while Gary was punching at him. The Coleman’s then got into their truck to leave and Colt chased after them to get his phone back. That’s when Gary slammed the vehicle into reverse and and backed into him, knocking him to the ground, and also hitting another car.
I am not trying to take sides but I find Colt’s story a bit more believable. One also wonders why the bodyguard wasn’t the one to intervene on the Coleman’s behalf? Seems like that’s his job?
Colt was taken to the hospital, treated and released. Police are currently investigating and no arrests have yet been made, but they said alcohol just might have played a part.

Lily Allen and an open bar usually spells embarrassment. And so we had Lily co-hosting the GQ Awards in London with Elton John, taking advantage of the free champagne. As the evening wore on, things gradually deteriorated as Lily continually sipped champagne on stage.
The 23-year-old, decked out in an extravagant ballgown, soon began slurring, swearing and ad-libbing, and it was only a matter of time before she and a frustrated Elton clashed.
When she came to announce ‘and now the most important part of the night’, Elton chipped in ‘What? Are you going to have another drink?’
Embarrassed, Lily didn’t let Elton get the last laugh. She hissed back:
‘F*** off Elton. I am 40 years younger than you and have my whole life ahead of me!’
The shocked audience which included Led Zeppelin, London Mayor Boris Johnson, Elizabeth Hurley, Elle Macpherson, Thandie Newton and Mark Ronson, fell silent.
A clearly rattled Elton replied ‘I could still snort you under the table’. To which she replied: ‘F*** off. I don’t know what you are talking about.’
Cocaine usage perhaps?
On more than one occasion, Elton could be seen having a stern word with Lily in the wings between awards.
Apparently the words had little effect and Lily barely made it off the stage after the awards ended - before drinking even more at the afterparty.
Allen also sparked rumors her brother Alfie is engaged to Ray Winstone’s daughter Jaime - after perhaps letting slip the good news at the awards ceremony.
The Smile star welcomed Winstone’s actress daughter onto the stage, telling the shocked audience, “Introducing my soon-to-be-sister-in-law, Jaime Winstone.” Despite Winstone pleading with the singer to stay quiet, Allen then yelled, “Show off your rock (ring), show off your diamond.” Alfie Allen, 21, has been dating the 23-year-old since last year.

Movie star Gwyneth Paltrow appears in the latest advertising campaign for Italian designer, angering animal activists after she was pictured draped in fox fur. The ‘interesting’ decision to endorse Tod’s, a luxury goods company which also uses ostrich and snakeskin in its products, has come as a shock to animal rights campaigners and kind of defies common sense.
Paltrow, is married to the Coldplay singer and vegetarian Chris Martin and has won praise for her impeccable green credentials and is a fan of holistic practices and yoga. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has revealed the group has sent the actress letters and videos “showing how people suffer for fur” but are yet to receive a response from Gwyneth.
Friends have said that Paltrow’s decision will jeopardize her close friendship with Stella McCartney, the designer and the daughter of Sir Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney, the animal rights activist.
Paltow replaced another social pariah, Sienna Miller, who starred in last year’s campaigns.

Ronnie Wood escorts daughter Leah Wood to her wedding at Southwark Cathedral on June 21, 2008 in London, England, shortly after his previous visit to rehab
Ronnie Wood has entered rehab today, a spokeswoman for the star confirmed. Fears were raised last week for the health of the Rolling Stone guitarist, who had only recently come out of rehab.
Wood reportedly met a Russian cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova, 19, in a bar while he we was allegedly ‘boozed out of his mind’.
Boozed out of his mind indeed as he’s reportedly been drinking two bottles of vodka a day.
Wood fled to a bolt-hole in Ireland with a Russian cocktail waitress.
His spokeswoman said: ‘Following Ronnie’s continued battle with alcohol he has entered a period of rehab.
His son, Jesse, 30, had gone to Ireland to try and talk the guitarist into returning. Wood, 61, flew home yesterday in an apparent bid to save his marriage. Wife Jo, 53, is said to have threatened to end their 23-year marriage.
His close family and friends say he is seeking help and look forward to his recovery.

Verne Troyer’s sex tape partner, 22-year-old former girlfriend Ranae Shrider, in a surprise turn, is apparently the person trying to sell the scandalous video! Ranae just went from victim to money whoring slut in my book if this is true. According to TMZ sources Ranae is now actively shopping the sex tape around town.
TMZ’s sources are saying the aspiring model is asking for a minimum $25,000, and a deal may have already been struck with the video hitting the market as early as next week.
Meanwhile as we posted previously, Verne has reportedly filed a multimillion-dollar federal lawsuit last week against TMZ for posting snippets of the sex tape he made sometime over the last year with Ranae.
The 39-year-old Mini-Me and more recently Love Guru actor says that TMZ disregarded cease-and-desist letters sent both before and after the video showed up on the site. TMZ has chided back that, “what’s he complaining about, it’s the only good movie Verne Troyer has done this year.”

Months after returning to the air with a pledge to mend the wounds caused by his comments about a women’s basketball team, radio broadcaster Don Imus is once again defending an on-air remark considered racial.
During an on-air conversation yesterday (Monday) about the arrests of suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam (Pacman) Jones, Imus asked, “What color is he?”
Told by sports announcer Warner Wolf that Jones, is “African-American,” Imus responded: “There you go. Now we know”.
The segment did appear to have a common theme with earlier segments, as Imus asked about the race of Rocco Mediate while discussing Tiger Woods winning the US Open. Perhaps Imus though should just drop the race questions after all he has been through?
After a firestorm of criticism that ensued, Imus said Monday that he had been misunderstood.
“I meant that he was being picked on because he’s black,” Imus said in a statement released by his spokesman.
WABC and Citadel Broadcasting Corp. Vice President Phil Boyce said Imus would explain his comments on his Tuesday morning show and said it was unlikely the broadcasters would take disciplinary action.

Linda Hogan made a 911 call on May 22nd to report her estranged husband Hulk Hogan was outside of her house. Linda claimed she has a court restraining order to keep her soon to be ex away from her. Hulk got into his car and drove away. That’s when Linda who was leaving her house at the time got into her car and started following him. Who’s stalking whom one wonders? The operator had to scold Linda to stop following Hulk.

Hulk by the way denies that there is an injunction against him and Linda’s claims that Hulk was violating an injunction were listed as “unfounded” on the police report. The case was closed on June 2 and no charges were filed.
