It’s been tearing up the box office here in America, setting sales records since its release. And earlier today “Quantum of Solace” premiered in Tokyo, Japan.
Of course, the main man Daniel Craig was in the house for the big Japanese premiere, strolling down the red carpet with his beautiful girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell.
Daniel Craig has made a few comments about who should be the next Bond after he’s finished his stint. It’s almost like he can’t wait to get out from under the career defining role and pass the burden on to someone else. Craig has said that the next Bond should be black, or even American. But after a recent red carpet meeting, he’s decided he knows the “perfect” next James Bond. Daniel and Prince Harry were introduced at the Royal premiere of the latest Bond flick and Craig seems to think there’s no better Bond replacement.
Daniel Craig has named the ‘perfect’ man to replace him as James Bond – Prince Harry.
The actor, who met the young Royal at the premiere of Quantum Of Solace, said: ‘I think Prince Harry would make a fantastic James Bond. He’s suave, and just a little bit dangerous.
‘Like Bond, he is unpredictable and would be a perfect Bond. He’s got everything it takes.’

For some reason, I can see this. Harry has developed the dashing Bond persona, the rebellious, but still posh and elite thing that made early Bond, but he also has that craving for danger that characterizes Craig’s Bond. If the increasingly more attractive of the two princes ever decided to go into showbiz, Bond would certainly be the way to go.
Alas, I have doubts the Queen would approve, so Prince Harry is just going to have to be a real life Bond-esque character. Maybe Craig can get a private audience with Liz and Chuck and convince them that Harry becoming Bond would be the best PR the Royal Family could hope for.

Roger Moore is seldom chosen in any poll as the most cherished James Bond. While he certainly made a mark as the British agent, more people prefer Connery, Bronson, or the current Daniel Craig. But Moore doesn’t regret trading in his TV career to become Bond. Roger Moore has written his memoirs about his experiences, the book is called “My Word is My Bond.”
Asked about his own legacy as an actor known mostly for playing Bond and in TV series such as “The Saint,” and “The Persuaders,” with Tony Curtis, Moore said: “I would love to be remembered as one of the greatest Lears or Hamlets. But as that’s not going to happen I’m quite happy I did Bond.”
His memoir is full of anecdotes about Hollywood and the stars he worked with such as Vivien Leigh, Mae West and Lana Turner. He also tells of his bust-up with Grace Jones during the filming of “A View to a Kill,” when he forcibly pulled the plug on her stereo and flung a chair against the wall because she was playing loud rock music.

Roger, who played the Bond character in a more fanciful, amusing way than the franchise has turned lately, laments the violent turn the character has taken. When he was playing the character, he was asked to be more sinister than he was comfortable with a few times, and while he tried to keep the character more charm than force, he was unsuccessful.
“I am happy to have done it, but I’m sad that it has turned so violent,” Moore said before “Quantum of Solace,” starring Daniel Craig as a darker Agent 007, opens in North America on Friday.
Moore, 81, recalled being appalled at the violence in “A View to a Kill,” the 1985 movie which was the last of the seven in which he played Bond. “That wasn’t Bond,” he said.
While making “The Man With the Golden Gun,” director Guy Hamilton wanted Bond to be tougher and had him threaten to break Maud Adams’ character’s arm to get information, he writes. “That sort of characterization didn’t sit well with me, but Guy was keen to make my Bond a little more ruthless.
“I suggested my Bond would have charmed the information out of her by bedding her first. My Bond was a lover and a giggler, but I went along with Guy,” the British actor wrote.

But Moore knows that the direction the character has taken is what the public wants these days. The new Daniel Craig Bond was more embraced as the character after one movie than Moore’s was after seven.
Moore said, “Daniel has done one Bond and he was in ‘Munich’ and … he’s done a lot of stuff, but his face, after one Bond film, that’s all he needs. He is Bond.”
And for now, I think most would agree, he is.

Hello! Magazine has a new interview with hot Bond powerhouse Daniel Craig. The smoldering blond Bond comes across as both grateful for his fame and willing to work hard to ensure that he stays on the top of his game. Craig says he’s touched by the adoration he receives from fans, but that it’s not that relevant to him because he’s in a long term relationship. He’s humble and low-key when it comes to the praise that’s been heaped on him for his performance in the action role. As for the future of the series, he says he’s up to playing Bond for as long as he’s wanted.
On his fans and hot body
Q: These days, women are falling over themselves to meet Daniel Craig. How do you find the attention?
“I’m very touched by it. I have to have a sense of humour about it, because on the one hand it’s very nice and on the other hand it doesn’t have much relevance to my life, because I live with somebody.”
Q: You’ve pumped up your physique for the Bond role. Do you enjoy showing off?
“I don’t feel particularly comfortable with it. Obviously, it’s nice to get fit and be in good shape, but it’s a by-product.
Q: It must make you very proud to have so many people say you’re the best Bond since Sean Connery…
“Obviously, I am very proud of that and it is very nice of them to say that. But not everybody thinks that. Believe me, I know that.
Q: What has been your most memorable encounter with fans since you became Bond?
“Getting out of the car at the premiere of Casino Royale in London is something I’m never going to forget - I’m not sure how many thousands of fans were standing there in Leicester Square.”

On his character traits as Bond: He drinks on screen but doesn’t smoke
Craig talks about how he’s reinterpreted Ian Fleming’s Bond. He is asked what character traits from the books he’s used or avoided, and he says that Bond’s chain smoking was cut because “I can’t do that [smoke 60 cigarettes a day] and run two-and-a-half miles down the road, it just doesn’t tie in.” He adds that “the drinking’s there, the Dutch courage.” He says he orders his martinis as Vespers like in the last film and that “it’s a big fat, heavy drink of alcohol, but it’s actually quite a good drink.” (Here are some recipes for that drink if you’re interested, Craig describes it as “two parts vodka, two parts gin, then a measure of Kina Lillet.”) The cast did drink the actual martinis on set, and he said “The trouble is, with three it’s ok, but four, you’re ‘Well, this evening could be over soon!’”
Quantum of Solace is a very different film from Casino Royale, according to Craig. He says that it won’t be his last if things go right.
On continuing to play Bond for as long as we’ll have him
Q: Do you see Bond as a long term job?
“It’s becoming that way. We’ll see how this one turns out. If everything goes well, if people still want to see these movies, I’ll keep doing them for as long as it takes - or until my knees go, whichever happens quicker.”

Gemma Arterton lines up alongside Sir Roger Moore and current Bond Daniel Craig
An entire host of Bond stars turned out to an event on Sunday to pay tribute to Bond author Fleming, including former 007 star Roger Moore and the current Bond, Daniel Craig. A bevy of former Bond Girls also made an appearance, including Caroline Munro and Madeline Smith. Gemma Arterton was also on hand for the London party to mark the end of author Ian Fleming’s centenary year. The 22-year-old showed off her curvaceous figure in a stunning gold dress.
Arterton beat out competition from 1,500 other hopefuls to get the role as the latest Bond Girl in Quantum of Solace - the 22nd film, which will be released on November 14. Beauty comes in many forms and Gemma started out life with a few unique features. She tells Esquire magazine at the party: ‘I was born with lots of deformities.’ She revealed she was born with six fingers on each hand. The extra fingers were ‘tied’, which causes them to fall off naturally. ‘It’s my little oddity that I’m really proud of. It makes me different.’ Earlier this year, she revealed she was also born with a crumpled ear, which was corrected through surgery.
Gema also revealed she moved her new Spanish boyfriend Eduardo Munoz into her two-bedroom flat in Crouch End, north London this month. The actress met the 19-year-old 6ft 2in action man on the Moroccan set of the $100 million blockbuster Prince Of Persia in August, where he was employed to teach her how to ride horses. They hit it off immediately, despite the language barrier. But she has now had to hire a translator to help them understand each other better.

When we got this clip in an email titled "Roseanne Barr Vaginal Rejuvenation," we gagged and choked back a sudden upsurge of bile in our throat. And just retyping that now, for you, we've had to suppress the urge to upchuck once again. But it didn't seem right to keep this 30-second clip all to ourselves. It features portly loudmouth Roseanne on Craig Ferguson's talk show, discussing, you know, what we just said. Anne Heche was on the “Late Late Show” with Craig Ferguson and in his funny “roll with me” interview style he got her to talk about some pretty controversial issues in her life.
On cheating with James Tupper
Ferguson first asked her if she fell in love with James Tupper on the set of their show, “Men in Trees,” and she admitted that they did have feelings for each other on set.
Then Ferguson told a story about how he fell for a woman he was playing lovers with, and Anne asked “Were you married at the time.” Craig said “yes,” and she asked “And did you stay married?” and he said “no.” (According to Wikipedia, Ferguson has been married and divorced twice, so this could have been true.)
Heche said “Neither did I [stay married]” and “it happens.”
Both Anne Heche and James Tupper were married and had children with their spouses when they hooked up on set.
On the tabloids
Ferguson asked “Do you get bothered by that? All the tabloids… chasing you around? You’ve had a few adventures in the tabloids.”
“I’ve had a few adventures in life.”
On being gay
Craig reminded Anne of running into her years ago in NY when he was hanging out with British director Brian Gibson, and she half-heartedly claimed to have remembered him.
Craig joked that he was making out with him, and Anne said “I didn’t know Brian was gay,” and he quickly shot in “Were you?”
He said “You were gay for a bit… you have an open mind.”
Anne said “I have yes - had an open mind. But then I make decisions, ‘I have an open mind, but then I’ve learned about that. Fantastic’”
“I have an open mind, I can change my mind.”
“There’s a door, we can close that door. We can go to another door.”
Toward the end of the interview Craig asked Anne about filming in Vancouver and whether she would consider becoming a Canadian citizen. She said “sure.” He reminded the audience that her boyfriend and co-star, James Tupper, is Canadian and that she might consider Canadian citizenship if she married him. Last week’s Star Magazine reported that they were planning a June wedding.

Actor Daniel Craig aka Bond - James Bond, is set to marry his film producer girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell, it has been reported.
The couple allegedly plan to marry when Daniel, 40, finishes filming the latest Bond film strangely named, Quantum of Solace.
In the meantime Satsuki, 29, has been showing off a very beautiful Cartier ring with a large diamond solitaire with a platinum setting and is also keeping a close eye on Craig, visiting the handsome actor on the Bond set in Panama every day.
The couple originally met on set of the 2005 movie The Jacket, where Daniel had a supporting role, starring alongside Keira Knightley and Adrien Brody.
Their relationship cooled off the same year, when Daniel reportedly had a fling with his Layer Cake co-star Sienna Miller.
But a source tells the British newspaper The Sun: “Daniel and Satsuki are now stronger than ever. They’re planning an intimate ceremony for close family and friends. They make a great couple.”
Daniel has a daughter, Ella, from his first wife, actress Fiona Louson. The marriage ended in 1994.
Craig’s spokesman has chosen not to comment on any wedding plans.

James Bond is back! Oh, how I *heart* the Bond flicks. The rampant misogyny, their tendency to make America look mentally challenged, ridiculous stunts, cheesy supervillains, and women with names like Dirty Panties running around trying to avoid having to sleep with Bond and then get murdered. Daniel Craig, the sexiest Bond since Sean Connery, is signed up for Bond 22, aka "The Quantum of Solace". This one promises to have more action sequences and special effects than the last one, which was more character-driven than previous jokey Bonds. He stars with two unknown chicks, Gemma Atherton and Olga Kurylenko. Hopefully these two were hired at a low pay scale so they could afford the money Craig probably demanded to do another slow walk out of the water in really lowcut swim trunks like last time. That was a money shot the world over! More hot guys should be objectified like that! Why do the ladies get to have all the fun being treated as pieces of sexy meat?

It's one of the great ironies. Craig Newmark and his colleagues at Craigslist are left-wing idealists who still believe in the responsibility of the press to speak truth to power. All the while, their online classifieds site, which is largely free, has undermined the economics of newspapers, and the anti-establishment alt weeklies above all. The company's decision to endow a faculty chair in new media studies at the University of California, Berkeley is a sweet gesture. (As is the support of the endearingly naive Craigslist boss for online news ventures such as Daylife.) The dam has broken. Network bosses, fearful of the notoriously litigious Scientologists, stopped Craig Ferguson running the secret video featuring the sect's new messiah, Tom Cruise. But the Late Late Show host went ahead, in a fashion.
Daniel Craig looks pretty cheerful, considering the fact that I feel like he's dressed for a funeral. The British actor is on the set of "Bond 22" and I'm guessing it's one of the less action-packed scenes in the script because...well, it looks like nothing's happening. I like the guy whose job it is to very somberly brush the lint of Daniel's shoulders. Hmmm, someone call me when we have some beach scenes lined up. I want to see the guy whose job it is to keep sand off Daniel's speedo. And thank him.

French actor Mathieu Amalric has been reportedly confirmed as Daniel Craig’s nemesis in the next 007 (Bond 22) movie.
The actor is receiving rave reviews for his starring role as a paralyzed sufferer of locked-in syndrome in Julian Schnabel’s critically acclaimed new film, ‘The Diving Bell and the Butterfly’. Amalric, 42, refused to reveal details about his villainous character in the Casino Royale follow-up, although Bond girl Eva Green has hinted that Amalric will be her Casino Royale character’s boyfriend, which would make sense now that rumors are Green will not appear in the next film, though photos of her character will.
When asked if he will play the villain by Empire today, Amalric says, “I will, it’s true. I play the villain, yes. It has to do with childhood, you know? To be a villain in James Bond is just so funny. I never dreamt about that. It’s not what I want to do with my career. It’s just that I have kids and it’s so funny to do that.”
This news seems to indicate that the Denver Post was wrong in claiming Robert Knepper would be playing the next Bond villain. Unless, of course, there are multiple bad guys?
Shooting for the un-named Bond 22 begins in January 2008.
‘The Golden Compass’ is based on the first book in Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy, and stars Kidman as an evil villain to 13 year-old newcomer Dakota Blue Richards’ character, young heroine Lyra Belacqua. Daniel Craig plays Lyra’s uncle and guardian Lord Asriel. Eva Green is typecast as a witch who helps Lyra on her quest. If the film, released on December 5, is a success it will pave the way for adaptations of the other books in Pullman’s trilogy - The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass.

Daniel Craig told UK tabloid The Sun he may go nude for the next Bond film (tentatively titled Bond 22):
“I’d go totally nude. I’ve got nothing to hide, and after all, we ask the girls to reveal almost all, so why not the men?”
The hunky 29-year-old gave the ladies a hint of what’s to come when he emerged from the sea in tight blue swimming trunks in Casino Royale. But the fuss the infamous scene caused made him nervous.
“Did I know the trunk thing would be such a big deal? Yeah. I saw it on a huge billboard in Hollywood and people were screaming. It did make me feel rather nervous.” (Source)
Obviously this is great news. The more buff actors that go nude means the more body double work for your’s truly. And I know my biceps are bigger than Craig’s but that can be taken care of in post-production. Same with my penis–probably have to digitally edit that to make it more average. 8″ is average, right?
Daniel Craig, the much stronger / uncouth James Bond, has admitted that he would go “totally nude” for the next Bond Film. According to Female First, Daniel said,
“I’d go totally nude. I’ve got nothing to hide, and after all, we ask the girls to reveal almost all, so why not the men?”
I may not be a James Bond marketing genius but I’m pretty sure the main audience is men and they don’t want to see Daniel Craig naked. Half-naked on a naked Bond girl… maybe, but definitely not a nude shower scene involving Daniel Craig, a bar of soap, and a big dude with a log swinging in the background. It just isn’t right.

The Joy Division bio-pic "Control" was the evening's big winner, securing trophies for Best Film and Best Director. 007 Daniel Craig was awarded the Variety Award for "putting British film under the international spotlight". Translation - being British and looking extremely shaggable while walking out of the water glistening in a tiny swimsuit in "Casino Royale". It should be written on the trophy.

In the film, Nicole Kidman plays the role of villainess, Mrs. Coulter (no, the other one--just as evil, albeit unmarried) and Daniel Craig takes on the character of adventurer, Lord Asriel. Daniel Craig talked briefly about the fantastic look of the film: "It's a bit of escapism... and the special effects have come such a long way that it's now possible to go to places that you wouldn't have been able to even five years ago." You can't really tell from these pictures, just because it's from the neck up, but Daniel Craig has a rockin' bod. I know, because I've seen "Casino Royale." Right now, he's in the midst of promoting his film, "The Golden Compass," but is also doing work to prepare for "Bond 22." And according to Craig, this time around, he plans on being more agile, instead of just beefing up. His training will consist of more cardio like running and boxing, not just lifting weights. "I won't look physically much different, but I won't be as 'no neck' as I was last time," he tells People. I didn't notice that his neck had disappeared--maybe that's because I was staring so intently at that little swimsuit he was wearing. He could have been wearing a kabuki mask and I wouldn't have blinked an eye.

Can I just run the pic of him coming out of the ocean in the blue shorts in "Casino Royale"? This is...disconcerting. The combination of the huge shades, and the gaunt face and the white fuzz makes him look like whatever it was toddling off the mothership in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". This isn't Daniel Craig's angle. But what does he care?
