Is Dennis Rodman still considered a Bad Boy? We haven’t heard much from him lately, especially since his time in the NBA ended. Ah, remember the med-90’s, when the Bulls were unbeatable, and you tuned in every week just to see what Dennis’s new hair was going to be? We saw a more relaxed Dennis leaving his hotel to hit up “strip joints” late last night in New York City, New York. When approached by a fan who asked about the rumors surrounding Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s divorce, Dennis said that divorce would be cool. As he was leaving he made a point of telling his entourage that he planned on bringing back a ton of women. Yikes, hopefully his hotel leaves condoms on the pillow with turn down service.

Last week, Meg Ryan broke her eight year silence and opened up to In Style about her marriage to Dennis Quaid. The actress told the magazine, "Dennis was not faithful to me for a very long time," and added that his infidelity was "very painful."
So what does Dennis have to say about it? The actor told Rush and Molloy of NY Daily News, "It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship." Dennis added, "Also, I find it regrettable that our son, Jack, has to be reminded in a public way of the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce."
Hmmm...it doesn't sound like Dennis is denying the allegations that he cheated on Meg, so as far as we're concerned, it's fine for Meg to bring it up!
Jerk.

Meg Ryan’s ex husband is pissed that she dug up all the old dirt surrounding their eight year old divorce in order to promote her new film. Ryan claimed that Dennis Quaid “was not faithful to me for a very long time,” but that she “found out more about that after I was divorced.” Ryan’s divorce from Quaid was often blamed in the press on her relationship with her Proof of Life co-star Russell Crowe, although as many of you pointed out there were rumors of Quaid cheating on Ryan for some time.
Now Quaid is saying that he’s amazed Ryan is still talking about all that and that he finds it hurtful to their son Jack, 16. Quaid says he’s moved on from their divorce and suggests that Ryan is still focusing on the past. He doesn’t exactly deny Ryan’s claims in his statement about it and just harps on the fact that she shouldn’t have said it:
Now Quaid is returning fire.
“It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship,” the actor tells us exclusively. “Also, I find it regrettable that our son, Jack, has to be reminded in a public way of the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce.”
Quaid, who went on to marry real estate agent Kimberly Buffington and have twins last November, adds: “I, myself, moved on years ago and am fortunate to have a happy, beautiful family.”
Meg’s discussion of their marriage has prompted others to fill in some gaps. One source tells us that, under their divorce pact, Quaid’s custody and visitation rights hinged on his sobriety. “Meg came to believe he was drinking again and wanted full physical custody of Jack,” says the source.
Quaid maintains: “Meg and I have always had joint custody of Jack without any stipulations whatsoever.”
[From The NY Daily News]
The News goes on to say that they have sources that state that Meg Ryan’s much talked about trout pout is the result of removing fat from her butt and having it injected into her lips. They also add the detail that Ryan cut her agent’s percentage on her 1999 film On The Ropes from 10% to just 5% of anything she made over $2 million. Do you think Quaid gave those other details to the Daily News in order to make sure he made his ex wife look bad? Both stories are about things that happened before the divorce.

Meg Ryan’s adulterous relationship with co-star Russell Crowe was big news back in 2000. She broke up with her then-husband Dennis Quaid after nine years of marriage and it was widely believed at the time that her relationship with Crowe hastened the end of her marriage. Ryan has put rest those rumors, saying that it was her husband who was unfaithful first and that he cheated on her for years before she found solace in the buff arms of her Aussie co-star. She also admitted that she ended the relationship with Crowe, as was rumored at the time, because she couldn’t handle another serious relationship. Ryan doesn’t care that she was called a cheater, though, because she says she was finally “free” and she found it “liberating.”
In 2000, Ryan, now 46, famously had a fling with her Proof of Life co-star Russell Crowe; the affair ended her marriage to Quaid (with whom she has a son, Jack, 16).
But she tells the new issue of InStyle (excerpted by Entertainment Tonight), “Dennis was not faithful to me for a very long time, and that was very painful.
“I found out more about that after I was divorced,” she adds.
Of Crowe, she says: “I think he took a big hit. But Russell didn’t break up the marriage. He was definitely there at the end, but it wasn’t his fault. I was a mess. I hurt him too at the end. I couldn’t be in another long relationship, it wasn’t the time for that. So I got out.”
She continues, “My time as a scarlet woman was really interesting. As painful as it was, it was also incredible liberating. Now I was utterly free. I didn’t have to care about what people thought.”
She also says being dubbed “America’s Sweetheart” was stifling at the time.
“It’s an old-fashioned idea, so anachronistic. I understood it was a compliment about being lovable, and it felt nice … but it also felt, after a time, like ideas were being projected onto me that had nothing to do with me,” she says.
“The girl next door to what?” she continues. “I never felt like a very conventional person.”
[From US Weekly]
The way Ryan words this is odd. She says Quaid cheated on her, but she kind of implies she didn’t really know about it until after the divorce. Maybe that’s why she kept quiet about it for so long. She deserves some credit for keeping her silence about it. She got branded a cheater, but her husband was doing the same thing to her and she didn’t tell the press until eight years later.
Ryan’s film The Women is number 7 at the US box office after two weeks and has taken in $20 million. It’s not a very strong showing for the film, and it’s also received very bad reviews, with an only 10% aggregate critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s as good a time to bring up a cheating ex husband as any.

The acting legend that is Dennis Hopper was looking great yesterday in these EXCLUSIVE fotos taken at LAX. He was looking distinguished, wearing a button-down shirt and jacket as well as his glasses. We totally dig the beard, Dennis. Dennis was carrying his notes for the newest episode of the Crash television series, which features Mr. Hopper as “Ben”, one of the main characters. Being a photographer himself, Dennis is always amused by the paparazzi, and he gave us a friendly one-finger salute. No problem, Dennis, we’ll take it from you and happily smile about it.

Guess how many photo agencies were in the City Council Cambers this morning to witness first hand the Los Angeles Regional Paparazzi Task Force? Just one! Buzz Foto. That was not surprising!
It was interesting to hear how eloquently John Mayer spoke and what a cry baby Ventimiglia turned out to be. John made a comment that “it takes a lot to get a rock star out of bed early in the morning” and we thank him for his insight on this issue.
We agree that the industry has gone a bit nuts all driven by this California Gold Rush mentality. Well, the pot of gold is not there anymore. Just too many photographs on the market and there are very few hot and controversial stories out there these days.
We welcome the dialogue and are certainly concerned with the safety of our community. Let’s see what happens and hope for the best. We love our industry and we refuse to let a few bad apples spoil it for everyone.

On 30th April Dennis Rodman was arrested for domestic violence, which his manager brushed off, saying it was just some bruises, and it was brought on by drinking to relieve stress from a bad divorce and not seeing his kids for two months.
He said that Rodman would be entering a rehab facility on his return to Florida, and he has.
Dennis Rodman has checked into a rehab facility in Florida, his manager has confirmed. The news follows Rodman’s arrest on Thursday on suspicion of felony domestic battery.
Cops believe he attacked his girlfriend during a drunken fight at a Los Angeles hotel the day before. He was released on $50,000 bail before heading to Miami, where he was spotted with friends over the weekend.
On Monday morning he entered an outpatient rehab center in Fort Lauderdale, his representative Darren Prince has confirmed to TMZ.com.
I’m glad he’s getting himself into a rehab and sorted out – before he inflicts more than bruises on his girlfriend. Hopefully this trip to rehab is for real and not just to lesson his sentence, which is seems to be for a lot of criminals. I know that any kind of addictive behavior is hard to shake, think of caffeine, cigarettes, and watching reality television for those of you not into more illicit substances. It often takes more than just one trip to rehab to change your ways, but sometimes it seems that criminals – not just celebrity offenders – use it as a way to get lesser prison sentences before going back to their previous behavior.
No time frame for Dennis’ stay in rehab was given.

Eventually every celebrity is required to go to rehab. Even tired old G’s from back in the day that no one really cares about anymore.
TMZ has learned Dennis Rodman entered an outpatient rehab facility this morning — just days after he was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery.Rodman was spotted with friends in Miami this weekend — and Dennis’ manager, Darren Prince, confirmed Rodman met with his counselor today at a Ft. Lauderdale facility.
This one's always in trouble, and he's always looking grotesque doing it. Dennis Rodman is involved in another legal issue. This time he allegedly struck a woman at an LA hotel. Maybe she was in the way of the drugs and he had to move her fast! Rodman was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence last Wednesday evening. He's since made bail and has made the lightning fast jump to rehab. Seriously that's the formula these days. Celebrity fuckup with legal ramifications > rehab > public apology > repeat.
Rodman had a 14 year basketball career, in which he played for five championship teams. Nowadays, he just....pierces things? And cues up on women? Maybe gets a tat? I think there's some cross-dressing in there as well. He should start a foundation for children or something.

This sure hasn’t been a great week in terms of domestic violence awareness. First Vanilla Ice was let off the hook after his arrest for hitting and kicking his wife last month. Unfortunately his wife refused to press charges. Now former NBA bad boy Dennis Rodman has been arrested as well. According to his lawyer, it can all be blamed on a drinking problem and a bad divorce. He does a pretty bad job trying to make Rodman look like the victim.
Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was arrested last night on suspicion of felony domestic battery. He was arrested at 11:00 PM at a Century City hotel and was released early this morning. Law enforcement tells us they charge suspects with a felony if there is evidence of injury, such as bruising or blood. Rodman was released on $50,000 bail today at 4:16 AM.
UPDATE: Rodman’s manager Darren Prince tells TMZ, “Last night Dennis and his girlfriend had too much to drink. When they returned to their hotel they started arguing and a minor altercation broke out where Dennis grabbed her by the arm and left a bruise.” Hotel security got involved and called LAPD, who responded and made the arrest. We’re told Dennis plans to enter a rehab facility immediately upon returning to Florida because — according to Prince — “his drinking has been escalating in the last six weeks due to a nasty divorce and not seeing his children in over two months.”
[From TMZ]
A bruise can still indicate some pretty rough, scary force, depending on the kind of bruise. Darren Prince makes it sound like it’s no big deal, and just a technicality. But when you hear about someone being beaten “black and blue,” it’s black and blue with bruises. Obviously that’s not what happened here as it sounds like Rodman’s girlfriend likely just had the one bruise on her arm. But my point is that you can get roughed up pretty badly and have bruises to show for it – lack of broken bones doesn’t mean what went on was some petty little domestic squabble.
Hopefully Rodman will get his ass into rehab – and it’d be great if the prosecutor on his case takes it more seriously than Vanilla Ice’s did.

Here's Dennis Quaid post-baby OD scare. Some dumbass fed his twin newborns 1000 times the proper dose of a blood thinner called Heparin last year and almost killed them. He's thanking all the
medical healthcare journalists for their articles that helped him during the crisis.
"I do have a greater appreciation of life in general," said Quaid. He spoke at the Association of Health Care Journalists's annual conference in Washington, D.C. yesterday.
"If they hadn't made it, it really would have changed my life. But they did survive. So it changed my attitude." he said.
Quaid, 53, and his wife Kimberly, 36, have filed a lawsuit against Heparin manufacturer Baxter Healthcare Corp. They are accusing the company of negligence due to their packaging adult and pediatric doses in similar-looking vials. State regulators fined Cedars-Sinai hospital $25,000 for the mistake.
Doesn't he have a kid with Meg Ryan? Where's he?

When Dennis FitzSimons left the Tribune Co. in December, he got a $41 million payout. Awesome for him, offensive for everyone else. And as a joke on fate's cruelty to work-a-day journalists, the Hartford Courant handed out t-shirts that said "My CEO walked off with $41 million and all I got was this lousy T-shirt!" Nothing says motivation like a shirt to wear to the gym. [Romenesko]
Dennis Quaid spoke out about how a mistaken overdose of medication almost killed his twin newborns this past November. This is a friggin' scary story. My total respect goes out to the doctors and nurses who save our lives and care for us everyday. But mistakes happen. I remember when the health columnist for The Boston Globe (I used to be an intern there) got an overdose of chemo some years ago and it killed her. Uh, ouch? There's no need to be battling cancer and have the chemo kill ya! That's rough! Can people stop for a second and read the directions?
Quaid's babies Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace Quaid were hospitalized due to a suspected infection, and then mistakenly given an overdose of Heparin, which is a blood thinner normally given to adults.
"Our kids are bleeding from everyplace that they've punctured," says Quaid. "They were working on Boone, whose belly button would not stop bleeding - blood squirted across the room. It was blood everywhere. It was a life-and-death situation," Quaid describes in an interview that will air on 60 Minutes this Sunday. Holy shite! Children should not be shooting blood out of their navels. Hell, even Paris Hilton shouldn't be shooting blood out of her navel and that bitch sucks!
Quaid and his wife Kimberly are suing Baxter International, the drug manufacturer. And Dennis plans to start a foundation to fund the battle to weed out medical mistakes in hospitals. I don't see that happening anytime soon, but good luck. And nice cap, by the way.

Dennis Quaid is enjoying a nice, non-newsworthy day out at a local restaurant in Los Angeles with his 3-month-old son, Thomas Boone. After the scare he and his wife received when both Boone and his twin sister Zoe were overdosed with heparin, they seem to be recovering nicely.
Additionally, Quaid's career is doing very well at the moment, with the actor's film, "Vantage Point," having a strong showing at the box office and him gearing up for production on "G.I. Joe." It's nice to be a Quaid at the moment--well, this one at least.

Next up for Dennis? The actor will portray General Hawk in "G.I. Joe." First we had the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and then Transformers. Which 80s- early 90s toy will become a movie next? Just to put it out there, I could totally play a great live-action Rainbow Brite.

Dennis Quaid has come out swinging, heavily criticizing the hospital that treated his newborn twins and gave them an incorrect dose of heparin. Heparin is a blood thinner, that was supplied to the hospital by manufacturer’s Baxter Healthcare Corp. Quaid is currently suing the makers of the drug for having all the different sized doses of heparin, for adults and children, packaged in similar containers. The similar containers confused staff at the Cedars Sinai Medical Centre, who then gave the wrong dose to the babies.
Thomas and Zoe were hospitalized a few days after birth because of an infection around their navels, where they were then given intravenous antibiotics to fight the infection. Blood thinners were also given to prevent clots blocking the IV line.
On November 18 two doses of heparin were given to the babies over the course of the day, while both parents were with them. They went home to rest, and called the hospital at 9pm to check with the nurses. The Quaids say they were told the babies were fine, but in fact they weren’t. They had been given an adult dosage of heparin and were beginning to ooze blood.
The Quaids were not told of the crisis until 6:30am the next morning, when they were met at the door by the hospitals risk management assessor, a nurse and a pediatrician.
Dennis on the hospital not telling them of the crisis until the next day:
“Our kids could have been dying, and we wouldn’t have been able to come down to the hospital to say goodbye,”On the twins hospitalization:
“They were in incubators with cords attached to them and monitors, and you could barely hold them,” said Kimberly Quaid, 36. “Every time you’d move them, the alarms would sound. . . . The stress was overwhelming.”“When you go into a hospital, you become like a child, like an infant in a way,” Dennis Quaid said. “The names of the drugs, we can’t even pronounce. . . . We put complete trust, and we are so vulnerable like a child, innocent and vulnerable in a hospital situation.”
On the twins recovery:
“We have our babies back, and they seem to be doing great, and they’re just a lot of fun to be with,” Dennis Quaid said.
“We really do feel that prayer saved them,” he later said. The Quaids say that someone at the hospital leaked to the media that Thomas and Zoe were being treated, and the media presence caused additional stress. A hospital spokesperson responded:
Cedars-Sinai spokesman Richard Elbaum declined to comment on most of the allegations made by the Quaids. “Throughout the course of their children’s hospitalization and continuing today, we have reached out to the Quaids to discuss any concerns or questions they have,” he said. “We would like to continue to discuss all of these and any other concerns directly with the Quaids to identify and resolve any questions.”
Elbaum did say the hospital is investigating whether there was a violation of the twins’ privacy rights by leaks to the media. “We take very seriously any allegations of breaches of patient confidentiality and investigate these in a comprehensive manner,” he said.
I can’t imagine anything more distressing than having your new babies taken to hospital, particularly when they had been so hard to produce. Due to Kimberly’s history of miscarriages the Quaids had their babies using a surrogate.
State regulators have found that the mistake occurred after technicians delivered the wrong dose of medication to the pediatric unit. Nurses say they are unsure of whether they read the labels on the vials of heparin. Another child was also overdosed, and made a full recovery.
I’m so happy to hear the babies have made a full recovery. They’re still being monitored for liver and kidney damage but it’s a good sign that none has shown up yet. I hope they’re safe and well.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly, are speaking out about the medical scare their newborn twins suffered at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where the infants were improperly dosed with the anti-coagulant drug, Heparin. Initially being treated for a staph infection, the children were accidentally given 1000 times more than the actual dose for the drug and their parents reportedly weren't notified of the mishap until treatment options had already been decided on by Cedars staff.
The couple's frustrations over the handling of their children's treatment has them considering whether or not they plan on suing the hospital. Susan E. Loggans, lawyer for the Quaid couple, has said that the hospital's response will determine whether or not her clients will take legal action. According to the Quaids, the biggest betrayal occurred when they were not informed in a timely manner and the news of the mishap was leaked to the media. Dennis said, "Our kids could have been dying, and we wouldn't have been able to come down to the hospital to say goodbye."

After his recent medical scare with his twin babies, Dennis Quaid is probably thankful for the distraction of Christmas shopping with his wife, Kimberly Buffington. Their two babies appear to be recovering quite well, after their overdose with the anti-coagulant, Heparin. The couple look light-hearted as they get some shopping done in Santa Monica, enjoying some Starbucks along the way. Ain't nothing like an egg nog latte to help you forget your troubles--at least that's my philosophy on life. The bags full of purchases wouldn't hurt either. And this is random, but I just noticed that Kimberly looks like a better-looking Rachel Zoe. Or maybe not. Just throwing it out there.

We all remember the almost-tragic mix-up that landed Dennis Quaid’s newborn twins in the emergency room. Well, now the actor and his wife are suing the maker of the drug that was involved in the fiasco.
Yesterday, Quaid riled a lawsuit against Baxter Healthcare Corporation, the maker of the blood-thinning drug Heparin. But Baxter says the blame is being misplaced.
People Magazine recently spoke to Susan Loggans, Dennis Quaid and Kimberly Buffington's lawyer - and she's got great news to report! Loggans has confirmed that the couple's infant children are finally well again. "The twins are back home," Loggans said, "They've fully recovered." Thank goodness! (Don't count on that being the end of the story, though - Dennis and Kim are still taking the manufacturers of Heparin, the drug overprescribed to their twins, to court!)
The People article also quotes Loggans as describing the Quaids as "very religious, and they believe their children's recovery is a real miracle". Sounds like their prayers on behalf of their children have been answered!
Dennis Quaid’s twins have fully recovered and are finally home with their parents once again.
Dennis and Kimberly’s attorney, Susan E. Loggans told People magazine, “The twins are back home. Their condition is fantastic, they’re smiling. Zoe looks like her mom, and Boone looks like his dad. They’ve fully recovered from the accident and it’s doubtful they’ll suffer long-term effects from the overdose.”
The babies were hospitalized at 12 days old on Nov. 20 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in LA after accidentally being given 1,000 times the recommended dose of Heparin on Nov. 18.
“The Quaids are very religious, and they believe their children’s recovery is a real miracle,” Loggans added.

Dennis Quaid sues over twins overdose (DL)

In reaction to having their twin babies overdosed with an anti-coagulant drug at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Dennis Quaid and his wife, Kimberly Buffington, are suing the company that manufactures the drug. The suit against Baxter Healthcare Corp. is alleging that the packaging for Heparin appears to be practically identical for both the 10-unit version and the 10,000-unit version of the drug and this is the basis for the confusion that lead to about a dozen patients being overdosed with the drug at Cedars-Sinai. Although the babies' health was, according to Quaid's lawyer, "very critical for a while, "at the moment, "everything looks good." Hmm, how I wish mislabeled packaging were to blame for this, as much as I doubt it.

No doubt there's a lot of stress for the Quaid family right now BUT, and I'm not just saying this as someone on the side of the paps, I think the best way for Dennis and his wife Kimberly to be on the attack against the negligence of the staff at Cedars Sinai, is to allow the media to cover this story to the fullest extent.
It is because of magazines like Us Weekly, People, In Touch, and others (our clients), that this story has received the wide coverage it has and because of these publications' reporting, that mainstream news outlets picked up on the horrifying reports that Quaid's newborn twins were given an accidental overdose of the drug Heparin through a mix-up at the world-renowned hospital.
We feel your pain, Dennis and we wish you and Kimberly and the babies health and happiness. We also hope this doesn't happen to some other innocent children and that the hospital is held accountable.
