Dog the Bounty Hunter made his first post n-bomb appearance on Fox News' "Hannity & Colmes". This is what we call the Sad Sack I Didn't Mean It That Way tour. And it's all such bullshit. Though he does put a new entry in the Revealed Racist's Ridiculous Excuse Handbook. He claims he considered himself to be black. Heh.
In his first TV appearance since his hit A&E show was shelved following the leak of an eight-month-old phone conversation with his son in which he liberally uses the N-word, Duane "Dog" Chapman tells Fox News that he has always felt a certain kinship with black people and, as for using the N-word, "never did it out of hate.""There's a special connection that I thought I had between me and black America," the emotional Dog the Bounty Hunter star told Fox's Hannity & Colmes. "And I used to say, 'I'm black, too.'
"In other words, my whole life I've been called a half-breed, a convict, king of the trailer trash, this and that...so when I stood there and said, 'I kind of know what you feel like, because I've been there, too,' that I felt that I could embrace and like, as brothers...say the word."

Dog the Bounty Hunter racism scandal
Believe it or not, Dog the Bounty Hunter is not the bastion of racial tolerance his outward appearance may suggest. The National Enquirer obtained an audio tape (Listen Here NSFW language) of Dog unleashing a racist tirade against his son’s African American girlfriend Monique. Ironically Dog was worried about Monique “turning him into the Enquirer magazine” over his use of racist language. Dog even goes as far as threatening to fire his son unless he breaks up with her.
Predictably, A&E had Dog on a short leash:
“A&E has just learned of the story released by the National Enquirer concerning Duane Dog Chapman. We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action.”
When asked to comment on the situation, Michael Richards, Don Imus, and the American History X version of Edward Norton all replied, “Holy shit that guy’s racist.”
My prediction is this whole thing should blow over in a few hours. Of course I also predicted Cuba would beat us to the moon in 1969 so take that for what it’s worth.
UPDATE: Bumped for the morning crew
I can't believe someone who looks so sophisticated is a dumb bigot. Duane Chapman, aka "Dog The Bounty Hunter", won't be fronting the NAACP anytime soon. He's been caught on tape dropping the N-bomb. Repeatedly. So much so that Michael Richards is standing beside Al Sharpton and demanding an apology. Refusing to confirm your pregnancy and racist meltdowns were the celebrity trends of 2007!
In a shocking world exclusive The ENQUIRER has obtained tapes of two revolting phone conversations in which Duane "Dog" Chapman unleashes a filthy bigoted attack, littered with the N-word and other disgusting racial insults. The star of the A&E reality show "Dog, The Bounty Hunter" directed his racist hatred at his son Tucker's girlfriend Monique Shinnery, who is black.
n response to this story, A&E network has released a statement saying: "A&E has just learned of the story released by the National Enquirer concerning Duane Dog Chapman. We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action."

Duane Dog Chapman has screwed up again, this time resulting in A&E suspending his tv show. The National Enquirer broke this story Wednesday with a recording of phone conversation between Dog and his son Tucker. Apparently, Big Dog Daddy don’t want an African American daughter-in-law. Dog’s racial slurs were so bad that he has had to call the Rev. Al Sharpton and beg him to accept his apology. (Because it would make it all ok if the Rev says its ok. )
A&E’s statement:
“We take this matter very seriously. Pending an investigation, we have suspended production on the series. When the inquiry is concluded we will take appropriate action.”
Chapmans apology:
“My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation. It was completely taken out of context. I was disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term. I have the utmost respect and aloha for black people – who have already suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred. I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world. I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused.
“In Hawaii, we have something called Ho’oponopono, where people come together to resolve crises and restore peace and balance. I am meeting with my spiritual advisor, Rev. Tim Storey, and hope to meet with other black leaders so they can see who I really am and teach me the right thing to do to make things right, again.
“I know that all of my fans are deeply disappointed in me, as well, as I have tried to be a model for doing the right thing. I did not do the right thing this time, and hope you will forgive me. We learn from our mistakes, as my story of overcoming a life of crime has proven, and I will learn from this one for the rest of my life.”
