The stars are out on the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, as the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards are almost underway.
Among those in the crowd were “Desperate Housewives” actresses Teri Hatcher and Nicollette Sheridan, along with “The Office” actress Jenna Fischer and the night’s hosts, among others.

Did I mention her daughter is ten? Because her daughter is ten. Teri gives the motherly advice in her column in October’s Glamour magazine (UK):

In the last page of a painful chapter in her life, Teri Hatcher’s uncle- the one she put behind bars for molestation- has died at 70 years old.
Six years into his 14-year sentence at Chuckawalla Valley State Prison in Blythe, California, Richard Hayes Stone succumbed to colon cancer this past Tuesday, August 19th.

Teri helped put the scumbag away after she found out about the suicide of California teenager Sarah Van Cleemput. The girl shot herself in the head and left behind a note that said, “You’re probably thinking a normal teenager doesn’t do this; well, ask Dick!”
After Teri found out that “Dick” was her dick, she contacted authorities and let them know that she was abused by him as child as well. The dick ended up pleading guilty.

Hatcher helped put Stone behind bars after she heard of the suicide of Northern California teenager Sarah Van Cleemput. The teen shot herself in the head leaving behind a note that said: "You're probably thinking a normal teenager doesn't do this; well, ask Dick!"
Turns out Dick was Richard Stone.
Hatcher contacted authorities and in a secret interview with prosecutors revealed she was molested as a child by Dick as well.
Stone thereafter pleaded guilty.

Prepare yourself. Teri Hatcher has been a prime target lately, but we've hit a roadblock in our coverage. For two reasons. #1 would be the fact that she doesn't look half-bad in this photo. Normally, her Botox- casualty appearance make her look like natives shrunk her face in some sort of jungle ritual. But here she looks well...pretty. And #2 would be that these are pictures of her engaged in charity work. Sure, she probably posed for a second and then left and went shopping. But still, at least there's evidence. Here she is filling backpacks with food for kids in need at Netflix and America's Second Harvest holiday event. It was held at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Can someone send me one of those? Christmas is an expensive season and I'm almost broke as a joke! I could use a pink plastic Dora the Explorer special with hearts on the straps and chock full of cookies! No, I didn't just try to divert food for hungry children to myself. Move along. There's nothing to see here.

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher has been super busy since her show stopped filming - going on vacation, pumping gas... and now walking her dogs! Those are two fine-lookin' pooches, don't ya think? Teri sure knows how to pick her pups! Now if only she could find a man, and by "man," we don't mean Ryan Seacrest.

I'm going to refrain from mentioning Botox in this post, merely because its a mom and her daughter out on a birthday luncheon. Teri Hatcher took her daughter Emerson Rose over to say hi to her dad, Teri's ex Jon Tenney. He's on "The Closer" on TNT. Then Teri celebrated her birthday by photographing the paps for any possible future lawsuit evidence. Teri and Emerson then hit The Blue Plate for some munchies, and Teri received flowers. And then they went and painted pottery. That's a nice birthday. I don't know if I'd want to see my ex-husband on that day, but what the hell. It is KILLING me now not to talk about what her actual age must be and Botox. It's all white knuckles and the shakes here on J. Harvey's laptop. Don't ever say I'm not charitable at Christmas time. Now get me that huge HD Samsung TV for all the good I do!

Out for a stroll with her 10-year-old daughter Emerson Rose, Teri Hatcher looked pretty darn positive yesterday. Maybe it’s because she got some good news about the impending lawsuit filed against her.
As an update to our story on Hydroderm’s $2.4 million lawsuit against the “Desperate Housewives” actress, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Helen Bendix has denied the skincare company’s motion to proceed with discovery.
When it comes time to sign endorsement contracts, celebrities have to be ultra-careful they don’t violate the terms of the deal. And Teri Hatcher may have overlooked a few items in her agreement with Hydroderm, an oversight that may land her in court.
Back in 2005, the Desperate Housewives actress signed an “exclusive endorsement deal” with Hydroderm. And when she started plugging City Cosmetics, as well as other products, Hydroderm called “foul.”
"Desperate Housewives" artifact Teri Hatcher is being sued by the Hydroderm skincare company for breach of contract to the tune of 2.4 million and then some. The company says that Teri took 2.4 million from them to endorse their products, but then went off and endorsed "at least 17" other skincare lines. They're calling her behavior "willful, oppressive, fraudulent and malicious." She oppressed a skincare company? The best part of court papers filed yesterday state that Teri endorses so many skincare lines that "it is anyone's guess as to what product keeps her skin and lips youthful." Son, that product would be called Botox. VATS of it. Teri hasn't been able to actually open her lips to speak for about three years now. They have to dub in her dialogue on "Desperate Housewives". The contents of her face could could take out the rats in several tenement buildings. Her face can repel bullets like Wonder Woman's bracelets. Water BEADS ON HER FACE.

Kiss the money goodbye, Teri!
Access Hollywood is reporting that Teri Hatcher is being sued by Hydroderm, a cosmetics company, for breach of contract.
The company filed the lawsuit Tuesday in LA Superior Court.
Hatcher had an exclusive endorsement deal with Hydroderm that came about in 2005.
The lawsuit contends that the two parties had an agreement that Hatcher wouldn’t use any products that were in direct competition with theirs. Specifically, that she could not use “her name, voice, autograph, image or likeness to, among other things, promote, endorse, market or adverstise skin care products manufactured or marketed by Hydroderm’s competitors.”
Hydroderm is claiming that Hatcher broke this agreement by endorsing a lip-plumping gloss made by City Cosmetics, thus causing the conflict of interest.

Last night, the stars of Hollywood showed off their Halloween spirit at the Annual Dream Halloween event to benefit the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation.
Did anyone notice on the Emmys when they anounced Best Actress in a Comedy, how happy Teri Hatcher was when her co-star, Felicity Huffman, didn't win? Or am I just imagining that?
Teri looks like she had herself a good old time at the Emmy after-party. Maybe even a little too good a time!
But that clearly can't be the case, seeing as how the woman hasn't eaten anything since 1997. But it looks like her wasting away to nearly nothing has paid off, seeing as how she's landed herself a modeling gig. The shots were taken last month for an advertising campaign for Bagdley Mischka featuring the "Desperate Housewives" actress. Felicity Huffman showed up to lend her support to her co-star and friend on the red-carpet, as she celebrated her modeling venture. In addition, Teri's working on a pilot for a TV show inspired by her book, "Burnt Toast," as well as a second book and a reality TV show to boot. Dang, no wonder she's a beanpole--she's barely got time to eat. But, despite my tone throughout this post, I swear, I don't only sit around drinking gallons of Haterade. Sometimes, I like to take a break and eat some sour grapes.
