Accompanied by her father, Jamie Spears, the “Gimme More” singer carried young Jayden James in her ams as she tried to stay hidden behind her dad, who toted along Sean Preston.
If you were a performer that was generally considered so atrocious that an interviewer actually asked if you’d be willing to stop singing for the right amount… you’d think a person could take that as a hint. James Blunt seems to have possibly gotten the point, but says people will really have to pay up if they want him to shut his whiney mouth. The horse faced singer, known for atrocious tunes and romancing the ladies, gave a recent interview to Uncut magazine, where he said he’s not so stupid (or so proud, apparently) to say no to a decent offer.
HERE’S the news a lot of people have been waiting for… James Blunt has promised to quit singing if we stump up enough cash.
Despite his success, Blunt has been dogged by criticisms of his cheesy tunes and his “posh” military background.
And now he has finally been worn down by the opposition to his brand of melodic pop.
He told Uncut magazine: “If someone is prepared to pay me enough, I’ll stop.”
“There’s a good deal of inverse snobbery about all this. My background ought to be irrelevant. It’s bizarre that I should attract all this aggression. Any judgment made on that level is a form of prejudice. But, I’m travelling around the world and no one else seems aware of my very stupid speaking voice, which is all it is.”

The article is built around the premise that people are annoyed by Blunt because of his military service and how often he talks about it. While I suppose that could play a part in it, I think they’re really annoyed by Blunt’s music. And his face. There’s just something about that whine that makes me one to commit acts of violence I will keep to myself. But I think pinning it on military service is a convenient way to say “it’s not about me or my ‘talent,’ it’s about people’s issues with the military.” Um, no, you just suck.
Luckily the good people over at The Sun are trying to raise the necessary funds as we speak. I hope they open it up to the public - I will be making a record donation.

Thanks to Page Six, everyone thinks James Franco is a gay rapist. Page Six ran a blind item in August that practically accused Jimmy of the violent crime. Well..maybe not….but who else are we to believe is the summer blockbuster rapist? Will Smith? Not likely.
“Which hunk in a summer movie is a violent, closeted homosexual? The heartthrob snuck into his ex’s apartment a few months ago and raped him so violently, the ex ended up in the hospital - and the actor paid him $500,000 to keep his mouth shut.”
Flash forward 6 weeks and Jimmy Jam is on the cover of Out magazine and from the blurps we’ve read of the interview, coming across as most definitely not a gay rapist. In fact, not gay at all. What do you kids think? Maybe the blind item was actually about Iron Man? Yeah, I could totally see that.
Is James Franco gay or what? You'll remember there was that ominous rumor that he once raped his gay lover that was sort of intense and icky. We're told that the original tip that prompted the Page Six blind item, about an actor who broke into his ex-boyfriend's house an sexually assaulted him, mentioned Franco specifically. We received several other anonymous (and admittedly questionable) emails saying the same thing, one providing explicit details. So who the heck knows, but for whatever reason the rumor had traction. Which makes us queasy. But now the actor is on the cover of Out magazine this month, acting calm, collected, and confident in his heterosexuality, so we're all confused again.
In the interview, he discusses his new film Milk, a biopic about 1970's gay rights activist Harvey Milk (played by Sean Penn). Franco plays Milk's longtime partner Scott Smith, and, if his interview with Out is any indication, he's just a straight guy who is surprisingly relaxed about his sexuality. There's none of the caginess of a closeted man, and none of the "it was fine. It was just work" rigidness of a straight actor desperately trying to feel comfortable about kissing a dude. Instead, he's just frank (heh) and honest, expressing an interest in (or at least a knowledge of) "queer cinema." He'll also be playing gay poet Allen Ginsberg in the upcoming movie Howl. All of which makes us like him!
I mean, other than this queasy-making gay rapist rumor, Franco otherwise comes across as refreshingly "enlightened"—a dashing, talented young man with an active interest in furthering his education and a sober, respectably artistic approach to supposedly difficult issues of a hetero playing a homo. From the Out interview, with Milk screenwriter Lance Black:
James: At one point during rehearsals, the idea was thrown out that Sean and I would go to the apartment that we eventually shot in and spend a night or two there just to, like — I don’t know what — feel comfortable with each other? That idea was kind of thrown out but ended up not happening because of scheduling. I approached the relationship part as I would approach any relationship. When I’m working with another actor or actress that I’m supposed to have a relationship with, I’ll look for things in the person I like. My other hero on the film was Sean, so it wasn’t too hard to look up to him — or whatever that is.
Lance: You fell in love with Sean? Is that what you’re saying?
James: Basically, I’ve been in love with him since even before Fast Times.
So, I guess, the mystery deepens. Franco may be hiding some dark and closeted secrets. Or, you know, maybe there's no mystery at all and grim rumors are just grim rumors and Franco is just a straight actor possessed of a progressive and exploratory spirit and I'm kind of an ass for harping on this gay stuff, because why should straight actors feel chased away from gay roles, you know? (Plus, why does Out keep putting straight actors on their cover as if to dangle some tantalizing, forbidden fruit?) Anyway, here are more photos from the issue for you to ogle:

James Morrison is a 24 year-old British singer who was born James Morrison Catchpole but dropped his last name professionally to have the same moniker as the late lead singer of the Doors. You may know him from his successful single “You Give Me Something” from his 2006 debut album “Undiscovered,” which went on to critical and commercial success and sold over a million copies. Morrison recently talked about the first time he met Madonna in which he was perfectly civil to her but she treated him like a pariah. He called her “just rude” and added that “there’s no excuse for it.”
James Morrison has described Madonna as the rudest popstar he has ever met.
The singer-songwriter revealed how he was introduced to the pop icon while working on new material in Los Angeles.
He told Metro: “I’m not her biggest fan but thought I’d say hello so I went over and said, ‘Hello, I’m James, nice to meet you,’ and put my hand out to shake hands. She just looked at it and said, ‘And what do you do?’ I told her I was a singer and she just stared at me and didn’t say anything.
“It was really uncomfortable. Then she just ignored me. F**k her, though, it’s just a matter of common courtesy. It doesn’t matter what someone does for a living. She’s just rude. There’s no excuse for it.”

Maybe Madonna thought he was just a fan or something, but she shouldn’t even treat her fans that way. She’s so full of herself it’s incredible. If the guy was wearing a red bracelet and dropped some Kabbalah terms she’d probably warm right up and start in with the cult speak.
Madonna is said to have put on a rolicking good show in London last night. Her celebrity friends Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, and singer Fergie were in the audience looking visibly impressed. She can still bring it even if she’s so far up her own ass she’ll never need another colonic.
In related Madonna news her husband Guy Ritchie celebrated his 40th birthday out at his pub The Punchbowl on Wednesday night. Madonna came and went with the children at 10pm after about an hour, with Guy partying until 4:30 am. Guests including Sting’s wife Trudie Styler, David Gest and Jamie Hince, feasted on traditional British pies stuffed with fish, egg and chicken, and sang English songs.

With family and friends gathered for the big day, Gandolfini, 46, and Lin, 40, exchanged their vows during an intimate 20-minute ceremony at Central Union Church.

Sopranos boss James Gandolfini, 46, married his girlfriend of two years, former model Deborah Lin, 40, in a romantic ceremony in Honolulu, Hawaii, the bride’s hometown, on Saturday. They exchanged vows for 20 minutes and then celebrated with 200 friends and family at a Hawaiian and Chinese-themed reception. It sounds like a lovely day for the happy couple:
James Gandolfini and fiancée Deborah Lin tied the knot Saturday in her hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii, a wedding guest confirms to PEOPLE.
“There was a nice big kiss at the end with both hands on the cheeks” as The Sopranos star and Lin officially became husband and wife, the guest tells PEOPLE. “They looked great.”
As a group of their closest friends and family looked on, Gandolfini, 46, and Lin, a former model, 40, exchanged their vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by white lilies and rhododendrons adorning every pew held at Central Union Church.
According to the guest, Lin strolled down the aisle in a white gown made of Italian lace while her tuxedoed groom stood waiting as a harpist played the “Hawaiian Wedding Song” in the background.
Gandolfini’s son Michael, 8, from his first marriage to Marcy Wudarsk (which ended in 2002), served as best man.
Following the elegant 20-minute nuptials, the newlyweds stepped into a white stretch limousine bound for the evening reception at a nearby resort.
At the reception, Gandolfini and Lin sat at an elevated table looking out onto the 200 guests – double the size of the wedding ceremony – in the filled ballroom. “They both wore long, green leis around their necks,” says a source. “There were lots of white flowers on the tables and Gandolfini was beaming.”
The happy couple and their guests nibbled on lobster, pork and seafood hors d’oeuvres (pupu in local Hawaiian lexicon) and during a sit-down dinner, feasted on Ahi tuna, Chinese roasted duck breast over angel hair pasta and steamed bok choy, broiled Mahi Mahi and filet mignon. The final course featured tiramisu and – of course – cannolis.
Paying tribute to Lin’s heritage, three teams of Chinese lion dancers (at least three people per lion) cavorted between tables as onlookers dropped a dollar in each gaping mouth for good luck. “Jim and Deborah mingled through the crowd a lot,” says a guest. “Everything was just really tasteful.”

Congratulations to Gandolfini and Lin! I’m also pleasantly surprised to hear that Lin is 40, is around Gandolfini’s age, and started dating him well after he was divorced. You hear so many instances of cheating and older actors with 20-something women that it seems all too common.
Gandolfini lives in NY City and it is presumed the newlyweds will reside there.
Golden Globe winning actor Gandolfini is keeping busy in his professional life. He has five films completed, three in the works, and another upcoming television project, according to IMDB. Hopefully he’ll take some time off for a honeymoon.

In his new movie Pineapple Express, James Franco plays a visibly unwashed hippie pot dealer on the run from mobsters. The New York Daily News talked to Franco at the film’s after-party at Tenjune Tuesday night, and asked him about the alleged stolen uncredited t-shirt design he wears in Pineapple Express. WOWCH, a Brooklyn t-shirt marker claims the concept art of a shark eating a kitten was originally one of their designs created in 2005. Franco calls the allegations ridiculous and says it was an original design by the director, David Gordon Green.
Franco explaimed. “We completely created that shirt and that shark. David wanted me to wear a purple Monterey Bay T-shirt with a whale on it. I said I wasn’t into the whale shirt, so he came up with his own design, which was the shark.”
Then in the middle of the interview two attractive young ladies intervene and the interview takes a quick turn:
Girl: You look familiar.
Franco: I dunno. Have we met?
Girl: I saw you on screen an hour ago.
Franco: On the street?
Girl: No! On the movie screen! You were in the movie we just saw!

Handsome and smart too! The actor graduated from UCLA last month after taking English literature courses between film roles for the last few years and is determined to focus on attaining a higher degree over the next year or so. As part of his move to New York, Franco is heading to graduate school this September to help improve his movie script writing skills. Looks like he’ll make new friends fast!!

James Woods is back to his old bachelor tricks. Almost. This time, he’s not robbing the cradle so early. The actor, notorious for dating young ladies (including the daughter of his own good friend), took a lady friend out to lunch at Joan’s on Third in West Hollywood and then they went to a studio. Maybe James is the money behind an up-and-coming pop diva that he’s sleeping with. Who knows. But it looks like he learned his lesson with the last young thing he dated, because he’s moved up in age with this one. If only a little.

Daniel Craig sliced off the tip of his finger on the Quantum of Solace set today while filming an action scene according to The Daily Telegraph.
It is the second time in two weeks that Craig has been injured during filming. A week ago his face was cut and required eight stitches.But after the injury to his hand in the morning he was back on set to resume filming in the afternoon.
"There was quite a lot of blood and it was decided he needed to go to hospital for emergency treatment," explained a member of the Bond production team. A spokesman for production company Eon said that the actor was taken to see a doctor as "a precaution".
Some people on the set are thinking the this James Bond movie is cursed because this has just been the one of many accidents while filming the movie.
Hopefully they were able to reattach Craig's fingertip and no one else is injured during the making of this movie.

The J.R.R. Tolkien classic The Hobbit, a prequel to the Lord of the Rings series is set to be made into another blockbuster filming later this year. Word is that James McAvoy will be playing the original hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, who is eventually uncle to Elijah Wood's Frodo Baggins from the LOTR trilogy.
I think James would make a great hobbit! With cute furry feet! Doesn't he already look super whimsical in that bubble photo below?
James just needs to be aware that Elijah Wood hasn't really done anything since the trilogy -- but does he really need to? You know that kid made enough bank from playing a hobbit to support him and his future children the rest of their lives.
Seriously. Wake up and get that paycheck already, James!

The new Lord of the Rings prequel movie The Hobbit, has a director but is still searching for it’s star.
Scottish actor James McAvoy is rumored to be the lead candidate to play the role of hobbit Bilbo Baggins.
The J.R.R. Tolkien novel is hoping to be the next blockbuster hit and will be directed by Guillermo del Toro. Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf is already on board for the prequel.
But the big speculation is who will play the starring role of Bilbo Baggins. During the previous Lord Of The Rings film, Bilbo was played by Ian Holm, but the studio is looking for a new star for the prequel.
An industry insider tells the Daily Express,
“A number of names have been doing the rounds, including Daniel Radcliffe and Jack Black, but James [McAvoy] is the one the film’s bosses really want. They’re expected to have talks soon so hopefully it could be confirmed in the not too distant future.”
Director del Toro, hasn’t revealed his choice but indicates there is a favorite: “I can tell you it’s down to a few names that we all agree upon. For our first choice, completely magically we all have the same name.”
