She’s been in a state of bliss since marrying husband Nick Cannon earlier this year. And over the weekend, Mariah Carey began to show some tell-tale signs that she may be preggers.
The “Always be my Baby” songstress opted for an uncharacteristically conservative ensemble during her mini-Mexican vacation with her hubby, choosing to cover up her tummy rather than prancing around in skimpy swimwear.
Nick Cannon is a dumbass. Mariah Carey refused to have sex with him until after they were married. That explains why they got hitched only two months after meeting each other.
According to Mariah:
“It’s not that we had NO intimacy, we just didn’t have complete intimacy. It’s just me, and my feelings.
“I definitely don’t want to push it on anybody else. But we both have similar beliefs, and I just thought that it would be so much more special if we waited until after we were married. And it was, and it still is.”
Well, considering she’s an old, overweight has-been, she did what she had to do: blackmail some young dude into marry her.

Mariah Carey also revealed to the UK’s Daily Mirror that she kept her now husband Nick Cannon, waiting a lot longer then 3 hours for her attentions! Supposedly Mariah said in the two months that she and Nick dated before their April wedding, there was no ‘intercourse’ at all!
Mimi said that waiting was so worth it:

They were spotted landing at Heathrow International Airport earlier today, and this afternoon Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon greeted fans outside London’s Dorchester Hotel.
The “Touch My Body” songstress and her hunky hubby looked blissful as the smiled and waved to fans, taking a moment to pose for the paparazzi before going on their way.
Contestants of the show will be performing Mariah Carey ballads and she will be there to coach them.
Saturday night Mariah will accompany the finalists in a special performance of her hit song, ‘Hero’. She will also be performing her single ‘I Stay In Love’.
After staying in London for three nights, the mega superstar will be heading to Monaco where she will be attending the World Music Awards.
It takes a lot to keep this super diva looking good. When she arrived at London’s Heathrow airport she didn’t have 8, 9 or even 10 bags, she had 20.
Oh wait, I think it was only 19..

It’s cute that Nick thinks his party value is the same as Mariah’s. I’m not sure if he’s delusional or just bad at math. I’m fairly certain that after this the Easter fighting will begin, and then they’ll probably move ahead to arguing about Thanksgiving 2009. This bodes well for their relationship – as do the matching costumes.

Iron Man 3D with Mandarin?
In a very recent interview with Collider, director Jon Favreau mentioned that he is strongly considering shooting Iron Man 2 in IMAX 3D.Jon’s inspiration was the IMAX “Dark Knight” footage, which he called a game changer. Regarding the 3D, he said it’s all about the cost, but if they can make it happen he’d like to do it. He talked about getting to see the armor in 3D and how cool it would be. While he was a bit cagey about specifics with “Iron Man 2,” he did mention Iron Man’s arch villain ‘Mandarin’ a lot and he said we can expect a lot more surprises in the sequel in terms of other comic book characters (maybe the Avengers). I would be shocked if Mandarin wasn’t the featured villain for Iron Man 2, but that’s just me.

Edge of Darkness recast
British actor Ray Winstone is reportedly set to take over from Robert De Niro in crime drama Edge of Darkness. De Niro allegedly quit the film over creative differences after just two days shooting - and Winstone is now said to be in negotiations to step in.
Edge of Darkness features Mel Gibson as a cop investigating the fatal shooting of his daughter. It is due for release next year. Winstone would step in to the role of a man who destroys evidence after a woman’s murder, according to Daily Variety.

Mariah Carey’s new film, a road trip drama called Tennessee, will be released in December. Carey plays a waitress whose dreams of a singing career have been dashed by a bad marriage. Adam Rothenberg and Ethan Peck also star in the film. Seven years after her disastrous first movie, Glitter, was widely panned by critics, the singer’s latest film had its premiere at this spring’s Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The BBC’s Mark Savage, who watched the film at the Cannes Film Festival where it was previewed, said: “Amazingly, Mariah is the best thing in it.” He added: “Carey is so good, in fact, that the film feels rather flat when she’s off-screen.”
Here in the States, we love our American Idol! And just to our north, the Canadians were celebrating their Canadian Idol season finale with a little help from one of America’s favorite singers - Mariah Carey.

Yep, Mariah Carey has decided to manage herself. Mimi recently dumped Benny Medina as her manager but apparently he will still collaborate with her. Initial reports from the New York Daily News said yesterday that Carey,had dumped Medina, possibly because he had been “courting” his former client (and reported Mimi rival) Jennifer Lopez. Mimi issued the following statement to E! News to clarify the situation:
“Benny Medina and I will continue to work together on projects both present and in the future. I’m looking forward to working with Benny on what we have been developing, and to his continued involvement in my creative life.”

How utterly freaky. Mariah Carey just gave an interview in which she compared husband Nick Cannon to her mom. Now to be fair, she said it favorably. But how often does a guy want to hear that? It’s one thing to say your guy is just like your dad. Honestly that still makes me a little uncomfortable in some Freudian way I don’t even want to think about. But comparing him to your mom leaves all the Freudian stuff intact while also passive aggressively insulting the guy’s masculinity.
And considering the things people have said about who wears the pants in the Carey/Cannon household, the last thing Nick needs to hear about is how he’s like a woman.
Mariah Carey is convinced new husband Nick Cannon is her soulmate - because he reminds her of her mother.
The singer explains Cannon can make a bad situation good because he has such an upbeat attitude - just like her own mum.
She says, “When I was a kid there was an ice storm in the suburbs… We went to Manhattan to stay with a friend of my mom’s. There was nobody on the road. It was this moment that could’ve been scary for a kid, but she made it festive.
“That’s what Nick is like. He takes the hard part of a situation and makes it celebratory.”

When I first saw the part about the ice storm, I somehow read it as an ice cream storm. And I was trying to figure out what the hell that was… and how in the world something so fabulous could ever be scary. That’s a cute story though, and a sweet thing to say… just an unfortunately quotable way of putting it. And while I’m sure Mariah had the best intentions – it was obviously meant as a compliment – since everyone seems to agree that Nick is basically her wife, it might be best to keep the mother comparisons to herself from now on.

Mariah Carey takes time out of her busy schedule to reflect back on her childhood with the press. One of the experiences she shares while growing up, was being a child to a poor single mother.
“I didn’t have the money to get… even really enough food,” she told Fashion Rocks magazine of her childhood.
Mariah, who was raised by a single mother, says the need for bare necessities helped drive her to stardom.
So, Mariah, you were forced to eventually sing for your supper. So you sang, and you eventually had one helluva supper. No wonder you’ve put on so much weight over the years; you practically didn’t know there was food outside of ramen noodles and fish sticks until you hit it big. Well now what you know what a filet mignon tastes like, you can refrain from the gorging and carry on like any normal whore would.

I would so love to live in Mariah Carey’s world. It sounds frivolous, empty, and incredibly easy. Rarely do you hear about Mimi’s schedule getting bogged down with commitments like going to charity events, donating money, raising awareness for anything – well other than herself. She’s constantly flashing humongous jewels and furs and seen dining at the best restaurants. It’s kind of hard to tell where my sarcasm left off and truth began here.
Mariah’s self-indulgent lifestyle is getting kicked up a notch at the end of the month. Though she’d previously planned on throwing herself another wedding (because the first one to Nick Cannon – and Mariah’s second wedding overall) wasn’t fabulous enough, what with the island setting and the lobster and all). Plans for that seem to have been scrapped, but she is still throwing herself a wedding party so everyone can celebrate her in grand style. Oh and Nick too. Probably.
Mariah Carey is finally getting the wedding party she always dreamed about. Sources say Carey paid an astounding $125,000 to rent Stone Meadow Farm in East Hampton for one week this month. At the 10-bedroom, 18,000 square-foot, 8-acre spread, the diva and her new hubby, Nick Cannon, will “chill out” - as opposed to whatever else they’ve been doing since they married.
But we hear she’s also finally getting around to celebrating her quickie April wedding to Cannon. The party will be hosted by Def Jam boss L.A. Reid, and all the guests who bought Carey presents through her Bergdorf Goodman registry can finally toast the couple.
If all goes well, Carey has the option to buy Stone Meadow, which is listed at just under $20 million and is the site of the Red Cross Ball on Aug. 23. Carey’s rep and Corcoran listing agent Gary DePersia had no comment.
