We know Matthew McConaughey is a real DIY guy (in fact, we hear he even acted as his own publicist at girlfriend Camilla's Kitson handbag launch), and we've no doubt he's a hands on dad!
But is he pushing himself too far? Babies can be a handful -- we hope he's finding time to relax!
Although somehow we don't think "relaxing" is a big problem for Matthew...
Levi's dad looks a little, uh, I dunno! Matthew McConaughey is either too stressed or too... relaxed... here, walking around Malibu.

There's that smile!
Matthew McConaughey brought Camila and Levi out to the beach for a little sand, sun, and surfing Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, Camila kept Levi under wraps again - although as much as we'd love to see the little tyke again, we can't fault Camila for keeping him away from the sun's rays. Besides, Matty's antics on his surfboard were more than entertaining enough on their own!
Afterwards, Matthew headed over to Whole Foods to stock up on supplies. Looks like he made sure to get plenty of Heinekin - but then again we all know how much he loves beer!

Matthew McConaughey, loving father, finally decides what to do to commemorate the birth of his son: plant a tree…a placenta tree.
“It’s going to be in the orchards and it’s going to bear some wonderful fruit,” he says, according to an interview transcript. “When I was in Australia, they had a placenta tree that was on the river … and all the placentas of all that tribe, all that clan, whatever aboriginal tribe that was, all the placentas went under that one tree and it was this huge behemoth of just health and strength.
It’s nice that McConaughey is finally picking up a new, healthy hobby for his creepy guy tendencies. Scraping up placenta from hospital dumpsters and throwing it on trees…just like the aborigines. I bet if he looked farther into that culture, he might have discovered that that tree came to life every twenty years hungry, and in order to quench its insatiable appetite, they actually had to feed to it the children they’ve made him take a liking to. All the while, they sing and lament about the woes of being a Jewis…Aboriginal flower store keeper. That’s just something to think about.

Matthew McConaughey has come up with an unusual way to celebrate the birth of his son that he hopes will help the earth at the same time. The actor quirky kept the placenta from the July birth of his son Levi and plans to plant it in an orchard (fruit of his loins?). In an interview scheduled to air in two parts Aug. 9 and Aug 16, he tells CNN’s “House Call with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, that he hopes it will fertilize the land, a ritual long followed in several cultures:
“It’s going to be in the orchards and it’s going to bear some wonderful fruit. When I was in Australia, they had a placenta tree that was on the river … and all the placentas of all that tribe, all that clan, whatever aboriginal tribe that was, all the placentas went under that one tree and it was this huge behemoth of just health and strength.
“This tree was just growing taller and stronger above the rest of Mother Nature around it. It was gorgeous.”
McConaughey and the mother of his child, girlfriend Camila Alves have already started integrating Levi, into their lives with the “sights and the sounds” of the world including a John Mellencamp concert. McConaughey says:
“You’re never told in our house, ‘Shh, Levi is sleeping.’ No. Get used to the ambiance. Come with us. That’s how I was raised.”
We spotted Matthew McConaughey out with his running buddy yet again. Has there ever been a father in history more concerned about shedding his daddy weight? (Not that it's necessary - the only pounds we've seen Matthew gain lately are the ones on his weight vest!)
Keep it up, Matthew - not that you need to!
While togetherness is the key for any successful relationship, there’s also something to be said for getting some time apart. And Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves spent the afternoon yesterday doing their own thing.
Tending to her newborn son like a responsible mother, the Brazilian beauty was spotted doing a little shopping while toting Levi around in a sash-style carrier.
Of course he isn't; we just caught him out for a jog with an unidentified female running buddy two days in a row. Could she be Matthew's personal trainer? (Heck, maybe Matthew's training her - after all, who knows more about physical fitness than Matty?)

Jogging, surfing...looks like the only real change to Matthew's routine since the arrival of little Levi is he now wears a shirt!
And we can't say that we're too pleased about that one!
They certainly aren’t wasting any time getting their newborn son acclimated to the beach life. And over the weekend, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves took little Levi to the oceanside.
The new parents looked blissful as they strolled along the sandy shores of Malibu, California, with mom toting their baby and papa carrying his surfboard.
With a dad like Matty, this had to be expected!

We're almost surprised that Matty doesn't live right on the beach at this point!
Matthew and Camila's little Levi wasn't completely covered up when the family went for a walk, so we were able to sneak a peak at his precious face. However, what we're really in awe of is how amazing Camila looks. She gave birth less than 4 weeks ago, and she's already gotten her killer figure back! It's just not fair!

Looking very much like the picture of happy family, Matthew McConaughey, his girlfriend Camila Alves and their son Levi were spotted going for a family stroll yesterday near their Malibu, California home.
The 2-week-old baby was securely strapped into his stroller while Papa Matthew carried a basket on top of his head, and Mama Camila wore a skin tight re-shaper dress to get back to her pre-baby form.
Aw, now he's wearing shorts instead of that body-hugging wet suit!
Now that Matthew McConaughey's showed off a pic of his new baby boy Levi, it's time to go back in the water! We spotted the surfer dude doing just that on the beaches of Malibu yesterday...

Talk about one fit father!
With the active lifestyle he maintains, it’s no wonder Matthew McConaughey is such a hottie. And yesterday the new daddy was spotted catching some serious waves on his surfboard.
The “Dazed and Confused” actor grabbed a guy pal and headed out to Malibu for some quality time in the ocean as the paparazzi looked on. And when they finished up, Matthew looked pleased that he’d conquered the waves.

25-year-old Camila wanted a natural birth but "ended up having an epidural because, on the contractions, the umbilical cord was being compressed. They went in and tried the vacuum," says McConaughey. When the vacuum didn't work, the doctor performed a C-section.
Matthew tells OK!: "Becoming a dad is something I've dreamed of doing since I was 10. Becoming a father felt very, very natural."
Congrats to the happy family!

Matthew McConaughey has modeled for Stetson, he's a spokesperson for the National Cattleman's Beef Association, and oh yeah, he's acted in dozens of films, and now, the hunky DILF is adding another gig to his resume: record exec!
Matty wants to start a record label, and according to a source for the New York Post, "He's looking for a distribution deal with all the major labels for his own label. His first artist is a reggae guy called Mishka. The album will be called Above the Bones and the first single is Here Comes Da Train. He's also doing the soundtrack for Surfer Dude." In addition to doing the soundtrack for Surfer Dude, McConaughey stars in the film and is also listed as a producer.
A representative for McConaughey's confirmed the story but added, "There is no single yet."
What's next, a Matthew McConaughey clothing line? His lady Camila Alves already has her own purse line!

They’ve been chilling at the UCLA Medical Center all week, and finally yesterday Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves along with their newborn son made their way back home.
The “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” stud and his babymamma were spotted leaving the hospital in Santa Monica with their 3-day-old son Levi Alves McConaughey in the backseat.
Daddy Matthew protected his OK! mag deal baby as little Levi and mommy Camila left Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center surrounded by security this afternoon around 2:45 pm PT.
We bet that little bundle of joy is worth every penny of the $3 mill OK! mag is paying for the exclusive shots of the tyke and his parents. Congrats Matt and Camila!!!
Ironic, isn't it, that Matt stood by and watched as his beach buddies beat up the paps but he's all to quick to get into the business of papping pimping his own child to the mags?
Matthew McConaughey has revealed to OK! Magazine the name of his newborn son as, Levi Alves McConaughey.
Matt explains’s the name’s significance, saying: “Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person. Our son was born at 6:22 pm, and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: ‘If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.’”
Baby Levi’s middle name is taken directly from his mother Camila’s last name. “We wanted to incorporate her family name,” explains the proud new father.
To all the well-wishers and fans, Matthew and Camila have also released the following statement:
“We welcome Levi Alves McConaughey into this wonderful life and look forward to living in it with him. In the mean time and all times, just keep livin’.”

A source says, "Matt was so out of it when they reached the resort that the two guys had to carry him to his villa. They used his key, took him inside and put him to bed, then left — but they left the door unlocked."
Later that night, someone entered his villa while he was passed out and stole $2,000 and his blackberry phone.
The source adds, "Matt didn't report it to the local authorities. I guess he just considered it a lesson learned."
Yeah, a lesson he should have learned a long time ago!

Looks like Matthew's keeping mum!
We spotted the father-to-be out with Camila and company in Santa Monica today and the Fool's Gold star AGAIN kept quiet about the showdown in Malibu last weekend...
As a matter of fact, McConaughey was so resistant to say anything on the subject outside of Tengu this afternoon - despite being politely questioned by our photogs - we hafta wonder if he was told not to say anything. Speak up next time, Matthew, and give us some answers!
Think the beach bum will ever comment?
A group of surfers weren’t too happy when paparazzi came onto the beach in Malibu in hopes of catching a shot of Matthew McConaughey.
As the paparazzi filmed McConaughey surfing and waited for him to return to the beach, a group of pissed off, drunk young men approached them.
The young men get all worked up and do that testosterone thing that young punkasses do after a few free-flowing half racks of Pabst. Like a pack of dogs they approached the paps.
“We’ll draw a line in the beach, and we’ll fight for the beach. If you guys win, you can have the beach,” said one of the guys. The insults flew back and forth between the two groups of men and before you know it things got out of hand. Women on the beach are freaking out and one photographer who tried to stand his ground was soon on the receiving end of some pop shots - his camera eventually being thrown into the water.

The “Fool’s Gold” hunk kept busy playing Frisbee and drinking a beer while Alves, who’s currently 8-months pregnant, watched over a friend’s youngster before stealing a quick kiss from her man.
Not only is Matthew McConaughey a regulation hottie, but he's a total sweetheart too! We caught the hunky dad-to-be at the grocery store in Malibu, where he had a quick chat with one of the employees and then gave her a hug before he left.

With his pregnant fiancée Camila Alves sitting at home, Matthew McConaughey got blitzed on a surfing vacation earlier this month in Nicaragua. An eyewitness at a bar the actor happened by told Star magazine:
“He was acting like an out-of-control 18-year-old. He already seemed to be drunk when he arrived alone, and he only got worse from there on. He was putting the make on every woman in his path, throwing his arms around them and trying to kiss them, and trying to dirty-dance with a few out on the floor. But he was a mess, slurring his words and stumbling around. A few minutes after he finally left the bar, someone found him searching through a sewage ditch outside. When they asked him what he was doing, he mumbled, ‘I’ve lost my flip-flops!’” (Source)
After recent flops like Fool’s Gold and Sahara, if Matthew was digging around in the sewage ditch for anything, it was his career. That aside, can you blame the guy for wanting fresh poon? These days Camila’s almost as fat as one of Kirstie Alley’s thighs! If Matthew’s going to take this whole parenting thing seriously, he better stop picking up random bar skanks and start picking up some Huggies.

We've spent the last few months publicly wondering when Matthew McConaughey's main squeeze Camilla Alves would be giving birth - so imagine our surprise when we caught the couple heading into a hospital earlier today!
We caught up with Matty and Cammy outside of St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica a few hours ago. It turned out that Camilla's still got a few weeks of pregnancy left, and that the couple had only come out for a check-up. At least the couple seemed upbeat - although, with the end of Camilla's pregnancy in sight, we certainly understand why!

Expecting their first baby at what looks like any moment now, Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camila Alves were spotted by some eagle-eyed readers the other day enjoying a lovely meal at Coogies in Malibu over the weekend. According to our spy, "When we walked in, he was talking to some people sitting at the restaurant. He was really nice and made a point to thank the staff on his way out."
As for pregnant Camila, "She looked really pregnant ... and pretty." In our humble reader's opinion, Matthew does not disappoint in person either9, describing the Fool's Gold appearance as "amazing." When they couple left "the whole restaurant stared." As for these pictures, sadly, they're not from that particular encounter, but check out Camila's baby. Girlfriend is ready to pop.

Matthew McConaughey's latest relationship seems to be weathering the test of time. I am, of course, speaking of his recent romance with shirts. If you'll notice, Matthew's been concealing his chest a lot more lately, even while on the beach. Granted, he's not above covering it in spandex, to remind us of the contours that lie beneath the thin layer of wetsuit, but he has been dressing decidedly more modestly as of late. And we salute you, Matthew. Shirtlessness can be a gift from God, but it's not a good idea to abuse it.

I'll say this much for Matthew McConaughey, he's not one to park his ass on the couch. Here he is being all man and surfing and running and downing a Corona and just being incredibly heterosexual. And despite the fact that he probably smells like roadkill under a hot sun, he certainly fills out a unitard. Damn, back that azz up, Matty! He's going to be a daddy soon. He's already trying to pimp the photos. So expect to see a father and son beach bonfire bongo ganja-smelling stank pits team in the near future.
