In Plain Sight is only half way through with its first season, but USA is wasting no time to pick up this show for a second season. If you have never seen this show, check out why USA picked it up before it goes into the witness protection program or better known as repeats, tonight and every Sunday at 10p.
Psych is back and tonight on USA at 10p and we finally meet Sean’s mom. So who was the woman that was actually brave enough to marry to Henry Spencer and give birth to Sean…no other than Cybill Shepherd. Cybill a private practice psychologist met Henry Spencer (Corbin Bernsen) when he was a cop and had to analyze him. The two found love, but let’s be real Henry is not the easiest guy to live with. This season we see a new side of Henry as he tries to impress her….will it work?
Also on the episode Sean and Gus’ business partnership is in trouble when Gus’ real job tells him it is either them or Psych. Which will Gus choose…working his best friend or his $40,000 a year job?
So tune in to Psych on USA at 10p to see Sean with his mom and without Gus..or with him?
Monk is back tonight on USA at 9p and he is just as neurotic and as lovable as ever.
As most of you know the show lost one of its actors over the hiatus. Stanley Kamel passed away from a heart attack in March. This season his shoes will be filled by Hector Elizondo, and he steps in to the role perfectly. He plays it like Kamel, so us loyal viewers will not be as shocked by the change, but he also changes it up. It will be interesting to see what dynamic he will bring to the show.
Talking about changes to the show, Monk buys a house in the season premiere and of course that change does not go smoothly. Can Brad Garrett fix up the house or will he only make it worse?
So tune in to Monk tonight at 9p on USA for a new season of mysteries to be solved and what new things he fears and obsesses over.
I love the USA show Psych, I love the song Ebony and Ivory, but I do not love Psych’s James Roday and Dule Hill singing the song. Even though their singing voices aren’t my cup of tea, their performance of it so adorable. In fact they are both still have that great chemistry on the new season of Psych that is back on USA this Friday at 10p.

This summer, USA Network presents the second season of Burn Notice, a sexy, action-packed original series starring Jeffrey Donovan as Michael Westen, a blacklisted spy. Dumped in his hometown of Miami without money or resources, Michael struggles to put his life back together and find out why he’s been burned. In the meantime, he uses his unique skills and training to help people in need … mostly people who can’t get help from the police.
Burn Notice also stars Gabrielle Anwar as Fiona, a beautiful ex-IRA operative who happens to be Westen’s ex-girlfriend. Bruce Campbell stars as Sam, Michael’s closest buddy in town, a washed up military intelligence contact who is keeping an eye on Michael for the Feds. Also starring is Emmy® Award-winner Sharon Gless as Madeline, Michael’s hypochondriac mother, who couldn’t be happier to have her boy back in town.
Joining the cast this season in a recurring role is Tricia Helfer (“Battlestar Gallactica”) as Carla, the woman who may be behind Michael’s burn notice.

I am loving her dynamic that she adds to the show. It is like the cherry on top of a pina colada!!! But the pina colada is still great with best friend Bruce Campbell and Sharon Gless as nagging mom! BTW she looks she lost a few more pounds and she looks amazing!!! She might be down a few pounds, but this show is up in creativity and laughs!
So tune in to Burn Notice tonight and every Thursday at 10p and watch the show that gave the USA Network another night of successful programming

So I am excited to what trouble they get into during the second season of the show and what other ways we are shown how to be spies with common household products.

I never thought I would like a show about witness protection, but when it comes to In Plain Sight I thoroughly enjoyed it. Each week Mary and partner Marshall are trying to help people who have had their lives uprooted to Albuquerque to enter the witness program. They are from all over the country, they are young, old, families and people who had the wrong job at the wrong time. It is interesting to watch the reactions of different people as they are told they have to give up their lives and say goodbye to everything in their past. You wonder if you can do it, I don’t know if I can. But this show it is not only about their journey. but protecting them after they make the move.
In Plain Sight is not your usual procedural show and the pace of it is so fast that you will be shocked to see the show is almost over when you will think it has just started! Mary McCormack is good as tough a$$ with a little bit of a heart Mary Shannon. Frederick Weller is perfect as her partner, his timing and delivery is spot on and being cute doesn’t hurt him. The only thing i can live without is her family, they feel thrown in and are so over the top I wouldn’t mind if they were written off the show.
So tune to In Plain Sight tonight on USA at 10p!!!
Hector Elizondo has been cast as Adrian Monk's new psychiatrist according to Michael Ausiello. He is replacing Stanley Kamel, who played Dr. Kroger, who sadly passed away earlier this month. As we've noted previously Rupert Murdoch's new toothsome child Fox Business Network might look purdy but it isn't doing all too well in terms of viewership. One reason might be the persistent idiocy of long-haired dingbat Cody Willard. He has a show called Happy Hour in which he talks business with guests in front of a set that looks like a bar (complete with sad bartender who probs is some old school real journalist but too old/reasonable to be the focus of a program). Sometimes Willard doesn't talk business at all. For example in this clip, he talks about tits with a woman who not only has them but displays them for profit in magazines like Penthouse. To be fair, Cody doesn't even really talk about tits. He talks about himself talking about tits.
He also talks about himself in context of going to see football, his accent and his mother. I'm a tit man myself. I would be happy to watch a television network that consists only of shots of breasts. Sometimes I do just this. Sometimes on the internet. Sometimes on pay-per-view. It seems like a woman with breasts in front of a bar would be a surefire way to draw viewers. But somehow, in a dazzling feat of ineptitude, Cody Willard's rambling narcissism (and its compensatory sycophancy) saps our desire to look at tits, an activity for which our passion we heretofore thought could never dimmed. If Fox Business Network can make looking at breasts and talking about them with someone who has them an unenjoyable activity, what can't they do?

'Extra' host Mark McGrath has said that 27-year-old Fox Business Network anchor Jenna Lee "puts the babe in business news." But it seems that even she's not babe enough to score viewers, let alone a date. Fox's fledgling biz network is off to a meager start with an average of 6,000 weekday viewers in its first two months. Maybe Jenna's requirements for would-be suitors are just too stringent! "My perfect man has to be wicked smart," she tells 'Extra'. "A good sense of humor doesn't hurt, but at the end of the day you want a smart man." Presumably you wouldn't mind if he were also a well-educated 18-35-year-old influencer with a high household income and a weakness for luxury goods? Ladies, next time one of you FBN pinup-newswomen talks to Sugar Ray about what you're looking for in an audience, be more specific!

USA has given us some major coal in our stockings as not only have they cancelled The 4400, but word comes from Broadcasting and Cable that The Dead Zone now lives up to its middle name and is no longer in its last names.
I really loved The Dead Zone and it kept getting better with age, but with age comes costs and even though they cut their costs last season USA still didn't pick them up. USA now has major holes in its Summer Sunday nights and at least one less viewer. Bah humbug.
BTW the news is even grimmer because Monk might not be coming back for a seventh season because they are in contract talks with Tony Shaloub that stalled before the strike. USA would be stupid not to give the multi-Emmy award winner everything he wants, but then again we are talking the network that dropped 2 of my favorite summer shows.
Scott Peters broke the sad news on The 4400 message board that The 4400 was cancelled. Although last season went in a different direction that always didn't work, I am really bummed to see this show get cancelled. Now I wonder if The Dead Zone suffered the same fate as The 4400?
Christmas comes early for me tonight thanks to USA for doing holiday episodes for Monk and Psych. Of course it would have been better if they did one for The Dead Zone and picked up that show for another season!
BTW as we all know Emmy winning Tony Shaloub’s Monk is hysterically funny, but if you have never seen Psych tune into for some Holiday Cheer on USA at 10p!!!
