Always up for a promotional event, Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson attended the Playboy fragrance launch at the Hotel on Rivington in New York City on Thursday (October 30).

Though she’s been vehemently denying any hint of splitting up, the “Girls Next Door” babe recently came clean to a paparazzo who asked her if she could get him into the infamous Playboy Mansion Halloween Party.
She’s one of the hottest ladies on reality TV, and over the weekend Kendra Wilkinson enjoyed the fruits of her status with some beach partying in the Bahamas.
The “Girls Next Door” cutie spent her Saturday afternoon (October 4th) as the lead judge for the swimsuit segment of the Sun Fun & 21 event at Cain at the Cove in Nassau.
Tonight will be a double elimination on The CW’s America’s Next Top Model and one model will not stay long enough to have her picture taken. Just like a firing squad she will go out blindfolded.
I am so glad that ANTM is changing things up, I just wish they would do challenges and photoshoots but that is aksing for too much.

The “Girls Next Door” babe looked conservative-yet-sexy in a blue blouse teamed with a blue high-waisted belted skirt, peep-toe heels, and a fabulous Louis Vuitton handbag as she shopped on Robertson Boulevard, stopping to eat lunch at the Ivy restaurant.
I was hoping that America’s Next Top Model would have more normal shoots this season, but looks like that is not going to happen. BTW what are these girls selling by their poses…themselves?

Tyra Banks and her 2 Jays are back for another season of America’s Next Top Model on The CW at 8p tonight. The casting show as you can tell is a lot different from all the rest, but the zaniest from those 3 is still there.
Now that Tyra has her plus-size model winner she has moved on to trying to find a transgendered model to win the title. Her first one is a pre-op Isis and it looks like most the show is going to be about her. Some of the girls do not feel comfortable about living with her because she still has a peepee, so it will be interesting to see what happens as the season goes on. The good thing is Isis doesn’t come off as confrontational to it all and you have to respect her for that.
The first shoot is political, something I am surprised they didn’t hold off on until closer to the election, but I guess it works because the Republican National Convention is on (I think) tonight.
It is hard to judge who will America’s Next Top Model until after the makeover episode, but it sure as heck will be interesting to see who will win at the season. So tune into America’s Next Top Model tonight and every Wednesday on The CW at 8p.
Tyra Banks is bringing the fierce this season with a America’s Next Top Model first. “Isis” is the first trans-gender contestant to ever appear on the modeling reality show, and hopefully the last. I’m all for ‘be who you really are’, it’s bad enough there is a world full of skinny-supermodels out there that look better in a pair of jeans than I do. I sure has hell don’t want boys looking better in them than I do!
Isis is the first transgendered model to make it to the final 14 on America’s Next Top Model. I guess now that they had a plus-size model win ANTM they wanted to try something else like transgendered models. Personally I don’t care what they try as long as they do more normal photoshoots like they did on the first season. That and the show is less about Tyra Banks, please Tyra it is not all about you.

Yup, America's Next Top Model is making history again - last season, the show picked it's first plus size winner, and this season the show will have its first transgendered contestant!
Isis, 22, is a pre-op transgender model who was born a male, but says she was "born in the wrong body" and adds that she's felt like a girl for "as long as [she] can remember." Isis was featured as an extra model for the homeless photo shoot last season, and host and creator Tyra Banks encouraged her to try out for show this season.
The 11th season of the hit reality show premieres on the CW on September 3 at 8 p.m....we can't wait for the fierceness!

Well, not meet them but at least we get a good look at them in this new ad. America’s Next Top Model Cycle 11 is back biatches! Tyra Banks and crew return to television Wednesday, September 3rd.
So if this is cycle 11, that would mean that there are 10 other Top Models out there already. Really? Other than seeing anorexic Jolene on occasion, it doesn’t see to me that the winners of this show get any work at all. I don’t know kids. I’m starting to think winning this competition does not a Top Model make.
It only takes one look at Hugh Hefner’s three-girlfriend-arrangement to give most guys a headache. But according to Playboy Playmate Kendra Wilkinson, they’ve struck the perfect balance to make everything run as smooth as possible.
Wilkinson told FOX Pop Tarts’ Hollie McKay, “We are three very different people — we’re doing very different things with our lives and we don’t step on each other’s toes. If we all wanted the same thing it wouldn’t have worked, because that’s where all the drama would have started, but we’re like the Spice Girls — I’m the sporty one. We are on different roads and they don’t intersect. We don’t spend time together every day — girls just can’t do that.”
Seriously not only is the wax version of Tyra Banks prettier and thinner than the real one, it also looks more real than her. Maybe we can replace the real with her on America's Next Top Model! C'mon how much better would ANTM be without her 2 cents every 5 seconds!

Most guys are lucky to get one beautiful woman on their arm, but Hugh Hefner has three! And at last night’s AFI Life Achievement Award, the Girls Next Door added some sex appeal to the red carpet.
The 36th Annual AFI Life Achievement Award Ceremony, held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California, was a high-profile event, as always. And Bridget Marquardt, Holly Madison, and Kendra Wilkinson had all they could do to keep up with the aging magazine publisher.
Television networks, still reeling from strike-related ratings slips, have gone and broken the glass on their last-resort failsafe. They're cutting costs on reality shows. Executives are looking to further streamline the already seductively cheap 'n easy (that's why there are so many of 'em!) younger siblings of scripted programming by cutting down on non-studio filming and long editing times. Expect more shows, like the odious hit game show Moment of Truth (where contestants reveal terrible secrets while drooling for cash), that really only amount to "two people sitting in chairs onstage." More expensive reality shows like Hell's Kitchen need to be overseas hits before American networks will consider producing their own versions, which doesn't happen every day. What could this mean for reality favorites like Top Chef, Project Runway, and America's Next Top Model? We have some grim forecasts after the jump.
Project Runway
How It Is Now: The popular, zeitgeisty series, in which gay people and ladies compete to design the best fashions, has one more season on Bravo before it moves over to Lifetime, where it will (presumably) be their flagship program. The contestants run all over New York (well, it'll be in LA for Lifetime) and have lots and lots of challenges outside the confines of a "studio." Add big-name talent like Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn to the roster, and it's not exactly bargain basement.
The Cheapening: The LA move, done so Klum can be closer to family, will feature most of its workroom scenes filmed in the Bavarian model's mudroom. While it will look sadly low-budget, there will be the unexpected thrill of seeing Klum, fuzzy in the background, walking around in a commandant's uniform, brandishing a Luger, yelling "schnell! schnell!" to her terrified children, and making husband Seal bounce balls on his nose for fish. Also, Michael Kors will be replaced with a Teddy Ruxpin doll that's been dyed orange.
Top Chef
How It Is Now: The "drunken, horribly angry chefs compete for a vague prize" Bravo hit is all about on-location filming, from Miami to New York to Chicago. No "big" names like Project Runway, but zombie bite victim and series host Padma Lakshmi probably isn't that cheap anymore.
The Cheapening: Easy-Bake Ovens, mostly. Head judge Tom Colicchio will be swapped out for a cardboard cutout of Mr. Clean. Also, the already heavily product-placementy series will get further tie-ins, and contestants will be forced to cook with only the "Kraft family of products."
America's Next Top Model
How It Is Now: This strange, melting wax figurine of a competition series, one of The CW's biggest hits, flies their final contestants to far-flung locations like China, Thailand, and South Africa. They often employ many stylists and photographers. Plus, Tyra. She's making a mint off this thing.
The Cheapening: The new, cheaper "cycles" will last only three minutes. The first two will just be slo-mo footage of Tyra gyrating and posing for some unseen photographer while, in voiceover, she reads selections from her diary. In the final minute, Tyra will shriek some weird name like "Yahoo" or "Jasmenayaya" and a weird leggy thing will emerge from the shadows, weeping. She'll be handed the keys to a 1987 Datsun and then the lights will be shut off. Nothing will be lost in this new version.
The Hills
How It Is Now: Fancy camera work, increasingly popular stars, buzzy pop songs, constant on-location filming. While MTV is unlikely to make many changes to their hugely successful series, there are a few corners that could be cut.
The Cheapening: Each episode will simply feature soaring stock footage of Los Angeles while melancholic upbeat pop-emo songs play. In a little box in the corner of the screen, one cast member (to be changed every week) will make facial expressions. Sometimes they'll say things like "Brody" or "Le Deux" or "Baloney."
Only time will tell if these prognostications will come true. You can also probably look forward to new seasons of your favorite reality shows like Survivor: Parking Lot, The Just OK Race, and So You Think You Can Dance For Nickels. Maybe we'll finally see the genre killed off! Wouldn't that be something.
For now, though: Enjoy.
Modeling is not for the week of heart. America’s Next Top Model Cycle 7 winner Caridee English was admitted to the hospital on Sundayfor dehydration. That’s funny, we thought all model drank lots of water…no food….but lots of water.
A source says English was taken by ambulance last weekend from the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Connecticut, where she was attending a party at Shrine, a new restaurant/club. “CariDee did go to the hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning to be treated for dehydration,” her rep confirms. “She called to be taken to the hospital. She is fine and back to work in Los Angeles.”
You know what this is don’t you? Crazy-ass Melrose probably put a hex on her. You KNOW she was not a good loser.
Well, in the end it goes to Cook in a landslide. I am surprised! I thought the squealing masses of girls and soft dulcet tones of Archie's "Imagine" repeat on Tuesday night would win over middle ground voters who might have found Cook to be too edgy. But no, in a 12 million vote landslide, our combovered pal from Kansas City tearily took the crown and Simon and company rejoiced. I guess 19 and the judges were behind Cook all along. Perhaps the over the top Archie plaudits were just a calculated bait and switch. Or maybe there's nothing so cynical about American Idol after all. Good for Cook. Instant fame! Who else has won grand television prizes this year, on shows like America's Next Top Model and Project Runway? David Cook, American Idol Season 7
Why He Won: Because, frankly, he was the best. Sure you could sing the praises of a Carly Smithson or even an Archuleta, and yes you could (I certainly would) call Cook a bit smug at times, but he was consistently "in good voice" and as original as this show gets. He did well by himself digging up saucy arrangements of pop staples like "Billie Jean" and forged his own path with the surprisingly rockin' riff on Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby."
What the Future Holds: The inevitable tour (which, and you'd better not tell anyone this, I will be attending in Worcester, MA on August 9th. Shh.) A record contract with 19 Entertainment. Big record sales, I predict. He's Daughtry-lite, if that's even possible.
Kristi Yamaguchi, Dancing With the Stars, Season 6
Why She Won: (OK, so she was already a "star.") The figure skating background (she won the gold medal in Albertville in '92) probably didn't hurt. She was a regular favorite on the show because of her superior dancing chops, plus a lady hadn't won since Kelly Monaco in the first season. Take that, ex-football stars and Mario Lopez.
What the Future Holds: I believe there is some sort of tour (which I will not be attending). Hopefully Kristi will film a cameo in The Cutting Edge 4: The Wrath of D.B. Sweeney
Whitney Thompson, America's Next Top Model, Cycle 10
Why She Won: Well, it's a bit mysterious. By all accounts, runner up Anya was consistently better throughout the season. ANTM' s biggest fan Nick Denton (kidding!) recently suggested that it might have been a set-up because Whitney is a "plus-sized" model, and one of those things has never won before. Her Seventeen magazine prize photo shoot may prove or disprove her alleged plus size; I don't know lady parts well enough to determine.
What the Future Holds: She has a year contract with a modeling agency, which involves being a Cover Girl. Very few (I believe only one?) of ANTM's models get that contract renewed, so it's hard to say where Thompson will end up. I imagine at a shopping mall somewhere, plagued by ever-deepening wrinkles caused by car payments and the dim, seemingly shrinking house and the ever-swaying pine trees off in the distance that once seemed to promise her the world but now seem only to fence her in.
Christian Siriano, Project Runway, Season 4
Why It Won: Siriano, hot-tranny verbal mess that he was, was clearly the most adept and promising designer of the bunch. Sure Rami was talented and Jillian was stern and focused, but Christian had that youthful flair. The Gays, whose pink-gloved hands are all over this show, love to remind viewers that youth and charming hubris always trump age and experience, sadly.
What the Future Holds: He is currently designing a collection for Spring Fashion Week in New York (to be held this fall) and designing on commission from fashion mavens like Victoria Beckham. He's also filming a sequel to The Jungle Book.
The Rookies, Real World/Road Rules Challenge, "The Gauntlet III"
Why they Won: Presumably, because they are rookies, the cirrhosis was less advanced. Also their team had been systematically whittled down to a small few, so they were quick and able to beat the large, bloated Veterans team.
What the Future Holds: Automobile accidents, embarrassing pants-dropping at Tallahassee bars, an infinite number of further Challenge seasons. Four of them are already dead. (Not really.)
So, there you have it. Our winningest winners in this most winning of years. Of course, So You Think You Can Dance and Last Comic Standing will be gnawing at us all summer, crowning people some time in August. So, I guess the winning keeps going. And going. And going. It never stops.
So why do we feel like we're losing?
Last week we wondered loudly if this season of America's Next Top Model had been fixed. A plus-sized model won and all and yeah, yeah isn't that great. Some people, though, smelled a rat. Did she really deserve to win? Was this just producer plotting to make the show seem more fair? In much the same way that rumors have been circulating that, per producer decree, a woman has to win this (the fourth) season of Top Chef, critics have suggested that the show, after umpteen "cycles" featuring plus-sized girls, predetermined that a "larger" model would win this season. A token, if you will. Adding to the fervor is the Seventeen magazine cover shoot that the winner, Whitney Thompson, received as a prize. Does she really look like a size 14, as she claims she is? Did she just pack on pounds to be The Plus-Sized and then drop weight again after the victory, as some have suggested? Having little to no knowledge of sizes and whatnot (boys!), tell me: does she look like a size 14 in these photos? I'm sure some airbrushing occurred, but does she look anything close to her purported size? It would be something of a scandal if the whole thing was, you know, staged. On Wednesday night's finale on the CW, Whitney Thompson became the first plus-size model to win the ANTM competition, a result met with tepid politically correct applause. But not from Gawker's readers: "Are you seriously not gonna say anything about the fact that some fat girl won ANTM over the one who got an excision?" one asks. "It's sooo unfair I don't even now why to make myself puke anymore!" Well, the outcome may indeed have been unfair. Some mean-spirited critics have noted that show creator and host Tyra Banks, a former supermodel, is above her fighting weight. And a friend of a friend of blogger Rich Juzwiak says the show's makers may have—shockingly!—planned on a plus-size victory from this season's very start.
The claim is that Whitney did not try out for top model but was approached on a plane by someone from the show. She was already doing modeling as a size 2 or 4 but because she was closer to a 4 she was a little too big for the show as a regular model. They told her that if she went and gained 10-20 pounds they would definitely put her on the show as "the plus-size model". [via Juzwiak's Four Four]

Roma! It's been a long, and sorta interesting journey. We had Lauren, the lumbering Texas Chainsaw Massacre fan who drank her coffee out of a wineglass and had no qualms about trying to kill Fatima or Dominique. Claire, the girl who I thought would this whole deal who ended up being that girl on the playground who constantly had the other girls following her around as she tormented the girl with the brace. And here I thought she was totally cool DIY chick. And Mad Dog Marvita, who was so tough and sassy and completely ready to shank a bitch for her calling cards that I thought I might be in love. But alas, they went home. And we're down to the effervescent, slightly elvish Anya, yes? And big, brassy, kind of stank Whitney. And finally, the genitally mutilated, absent of tact Fatima. Tonight is finally the season finale of the tenth edition of American’s Next Top Model.
Will it be the snooty Fatima, the bitchy Whitney or Anya? I am hoping it is Anya because she is the only one I like that is left on the show since Dominique was unfairly eliminated last week. If Fatima wins I am done with the show. If Whitney wins, I will consider giving up the show. So let’s hope for Anya.

Is anyone else wondering how Dominique made it this far? None of my choices were correct this cycle and it's killing me. Whitney and her shifty eyes discuss how she's been in the bottom two the last two times. She's got a lot of make-up on and looks a little geisha. Blond geisha. Blond geisha who likes cookies. She says she can't be "posey". She talks about how America's ready for a plus-size model to be America's Next Top Model. Maybe so, but Anya's not plus size and she's going to take that prize.
Oh, by the way! Faithful Socialite Life reader Anita let me know that Anya's crazy accent is "Hawaiian pidgin."
"It's a mix of all the different ethnic groups accents with native Hawaiian," says Anita. Thanks, sweetie! Learning is fun!
When the models get home, posters of Saleisha have been plastered all over the house. It's seriously the only exposure she's been getting lately. Whitney's like "she got to pose with Tyra?" Did Big Whitney watch this show before she tried out for it? Don't they all? Maybe not Adrienne Curry, but the rest of them did.

Rome! Ciao bella! Whitney talks about how the judges figured out she was a fake-ass. Fatima's like Whitney's freaking out, but my commercial was rad, yo! She goes on about how she's improving and how wonderful she is and what would the world do without Fatima? Is it bad that I actually prefer her going on non-stop about her missing clitoris as opposed to herself? That was actually more interesting.
Fatima tells Dominique that she doesn't have any competition, and us that her improvement is bugging the rest of the girls. What's bugging the rest of the girls is that your leprosy might be catching. I swear, this biddy caught some kind of skin ailment during this cycle and I don't know what it is!

Wow, it's been two weeks! Last week was a re-cap show, so I take the night off and think about my OWN career as a model. It's suffered since I started recapping this show. I've had to turn down all sorts of offers. Ingrates!
Whitney talks about how there's seven left. She can't believe Claire went home. Lauren feels like she accomplished more than she "ever dreamed to." Her dream was to express all her punk rock anger on national television and she did it. God save the queen, Lauren! Now gob at me!
Stacy-Ann eats fruit and wants to push herself. That fruit will push something. Dominique's talking about going abroad. Which means she ain't. Fatima is a dumbass; she lost the document that lets her leave the country. She only has a green card. Dumbass could get kicked out by default. And by dumbness. She's crying. Marvita, did you leave me a blunt and a .40? I hope so. I need something to remember your ass by. This show is empty now. Couldn't you have at least pistol-whipped Big Whitney or Dominique or (most definitely) Fatima before you left?
The girls ride home from judging in the Fab Cab, and people start kissing Mormon Aimee's ass. They're in awe of her skin? I can barely even recognize Aimee. She just kind of blends into the cab's interior.
Lauren is still lacking confidence, and it shows in panel. Claire talks to her husband Matt about their daughter. Her teeth are coming through and she will never forgive her mother for running off to lick Tyra Banks' ass during her formative years. Claire pumps breast milk in her bunk bed every night. It's like something out of a home for unwed mothers in the 50s! She cries while she does it, especially because her milk is starting to dry up. Having to look at Dominique's aged drag face every morning would dry up anyone's breast milk reserve.

OK that is enough on that, hopefully next week her and her hairy armpits will be gone. Her or that bitchy Whitney someone give that plus-size model some sugar ASAP because she is getting bitchier by the minute!

In the new opening, which is very gay and I love it, Tyra does this weird spirit fingers in front of her face dance gesture which jets me to the moon. And I'm never coming back. I still can't get used to Mary J. Blighe selling cars. This is not the 411 I needed to know. Dominique needs to stop with that waterfall on her head. She needs to let the hair fall down around her face to hide the masculine. She wants to impress the judges because she's a competitor and "fierce", "strong" and "beautiful". She's a diva, she says. If she means the kind who performs at a bar that bachelorette parties flock to see guys in drag, then yeah, she's a diva.
A huge amount of purses has been left at their doorstep. It's like the guy who sells Louie Vootawns out of his car stopped by. Or was that Shanel? Marvita is happy because she got some free swag. Girls scream and shout because of free stuff. I would, too. Fatima is screaming to Jesus because of a top. That Stacy chick with the helium voice and general air of dullard shoves her ass into the confessional camera so we can see her free Apple bottom jeans. Those are some gross jeans.

Is it just me or did they make the girls over on America's Next Top Model a little earlier this year? That and wasn't it the worst and most boring makeovers yet to date. What did they do to Monique and Stacey Anne's hair. Tyra likes chopping off the hair of the girliest girls and make them more butch and you know what it doesn't work time and time again. And what was up with all the bleaching. The bleached hair didn't work on any of them in fact it made Whitney and Claire look horrible.
Now when it comes to the eliminated Allison although I think she has the look, that picture is GA.
BTW next week's ANTM looks great because it looks like the girls are finally going to put the Bitchy Fatima in her place! At least I hope they do!!!
Every season no matter what the best episode of America’s Next Top Model is the makeover episode and it doesn’t look like tonight is going to disappoint! I can’t wait to see what they do to the girls or I should say what Tyra does them. Personally I wish someone else would choose how to makeover the girls besides Tyra because I don’t think she always has the best eyes for the girls. And I am the only who wishes one season one of the girls would gives Tyra a makeover and pulls out her weave?

So I watched the behind the scenes show before this, and let me tell you - Toccarra needs her own show. The boyfriend doesn't watch ANTM too closely, but he thought so, too. She's just sweet and amusing and sassy. With big breasteses! Anyway, it's the TENTH cycle of America's Next Top Model! And Tyra's bringing it back to New York City! This is hot, because let's face it - New York is way more of a fashiony model town than L.A.
We open with Tyra talking about the tenth cycle, and counting down 10 categories of moments from previous cycles. Let me tell you, I could watch Coryn or Corrine or whoever that tranny was call Lisa an "alcoholic bitch" 365 days a year. Oh, and I really like the beer in the weave part. America needed to see that. That actually set the prestige of modeling back about 2000 years. There's teary makeovers, medical emergencies (when that one chick goes flat out on her back during judging, I am in love. Mainly because she managed to alarm even Janice Dickinson who you would think would just put an ashtray on her forehead and keep smoking and saying crazy things), Jays, bugs, you name it. I might shed a tear.
Anyway, the theme this year appears to be prep school, which is a good opportunity to lure straight guys into watching this because straight dudes LOVE when a grown woman puts on a school girl uniform. How can so many men share the same fetish, I'll never know.

Did you watch the premiere, on Wednesday night, of the newest iteration of Tyra Banks' hop hop hopping mad clusterfuck America's Next Top Model? You didn't??? You mean you didn't see where the girl talks about drinking her own breast milk or when one lady asks another lady who was circumcised at the age of seven back in Somalia if she "feels like less of a woman"? Well, I'd like to say I didn't either, but sadly, I was coerced. It being the most hideous show ever created, Top Model does warrant some attention, but not too much. Like, don't actually watch it or anything. Instead watch the provided clip, after the jump. It's long, but it's the only nine minutes and twenty five seconds of this show you will ever need to subject yourself to. Oh, and there's a lap dance!
Can you believe that America’s Next Top Model is in its 10th cycle? Starting tonight on The CW at 8p ANTM takes it back to Cycle 1’s locale and moves back to NYC. That is not the only change this years supermodel is Paulina Porizkova and she is not going to be as nice as she looks.
This cycle’s top 14 are the prettiest to date and we haven’t even had the makeover episode yet. Amis and Allison remind me of ‘80 models with their looks. Whitney is the prettiest plus-size model to date and you forget quickly that she has a few extra pounds on her because her face is just that stunning. Fatima is beautiful like a young Iman but the fact that she was circumcised when she was 7 gets old fast because that is all they concentrate on with her. But when it comes to winning, I think Dominique has a real chance as long as she doesn’t style herself.

Elyse Sewell, the beat-up ex-girlfriend of the indie-band Shins keyboard player (and former America's Next Top Model contestant!), had to go to court today. "Soon I will find out whether I will be prosecuted or the District Attorney will drop the felony charges," she Livejournals. (She bit the keyboardist in self-defense). She posted a photo of herself standing outside a skeezy motel room, lookin' adorably waifish, yet appropriately demure, in a long black skirt, royal-blue mini-jacket, and T-strap shoes. Tyra would definitely approve! Her verdict, and her wide-eyed shock that her public Livejournal is "tabloid fodder," follows.
The D.A. has rejected the case against me. I am free. I wish the same outcome for Marty and have no intention of pursuing any further legal action. I would not wish entanglement in the widening gyre of the American legal system upon my worst enemy.It was incredibly naive of me not to realize that my blog entry about this incident would become tabloid fodder. That was not my intention. I consider the small circle of people who frequent this LJ to be a support group; the much larger world of tabloid readers is certainly not. I will never speak of this again, nor malign Marty in this space. And tomorrow this'll be fishwrap.
Expect few updates to this journal in the next couple of weeks as I will be untangling the web of seven years of cohabitation with my ex-boyfriend, packing up my shit, and thickening up a plot to travel and work in more temperate climes.
