What was the secret to the worldwide success achieved by the hit movie Hairspray? According to two of the movie’s rising stars, Zac Efron and Nikki Blonsky, it was all about friendship.
The duo, who’ve been busy traveling from Australia to Spain and Rome for press duties, told press that they believe their on-screen chemistry in Hairspray worked out so well because they became such good friends in real life.
It’s been a huge success so far, and as Hairspray premiered in Spain, Nikki Blonsky and Zac Efron sat down to answer some questions about the film.
Efron told press that Hairspray was a natural next step in his career. “After High School Musical, there were surprisingly few things except for other teen projects. In fact after High School Musical I didn’t do much of anything at all for about eight months.”
