Sporting a grungy plaid buttondown shirt with rolled-up jean shorts and sandals, Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted out running errands in Hollywood on Wednesday (August 27).
Per the usual, the 22-year-old twin mogul tried to hide her face from the camera while she walked back to her car following a quick stop at a local shop.
While Rihanna was dressing down on the West Coast, Ashley Olsen seemed more interested in piling on the layers in New York City yesterday despite the heat.
The pint-sized actress was spotted leaving a Manhattan Starbucks sporting an unseasonably warm long black coat with a grey top, jeans, and a pair of flip flops as she strolled along with a guy pal.
Offering a rare and typically guarded glimpse into her social life, Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted out and about with her rumored to be boyfriend, Nate Lowman, in New York City on Saturday afternoon (August 16).
For the outing, Miss Olsen was dressed in her usual bohemian style, complete with a plaid grunge shirt tied around her waist.

Mary-Kate Olsen must be giddy with relief after finding out she will not have to answer questions in the Heath Ledger death investigation. So much so that she forgot to block ‘non-friends’ from viewing pictures of some rowdy partying pictures on her Facebook page.
The star is shown in an album of photos partying hard with pals after failing to block users she has yet to befriend on her Facebook.com profile page. According to the New York Daily News, the actress has created a profile under the name Katie Olsen - and the profile is open to anyone in her New York-listed network.
Hopefully they’ll pop up online for the rest of us today. In the meantime check out these oldie but goodie flannel party pictures.
What a jip this story turned out to be. I was gearing up for a Mary-Kate Olsen Federal boot-whooping. Something seems a little off…just days after she was ordered to testify about what she knows about the origin of Heath Ledger’s illegally obtained OxyContin, the case is officially closed.
The feds have closed their probe into Heath Ledger’s death and won’t force the TV twin to tell them what she knows about his prescription drug stash, a source told the Daily News.
Oh well. Karma will get you next time Trollson.

The NYPD may have left Mary-Kate Olsen alone in the wake of Heath Ledger's death earlier this year - but the DEA's coming full steam ahead for the pint-sized actress!
Access Hollywood reports that the Drug Enforcement Agency has issued a subpoena which would force Olsen to testify about her role in the events surrounding Ledger's tragic overdose in January.
Specifically, the feds plan to pump Olsen for information about how Ledger might have acquired certain prescription drugs found in his apartment without a prescription, including the powerful painkiller OxyContin.
The actress' role has been the subject of much debate since it was revealed that Heath's masseuse called Olsen before calling 911 after discovering the actor's body. To make things even more mysterious, recent reports claim that Olsen has refused to speak to the feds unless they guarantee her immunity from prosecution.
Yesterday, Olsen's lawyer told the media that "Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger's home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them."
Calls to the DEA spokesperson were not returned in time for publication.
Guess we'll see just how much Mary-Kate knows once she testifies - unless she starts pleading the fifth, of course!

Full House dad Bob Saget says some of his comedian friends went too far by including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in crude jokes and sexual references during his Comedy Central 'roast' on Sunday night.
The funny man says, "Anybody who talks about my TV kids - that upsets me the most. I am very protective. I love them very, very much."
Interesting note, John "Uncle Jessie" Stamos was the first to hit at the Trolls.
Stamos joked, "The whole time Bob and I were doing Full House, he was also hosting America's Funniest Home Videos. His entire job consisted of saying 'Take a look at this' which is what he used to say to Mary Kate in her dressing room."
Afterward, Stamos reportedly said he has no idea how the Olsen sisters will react, "I truthfully don't know where their sense of humor lies these days. I thought some of [the roast] was a little over the top. They're still my friends. I think [the comics] crossed the line a few times."
Comic Gilbert Gottfried didn't seem to feel bad.
"If you are an Olsen girl, you deserve it. They're going to just have to go home and cry in their billions of dollars," Gottfried commented.

Mary-Kate Olsen, upon advise from her attorney, is still refusing to answer questions about Heath Ledger’s death. Up until now that’s been keeping the Fed’s at bay, but as of yesterday she is officially subpoenaed.
As the investigation surrounding Heath Ledger’s accidental overdose continues, the federal Drug Enforcement Administration office in New York has confirmed to Access Hollywood that they have issued a subpoena that would force Mary-Kate Olsen to testify in front of a grand jury.
Hopefully her suits can ger her immunity deal worked out in time. Of all of the crap trollson has been involved in it would be a shame to go to prison for giving a friend some OxyContin. Yeah, it killed him and all, but geez…how else is a troll supposed to make friends?
After news broke yesterday that Mary-Kate Olsen had been reluctant to speak with DEA officials until they granted her immunity, many assumed that the pint-sized actress had something to hide.
However, her attorney, Michael Miller, has hit out at suggestions that Mary-Kate may have had something to do with the unprescribed Oxycontin found in Heath's system.
"Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger's home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them", said Miller in a statement. He went on to say, "regarding the government's investigation, at Ms. Olsen's request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger's death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed."
I guess we won't really know what the feds want from Mary-Kate until they either grant her immunity or serve her with a subpoena!
We hope they can clear this up soon, Heath's death was such a tragedy and his family deserves to know the truth.

Mary-Kate Olsen (or Mary-Kate Trollsen, as I like to call her) may be headed back to rehab, but this time for addiction problems. MK has been partying like a rock star for the past few months culminating in a recent shocking public drunken collapse.
Star magazine reports that Mary-Kate’s binging started right after the death of “her lover Heath Ledger died tragically from a drug overdose.” MK checked into a holistic health spa to detox after collapsing in a public parking lot last month, but it seems the natural way isn’t working for her. Friends say that MK’s behavior is putting a huge strain on her relationship with her sister Ashley as well. Once inseparable, the Olsen twins are rarely seen together.
“Mary-Kate seriously needs to get to rehab, but she doesn’t think she has a problem,” says a source. “She thinks she’s young, hip and entitled to live her life as she sees fit. But it’s affecting everything.”
Mary Kate Olsen is the cover victim for this weeks publication of Star Magazine. The tabloid says it has a source that claims Mary-Kate is one messy troll and that she’s been partying all the time and binge drinking.

Following one recent night of clubbing in L.A., Mary-Kate was seen collapsed in a public parking lot. The source said shortly after MK visited some holistic spa to detox, but that hasn’t stop her partying ways and fears she is on a destructive path.
Always one to get caught up in the moment, Spencer Pratt has apologized to Mary-Kate Olsen for calling her “the less cute twin.”
“I apologize for getting caught up in trash talking, but she brought up an emotional subject when she mentioned the soccer stuff,” Pratt told press in reference of Olsen telling David Letterman that “The Hills” star used to throw temper tantrums during their high school soccer games.

I didn’t want to mention this because it’s just so damn retarded but Spencer Pratt and Mary-Kate Olsen have been fighting for the past week. It started on the David Letterman Show when Olsen — who went to high school with Pratt — revealed that he had a bad temper (Dave also called him a little “wormy”). In an interview with Us Weekly, Pratt fired back at Olsen calling her a “famous troll” (he’s not lying — the resemblance is uncanny) and the “less cute twin.” Rather than being a recent thing, it looks like the feud between the two stretches all the way back to high school. From a Details magazine article published in March of last year:
“Basically, I made it, like, my mission to try to go on a date with every girl on The Hills,” says [Spencer Pratt] who will proudly tell you he made $50,000 in high school by selling a photo he took of Mary-Kate Olsen drinking at a party. $50,000? Wha . . . how . . . oh, that’s right, people used to care about the Olsen twins. Nowadays you couldn’t get $50k for a picture of Mary-Kate on the grassy knoll firing a shot at President Kennedy. Impossible you say because she wasn’t alive in 1963? Dude, did you not read the last post about Angelina Jolie? The French have a pretty kick-ass time machine now.

Mary-Kate Olsen made a guest appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman last night to do some promo work for her new 90’s nostalgic movie The Wackness. She frankly seemed a little out of it at times blaming fatigue. She di talked about various things including her new movie (which involved kissing scenes with Ben Kingsley) to her advice for Young Hollywood to her former schoolmate Spencer Pratt from The Hills. Mary-Kate told David Letterman that Spencer Pratt has a bad temper. “He does not have a good temper. He would walk off the field,” referring to soccer games in High School. Letterman asked her point blank if they were friends at the time and she replied “No”. Mary-Kate seems regretful that she even started talking about Spencer in a negative way in the first place because she remained mum on spilling any further details the more that David Letterman pressed her. Letterman called Pratt “wormy” and “oily”, but Olsen just giggled and said, “The Wackness is a great film!”
Naturally The Hills’s 24-year-old villain wouldn’t let those remarks slip and felt the need to comment back about his former schoolmate. Spencer told Us Weekly:
“I don’t really get why she’d use my name to get press for her little indie film that no one’s going to see. She should probably focus more on not getting dressed in the dark than on me… I know I’ve made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is talking about me on Letterman”. He added, “I forgive her, though. She’s had to go through life as the less cute twin, which must be tough.”
I think Spencer actually believes he’s the big star. He could have taken it graciously and maybe gotten a few sympathy points but he just couldn’t help being himself (a jerk).
They say this town (Hollywood) is really so small, but who woulda ever made a connection between Mary-Kate Olsen and Spencer Pratt!
MK told David Letterman last night that the two went to high school together, where Spencer often threw a tantrum on the soccer field, walking out on several games.
But when Dave expressed shock that the guy would even break a sweat (cuz no one's surprised that guy has temper tantrums), MK said "oh my God, that brings up stories!"

Everything she touches seems to end up successful and Mary-Kate Olsen’s latest foray into film, “The Wackness,” debuted last night in New York City.

Mary-Kate is also set to make a guest appearance on Christina Applegate’s comedy series SAMANTHA WHO? MK plays a “self-destructive bad girl” in her cameo, but her professionalism on set has been highly praised by the TV show’s executive producer Don Todd. He tells People:
“She showed up alone, ready to work, is great on set and is serious about the job.
“This is a girl who’s been in front of the camera almost literally her entire life. She’s smart, and she knows what she’s doing.”
The NY Post reports that the Olsen twins are just not getting along these days.
Apparently, Mary-Kate and Ashley are doing all their in-person meetings (for their clothing line, Elizabeth and James) separately. "Something happened between them, and they haven't worked it out," a source says. "It's been going on for a while."
Last time we saw the duo together was at the Costume Institute's Gala at the Met in early May... and they looked perfectly happy and bubbly together.

Ashley Olsen and “National Treasure” star Justin Bartha, made their first public appearance together Monday night at the Cinema Society screening of “Trumbo.” The movie about blacklisted Hollywood writer Dalton Trumbo, who penned “Spartacus” and “Roman Holiday.” “They were cozying up together most of the night,” said a NY Post source. Afterwards Olsen and Bartha partied at Tribeca Cinemas with Josh Lucas, Amy Sacco, Kelly Bensimon and her date Maximiliano Palacio, and new lovebirds Joan Allen and Shawn Diamond, who locked lips on the red carpet. Bartha doesn’t have the best ‘dating’ reputation, though, after a breakup with Lydia Hearst in August 2007 led to a screaming match in front of everyone at the “In Style” party during the Oscars in February 2008.

Why prune? Possibly because that’s all Mary-Kate has eaten in the past few years? Maybe the twins should adopt a new smile word, something that wouldn’t make them look like a crazy old bat lady.

I can't stop watching this video and laughing. Not so much because of Mary Kate falling (which is funny all by itself), but mostly because of the pap that's being loud.
I kind of thought he was concerned when he said, "Oh! Watch her, she's falling!" as if she was a toddler about to hit the floor. But then after the twit finally gets into the car he goes, "Yes! I got that shit! Yes!"

Mary-Kate Olsen was out partying with friends in Los Angeles last night. As she prepared to leave and jump in her limousine, it seems as though MK was quite wobbly and ended up falling backward out of the car. But as she’s falling back notice she has a bag with water and perhaps a goldfish in her right hand that she keeps from hitting the ground. Her bodyguard unceremoniously scoops her up and quickly lifts her back inside for a hasty exit. Please note there are paparazzi voices picked up uttering some profanities in the background.

In an interview with Elle magazine, Mary-Kate Olsen tried to explain what exactly goes on in that billionaire's head of hers when she's picking out her outfits. She describes it as "bohemian chic," while most of us prefer to refer to it as "bag-lady chic."
According to the pocket-sized caffeine addict, "I like wearing crazy things sometimes. I like being playful. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing dress-up and becoming a character. It's sort of like an art. It can change your mood or the way that people are attracted to you."
That's a fair enough explanation. Who doesn't wake up in the morning, wanting to look like they're legally blind without their glasses?

Nearly five months after the sad death of Heath Ledger, Mary-Kate Olsen still refuses to say a single word about being the first one called after her friend died.
“I’m not going to comment on that,” Olsen, who turns 22 on June 13, tells Elle in its July issue. “I won’t give you a word about that in the nicest way possible. Let’s move on.”

Wearing a flared, white kimono-style dress with 5-inch gladiator heels, Mary-Kate Olsen headed out for a little pampering in West Hollywood on Friday afternoon (May 30).
The former Full House star popped into the Aurelia Adrian Institut de Beaute, spending nearly an hour in the salon getting a manicure, among other services, before taking off in her ride.
There is major drama in the Olsen twin’s lives. No, not more fighting with their parents – or each other. No bulimia or alcoholism. No rehab. But the twins’ overly-thin lifestyle has really started to grate on some people’s nerves – specifically a barista at their local Starbucks. According to several published reports, the barista claims to have secretly used whole milk in an attempt to fatten up the emaciated starlets.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen better get the skinny on their favorite Starbucks beverages soon! The caffeine addicts always request a Grande nonfat latte from the coffee empire, but a source tells OK! there’s way more to what they ordered.
An ex-barista at the twins’ local Starbucks in their West Village, New York neighborhood made sure that skim milk was not on the menu or in the girls’ cups when they came in. “The barista thought the Olsens were too thin, so whenever they ordered their usual drink, he would replace the skim milk with full-fat!” the source reveals.
However, the Olsens’ rep tells OK!, “This is ridiculous.”

Pretty much every blog picked up this story, which shows you just how desperate we are for Olsen info. I’d like to point out that just because their rep said it’s ridiculous, that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. It’s not like the rep – or even the Olsens – would really know. In fact they are looking slightly less freakishly scary thin. I bet it’s the milk.
The Olsens seem to be making enemies all over the West Village. Turns out, their pissing off their neighbors too.
For the sector of people who care where Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen went after abandoning their overly reported apartment at One Morton Square, we can now disclose that they’re living in a nice brownstone in the West Village.
And it was a few of their neighbors who brought it to our attention. “The bodyguards in their SUVs are always getting in the way of our alternate-side parking routine, said one resident of the 100 block on West 13th Street. “You’d think the president was living here.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard an Olsen twin actually speak – in fact I’m fairly sure they’re both mute – so it’s hard to label them entitled bitches. Though I really want to. But I’ve never really heard them say anything particularly snotty or bitchy.
It doesn’t sound like their bodyguards are doing anything that annoying – it sounds like the neighbor has a problem with the fact that the bodyguards are there at all. I bet the neighbor and the barista are going to get together and hatch some kind of evil, fattening plot to get the Olsens out of the neighborhood. For people that don’t talk, they manage to cause a lot of drama everywhere they go.

Some rumors circulated that the New York Starbucks frequented by the Olsen twins was doing its part to help the waif-like women get some meat on their bones. OK! magazine reported that even though that Mary-Kate and Ashley would order fat-free drinks, however "the barista thought the Olsens were too thin, so whenever they ordered their usual drink, he would replace the skim milk with full-fat."
However, a rep for the twins laughed off the suggestion, claiming the tale was "ridiculous." I think the word the rep is looking for would be "ingenious." Seriously, if it is true, that barista is probably the only reason these girls are still alive. If I worked there, I'd be throwing in melted sticks of butter.

Ever since seeing Ashley Olsen rockin’ the bushy brows and black cutout dress last week I can’t help but think she got the look from Elizabeth Hurley, circa 1994.
Hurley dropped jaws in the daring safety pin Versace dress at the premiere of her then boyfriend’s Hugh Grant’s film, Four Weddings and a Funeral. Ashley resembles Hurley all the way down to the eyebrows. The look certainly might be new for Ashley, but Elizabeth has been there and done that, sister!
