Reese Witherspoon recently mentioned that she keeps her Oscar with her kids’ school crafts. In an interview with E! it’s revealed that she also has multiple outfits for Oscar, including a Santa suit. It’s hard to tell whether she’s teasing or not, because she seems just quirky enough to do it, and I love the idea of matching a statuette’s outfit to the season. There was originally a rumor floating around that her Oscar was also her tree topper, but Reese shoots that one down. Sad.
Reese raved about working with Vince Vaughn, and said he was he reason she wanted to do “Four Christmases.” Which is funny, because they were widely reported to have been at each other’s throats during the film’s entire shoot. However Reese is nothing if not a professional, and clearly not the type to talk smack about people.
When asked who her favorite comediennes are, Reese mentioned that she likes Tina Fey and would love to guest star or “30 Rock.”
Move over, Jen Aniston and Oprah Winfrey.
Reese Witherspoon says she’s wouldn’t mind being the next A-lister to appear on NBC’s 30 Rock.
“30 Rock is awesome,” she tells E! News in a new interview to promote her holiday comedy Four Christmases.
Asked if she could see herself popping up on the show, Witherspoon says, “Oh, sure. Yeah. I love Tina [Fey], and I think she does such a great job, and she really understands comedy for women.”
Witherspoon’s other comedy icons?
“Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig — all those girls on Saturday Night Love,” [sic] she adds. “It’s been such a great year for women to come out.”

Reese would be awesome as a “30 Rock” guest. She was hilarious on “Friends” when she played Rachel’s younger sister. I can’t explain why but I think she’d do a better job than Jennifer Aniston did. Jen’s performance was fine but nothing really memorable. But Reese really throws herself into her roles and is such a perfectionist, and I bet she’d have good chemistry with the cast.

The Academy Awards’ presented it’s annual montage honoring those in the industry who died over the past year (from February 1, 2007, to January 31, 2008). In a somewhat stunning omission, actor Brad Renfro was conspicuously absent from the short memoriam film.
The Oscar telecast is moving full steam ahead. Host Jon Stewart is expected to arrive Saturday (today0 in Hollywood, bringing a busy staff of back-to-work writers for an intensive week of Oscar prep for next Sunday’s show. The Academy also has engaged veteran Oscar scribes Hal Kanter, Buz Kohan, Jon Macks and Bruce Vilanch.
