Hey, he deserves it! Right?
We spotted Michael Phelps (who clearly did NOT wanna be photographed) heading back to his hotel after the VMAs last night... our photog on the scene said the Olympic gold medalist was "having a VERY good time and appeared to have had more than just a couple of drinks."
Clearly he's taking advantage of his newfound fame and partying to the max - both in LA and Vegas! Guess Michael likes rum & cokes just as much as he likes fried-egg sandwiches, chocolate-chip pancakes and pounds (yes, pounds!) of pasta?
And don't forget those energy drinks!
How anyone can consume 10,000 calories a day is beyond me!
Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps is in Vegas this week, and he enjoyed a relaxing day at the pool, as well as the attention of a bunch of bikini-clad women. Rough life!
I like the front view...
...but the back view isn't bad either!
Fleeting fame continues! Michael Phelps, the richly be-medaled Olympian and Ariel the mermaid's half brother, will be making a cameo on HBO's Entourage this season. He could teach Vincent Chase a few things about pulling chicks, I'm sure. You know, when in the confines of a little village in a foreign country.

Is this Photoshopped????
Does it matter???
Michael Phelps (or at least his head) looking smokin' sexy on the cover of some alleged Chinese magazine.

Michael Phelps is everywhere these days!
The Olympic champ looked totally cute and sporty casual as he attended the launch of Tiger Woods' new video game in New York City on Wednesday night.
Then we work our way down to his feet and we see the HOrror.
He's wearing sandals!!!!!
Noooooooooo.
This child must be schooled!!!!
Doesn't he have a gay in his life that can have a talking with him????

With the Olympics taking over the world’s attention, athletes like Michael Phelps and Stephanie Rice have been thrust into the world of super celebrity.
Stephanie was greeted with a pair of commemorative yellow underwear as she arrived back in her native Sydney, Australia earlier today (August 26), having brought home three gold medals.
"To the rest of the world, he's Michael Phelps, the American swimmer who snagged eight gold medals. But for most Chinese here, he's Maikeer Feierpusi." [WSJ]
Michael Phelps and his agent buck Olympic tradition and have made a deal for the record setting swimmer to appear on boxes of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, instead of Wheaties. This decision has every nutritionist in America up in arms about the message this sends to kids. I can just hear some whiny 8 year-old telling asking his mom why he can’t eat the big bowl of sugar for breakfast if Olympics athletes can.
“I would not consider Frosted Flakes the food of an Olympian. I would rather see him promoting Fiber One. I would rather see him promoting oatmeal. I would even rather see him promoting Cherrio’s.” - Nutritionist Rebecca Soloman of Mount Sinai Medical Center.
I’d rather see him promoting oatmeal too, but Quaker doesn’t pay as much as Kellogg’s. Of course at the end of the day it’s the parents responsibility to make sure their kids are eating right, but seeing that perfect Olympic body on the box of something that has as much sugar as a candy bar sure isn’t going to help teach our kids about good nutrition.

I’m really glad Michael Phelps cleared the air about the relationship rumors with Amanda Beard ( ugly).
He politely said on TV’s Extra -”No, I’m not dating Amanda Beard. I’ll say that. I think she has a boyfriend.” However, when Amanda Beard was asked whether she’s kissed Michael Phelps she went for the-”EW!!! NO!!!” approach. Then she actually goes on to say -”C’mon, I have really good taste.”
What the hell’s that supposed to mean? Michael Phelps is absolutely gorgeous. Many think he’s got a butter face but I love his features. He’s got that all American boy look- not fake teeth, fake tan look. Whatever, who needs Amanda anyway?
Michael is estimated to be making $40-100 million in endorsements thanks to his 8 Olympic medals. Humbly Michael says- ” It’s not about the money. I love what I do. The one thing I’m really looking forward to doing is raising the bar in the sport of swimming and promoting it…to get new faces involved in the sport.”
I love you Michael!
Michael Phelps, aka the Beijing Bad-Ass, is of course going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated as soon as they can get the presses rolling. I wonder who’s idea it was to copy Michael’s childhood hero, Mark Spitz 1972 cover? Was Phelps ever born then? Either way I’m glad they did as it the new cover made me search for the old cover and led us to some vintage 1972 mustached Magnum sexiness.
Micheal Phelps says he’s going to buy a house and some boy toys with the $100 million he is expected to earn in endorsement deals. Let’s do the math; 8 Olympic gold medals + lifetime of training = $100 Mil.
Note to the dudes that run SI; You put every hot model you can find in a tiny bikini once a year, you couldn’t have put Michael Phelps into an American flag Speedo for your female readers?
He’s the stud of the 2008 Olympic Summer Games, and Michael Phelps is on top of the world. But that doesn’t mean he wants the media prying into his personal life.
The 8-Gold-Medal-winning swimmer (who will grace the next cover of Sports Illustrated) has been linked to both Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard and model Lily Donaldson, but he’s not talking about which lady has his heart.
Oh HELL YES!!!
This absolutely delicious 23-year-old, Olympic champion Michael Phelps is going to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated tommorow. THANK YOU JESUS! I am so excited to read his interview, see more pictures. However, I am not very pleased by the cover. Why did they have to cover his yummy abs? Why did they have to take away that sexy part of him?
I mean, I love the gold medals and all but I need to see more skin!!!

American swimmer Michael Phelps, 23, made Olympic history yesterday with his eighth gold medals, the most won by an athlete in a single Olympics to date. He’s won 16 medals in his career so far, with six gold and two bronze medals in Athens in 2004 and eight in this year’s Olympics in Beijing. He has seven world records in swimming and has been declared “The world’s greatest athlete.”
Sets goals and achieves them
Phelps represents the power of setting goals and working incredibly hard to achieve them. He said at the beginning of this year’s Olympics “If you dream your biggest dream, anything is possible. No matter what you set your imagination to, anything can happen.”
Eats 12,000 calories a day
All that rigorous training takes tons of calories to fuel, and Phelps has to eat about 5-6 times the amount of food an average person requires to get through the day. While he’s training, Phelps eats about a pound of pasta both for lunch and dinner along with nearly an entire pizza and a couple thousand calories worth of energy drinks.
Right conditions for record-setting
The pool used at the Beijing Olympics meets Olympic standards but is 3 meters deeper and 2 lanes wider than past pools, reducing the turbulence that reaches the surface of the water and allowing swimmers to go faster with less resistance.
Phelps and other Olympic athletes are also wearing the latest high-tech Speedo LZR racer suit, which features “ultrasonically welded” seams and is made of a “paper-thin nylon and Lycra blend.” Phelps has described the suit as feeling “like you are a rocket coming off the wall.”
Up next for Phelps are the 2009 World Championships in Rome. After a record-setting eight gold medals, he says he’s not going to rest on his achievements and that “There are some things I still want to do to raise the bar a bit more in the world of swimming. For me, it’s still work in progress.”
Phelps has the world wide open to him after his amazing accomplishments and he’s sure to get some incredibly lucratice endorsement deals. He’s definitely earned them.
Michael Phelps is shown at the Olympics on 8/12, 8/14, and 8/16. He is shown with his teammates on the gold winning US team in the Men’s 4×100M Medley relay Aaron Peirsol, Brendan Hansen, and Jason Lezak. He is also shown with the other winners in the Men’s 100M Butterfly, bronze winner Andrew Lauterstein from Australia, and silver winner Milorad Cavic from Serbia. Credit: PRPhotos.

A fasicnating week for him, to have won all these races and to be so humble. When interviewed with his teamates for the last relay, he said that it was all about teamwork, all bout togetherness. What an awe inspiring statement. Once again, congrats Michael, you made us all proud.
It’s been quite a ride for USA Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps so far in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, China. And he’s already being called the greatest Olympian of all time.
Earlier today (August 13) the 23-year-old took two more gold medals (his 10th and 11th of his Olympic career) for the 200-meter butterfly and 800-meter freestyle relay.
Does the Times' Play magazine want to marry awesomecredible Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps? Or just perform fellatio on him? We guess both. [NYT]
