We’ve all heard of celebrity 5K runs and various other athletic events to raise money for charity. But today Kelly Ripa unveiled a whole new way to make a difference.
The blonde morning show host was in New York City’s Central Park for the “Live with Regis and Kelly’s” High Heel-A-Thon to benefit the March of Dimes.
One of the reasons Kelly Ripa loves her gig on “Live With Regis and Kelly” is that she gets paid to hang out with studs like Mario Lopez!
On yesterday’s show, Ripa was joined by the former Saved By The Bell hunk and his mother Elvia Lopez for a cooking segment entitled Grilling With the Stars.

Armed with a retractable blue Sharpie marker, Lauren Conrad prepped up for her appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly this morning.
The “Hills” hottie was wearing a black and grey checked full-length coat, along with a pair of black high heels and her usual camera-ready smile.
Ditching his motorcycle helmet for a newsboy cap, Brad Pitt was spotted making his way through a crowd of fans in NYC earlier this morning (December 17).
The Ocean’s Thirteen actor was out in the Big Apple for a pre-taping appearance on Live with Regis & Kelly at ABC studios.
After threatening to kill a reporter at the Emmys, Heroes hottie Hayden Panettiere continued to have problems with the overbearing media during a morning appearance at Regis & Kelly.
Panettiere, whose hit show Heroes’ season two premieres tonight (September 24), resorted to some foul language after paparazzi and fans nearly trampled a young girl trying to catch a glimpse of the star.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Regis Philbin's stint on his morning talk show, former co-host, Kathie Lee Gifford, will be joining her old co-worker as a guest on "Live with Regis and Kelly" next month. Gifford hosted the show with Regis for fifteen years before leaving back in 2000. Since then, former soap actress, Kelly Ripa, was selected as Gifford's replacement.
"Our 20th anniversary is a huge milestone for the show," said executive producer Michael Gelman, who Philbin often likes to include in the improvisational Host Chat segment of the show. "Few television shows reach a year on the air, much less two decades. We're proud that we've been able to bring fun, laughter and a positive start to the day to millions of viewers for so many years."Let's watch as the ladies attempt to out-perk one another, shall we? I have a feeling blood will be shed.
