Britney Spears' life may seem glitzy and glamorous - but according to one of her collaborators, it hasn't gone to the pop princess' head!
Keri Hilson, one of the songwriters working on Brit's upcoming record, characterized working with Britney as being "completely normal" during a conversation with
Extra backstage at
F'N MTV yesterday. "You wouldn't think that - but [she's] very normal," Hilson said. "We just have girl talk and bang out a song, just like any other artist I would work with."
Keri also dished a few details about Brit's next album, confirming that she'd be working with Danja and "the rest of Timbaland's crew", and that she'd already started working with Britney in both Vegas and LA. "I'm excited," she told Extra. "We're going to bang it out this time!"
We're certainly pumped to hear it - after all, the last time Keri and Britney collaborated on a song, they came up with "Gimme More"!

We wanna hear this album
so bad!

OK! must really be getting desperate for stories. Either that or they have some really hot, shockingly implausible gossip. The British version of the mag claims that the US version (yes you read that right) that Britney Spears is finally reuniting with Justin Timberlake to work on a duet for her upcoming album.
The two famously parted ways after Spears cheated on him, which seemed to kickoff her downward spiral. After that she married a guy for 24 hours, then married K-Fed (almost equally ill-advised moves), popped out two kids in rapid succession, divorced K-Fed, and then really went crazy.
Justin has long refused to have anything to do with Britney, wisely realizing that it could hurt his career and his credibility. But according to OK!, he’s finally changed his mind.
Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will reunite to sing a duet for Britney’s newest album. The singer, who recently became an auntie, will get a helping hand from the SexyBack singer, reveals OK! USA exclusively.
Madonna recently revealed she would love to reunite the pair during her world tour. Britney is currently working on her latest album, which is yet to be assigned a release date. Her record label said: “[Britney] is spending her summer in the recording studio, working on a brand new album.”
“She’s working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters and we’re very excited about what she’s accomplished so far.” Britney and Justin met on Disney TV show, The Mickey Mouse Club, in 1993, they started dating in 1998 but split in 2002. It is widely thought that Justin’s singles Cry Me A River and What Goes Around were written about Britney.
[From OK! Magazine UK]
It sounds like OK! is jumping to conclusions based on what they’d like to see happen. It’d be interesting if they recorded together once Britney’s completely got her life together and is back at the top of her game. Anything else will seem like charity. Justin is noted for his perfectionist tendencies, which could lead to a really good song with Brit. But right now she’s still a little out of practice, and it’s probably important that she pick herself up, with the help of family and professionals. Not by being rescued by an ex-boyfriend.

Looks like the Spears family has some big skeletons in their closets.
Like murder!
We're not joking.
It turns out Jamie Lynne' mom killed a young boy years ago.
Accidentally, of course.
The incident happened in Kentwood, LA, back in 1975 when Lynne Spears was 20 years old.
Lynne was driving her brother to the hospital after he'd suffered an injury when she ran over the 12 year old boy on his bicycle.
The National Enquirer has even gotten confirmation that the story is true from Lynn's rep!
A family friend says, “To this day, Lynne hasn’t gotten over what she did. She gets that terrified look in her eye when she is thinking about it. She has told only a few people about the accident and always says, ‘Please don’t think I’m a bad person.’”
The young boy, Anthony Winters, lived along the route Lynne was taking.
Lynne's rep says, "Anthony Winters and his friend were in the road on a curve on a bicycle. As Lynne rounded the curve she could not avoid the boy in the street as there was oncoming traffic in the opposite lane."
Anthony later died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.
Her rep adds, “Lynne realized the boy was struck immediately and to this day is grieved by the Winters’ loss of their son.“
Sad. Sad. Sad.
Poor family.

these pix, and little Sean Preston is
so cute -
not that
Jayden isn't! - we just had to post 'em again!
Just make sure to keep those lighters away from the boys, Brit - even if they're pretty pink ones!
Can't wait to see Brit in a bikini again!

We always knew Britney was a bit wack.
Here she is teaching her child how to smoke! I can hear her now: “Ya’ll gotta inhale deeplay and then ya’ll gotta hold yer breath until yall can’t see no more!”
What an idiot. Right when I was giving her kudos for being clean of irresponsibility, she’s smoking with her children. I thought this Britney Spears bullshit was over. Guess not.
At least K-Fed has custody of the munchkins.

Britney Spears may be focusing on her
career these days - but it's worth remembering that nothing makes her happier than her babies!
Here's a classic shot of Britney and her Jayden in sunnier days - before the
custody battle, before the
conservatorship, before
all that drama. Doesn't she look happy to be spending time with her son? (Then again, who
wouldn't be happy to be photographed with a cutie like Jayden?)
Keep your head up, Britney - you may have given up custody over your boys for now, but in your lawyer's words, there's no such thing as a permanent custody order!
Will the pop princess ever get full custody again? We sure hope so - there's nothing we love to see more than a happy Britney!

So, despite giving up custody to K-Fed, we've already established that our girl Brit looks to be handling it well... just check out
that bod!
The mother-of-two - who attended a
celebrity benefit and picked up her
mom at LAX this weekend - also found time to teach Sean Preston not to pick up a lighter!

It seems he was curious about his mom's pink lighter, so she promptly made sure to move it out of sight. Good idea, Brit!
Kids are interested in the darndest things!

Britney Spears has reportedly recorded seven songs on her next album, that vent at family and those close to her . In a song called “ATM” about all her family members, some of the lyrics suggest their is still some tension with her mom Lynne.
According to the Sunday UK Mirror, the lyrics for “AMT” go: “Hey Mama, I know it’s my cash you seek. You know they treat me like an ATM, but y’all know that I’m too good for ‘em.”
Brit not only targets her family, but apparently she wrote a song about Justin Timberlake called “Already Bad.” The lyrics go, “I know you thought you were the first, but I had already quenched my thirst, I was already bad.”
Sounds like Brit suggests/confirms she wasn’t a virgin (as rumored) when she hooked up with Justin.
An music industry insider said: “The songs are up tempo and there are some wicked heavy beats. She’s built on the foundations she laid in her last album, Blackout.
It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that Britney has a little rage in her heart for what she’s been through in the wake of her breakdown and recovery. Hopefully the song writing will be therapeutic for her and provide the outlet she needs.

Britney Spears shocked the entire world this weekend by showing up (and behaving accordingly) to Jenny McCarthy’s autism charity fundraiser. Britney attended the Generation Rescue event and calmly sipped on red wine as Jim Carey’s daughter Jane sang some Frank Sinatra and Jackson 5 songs.
Despite being her first public outing since handing over custody of her kids to Kevin Federline, witnesses say that she was “definitely looked happpy. She was clapping and smiling a lot.” No outfit changes, no trashy hair extensions, no crotch shots. Is it possible that Britney Spears is finally getting it together?

Hot damn. I forgot how good Britney Spears looked.
And yes, this is a very recent photo of her. She actually looks REALLLLLYYYY good. She attended the Generation Rescue event yesterday in Los Angeles. Her hair finally fits her features and she actually looks like that Britney Spears we all fell in love with! Her outfit isn’t like some crazy Halloween costume. The make-up looks fabulous.
Holy shit..is this the beginning of a comeback?

Making her first appearance at a social event in some time, Britney Spears was on the blue carpet in support of last night’s Generation Rescue benefit fundraiser.
Hosted by Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy, Generation Rescue follows a mission to “continue to discover and share the truth with families about the potential cause of their child’s Neurological Disorders so they can focus on effective treatments.”

Britney Spears may have gotten the
expanded visitation rights with her children she'd been seeking earlier this morning - but her victory comes with a whopper of a price tag!
People reports that one key agreement in Britney and Kevin Federline's custody settlement increases the amount of child support the pop singer must pay her ex-husband by $5000, raising Federline's monthly total from $15,000 to $20,000.
"All Britney was seeking was a formalization of her increased visitation that she's obtained over recent weeks, and the additional overnight," a source told the mag. "She won both of those requests."
And K-Fed won't be the only party getting a payday from the pop princess - the source also tells People that Kevin's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan successfully demanded $250,000 for all his work on the case!
Guess that would explain Kaplan's supremely self-satisfied attitude in his post-court press conference - we'd be cocky too if we had a quarter of a million bucks coming our way!
var x17video_id = "kfederline071808.mp4";
We're a little shocked by this news - after all, didn't Britney already give up
enough?
We're just glad Sean and Jayden will be spared all the ugly legal proceedings!
-

In a somewhat surprising turn of events, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have finally come to a settlement in their long-running custody battle.
According to K-Fed’s lawman Mark Vincent Kaplan, the current arrangement will involve K-Fed taking over the parenting reins, with the “Gimme More” singer having visitation rights.
-
Archive photo
X17online can exclusively report that while Britney and Kevin's lawyers were hashing out a new
custody agreement last night, Britney was at Ben Kitay productions in Hollywood. Photogs say she was at the studio from 9pm until 10:30 at night, auditioning dancers presumably for a music video for her next single!
But as excited as we are for a new Britney album, is this really what she wants or needs right now? According to the
Post, she'd rather concentrate on her acting career, but Jive records and manager Larry Rudolph are forcing her to spend "the summer in the studio, working on a brand-new album"!
Whether she's being "forced" or not, you just know the new video's gonna be hot!
-

Today, Mark Vincent Kaplan is in court finalizing his client's
full custody order (where, our X17online reporter tells us, he's currently with Laura Wasser in the judges private chambers). But last night, cameras caught the infamous attorney outside of STK, where he discussed his client's reaction to Brit's having given up on custody of her small sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
var x17video_id = "kfederline071708cust.mp4";
As he stated previously, the order, which is being finalized today, does anticipate what may happen if Jamie's conservatorship ends on July 31st, so will that be Brit's only hope of regaining custody? Or is this new agreement just a smart way for Brit to get more visitation in giving up custody?
I guess time will tell, but how sad!
-

It’s been a really long year for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.
Finally, after battling for nearly two years for custody of their sons, Sean Preston 2½, and Jayden James 1½, the ex-couple have come to an agreement.
Federline will retain sole custody and Britney will keep her current agreement which allows for two days and one over-night per week.
In a sense it’s a little bit of a shock because Britney has really made an effort to stay out of the limelight and to get well. On the other hand, I think it is a brilliant decision because her mental health and her well being are two things that she needs to work on constantly, and how can you take care of your children if you can’t take care of yourself? I don’t think Britney’s quite there yet - but hopefully she will be, in time.
Brit’s visitation can be amended by a judge - which is what will most likely happen eventually as long as Britney stays on track.
People magazine spoke with a family attorney (who was not involved in this case) who gave her opinion on the future of this case. She said, “Until the kids turn 18, we can expect in years to come that Britney and Kevin will be back in court. Britney will have a better chance of winning more custody once she regains her health. This is just the end of Round One.”

Happier times
Avoiding the stress and media circus surely to surround their upcoming trial, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have settled their custody dispute. Kevin wins! Britney gets visitation but Kevin gets sole legal and physical custody. Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E!:
“Kevin was not [out] to get custody. Kevins goal was to set up some kind of template so the mother of his children can co-parent. He said I need to have Britney to be involved in the coparenting of the kids but I need there to be a structure. Nobody could have anticipated the terms of events that have occurred….This was a two-year journey that will be halted at a point that is good for these children. Custody is always modifiable. If there is a final order, it means there is nothing to try.” (Source)
This is so unfair to Britney. You take your kids hostage *one* time and everybody freaks out. I mean, sheesh, lighten up!

Last night a deal was struck between Britney and K-Fed and Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan announced the pop star would give sole legal and physical custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James to her ex-husband while she maintains visitation rights, according to
Eonline.
So next up -- the conservatorship hearing. Will Jamie be kicked out or will Brit give up on that too and tell the court she needs someone to guide her life? Maybe she does!
Both parties are due in court today to get the deal signed by a judge and then it's done - a two year battle fought half-ass by Brit and now she's pretty much giving up.
Who the hell told her to do this? Is this dad Jamie's advice? Does this mean there's no hope of Britney ever being really "
well" again? How could you give up on your kids unless you were sick???
Kaplan told E!:
"Kevin's was not [out] to get custody. Kevin's goal was to set up some kind of template so the mother of his children can co-parent ... Nobody could have anticipated the terms of events that have occurred....This was a two-year journey that will be halted at a point that is good for these children. Custody is always modifiable. If there is a final order, it means there is nothing to try."
So that's it! It's over!
And what about if Jaime's conservatorship over Brit and her estate ends on July 31 at the next hearing ... or if not, when it ends at some date after that?:
"While I can't tell you the terms, the order does anticipate what happens if the conservatorship is ended," Kaplan told E! News. "The devil is always in the details and this is a very detailed deal memo."
We caught up with Kaplan last night at a press conference STK after he dined and he told us:
"I'm very pleased with the outcome and it sets up a way for both parents to be very involved without subjecting anything to chance in the future."
Video coming soon ...
All this talk about Britney looking better and being healthy ... is it a buncha bull? Is she just hopped up on psych meds 24/7? Poor Brit!!!!

Britney Spears has ended her custody fight with Kevin Federline for Sean Preston and Jayden James according to OK! Magazine.
In an exclusive interview with OK!, Kevin's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says both Britney and Kevin reached and signed off on a settlement in their custody case today.
Kaplan tells OK!, "At about 8 p.m. PT, a final settlement in the Kevin Federline-Britney Spears custody case was signed. All parties have agreed to the following: Kevin will retain sole legal and physical custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James. Britney will continue to have visitation rights which may increase over time. The agreement will be presented to the court in the morning for approval by the commissioner."
It is amazing what 6 months has done for Britney Spears, she went completely nuts to almost normal. Good for her, bad for us.

Britney Spears has agreed to grant sole physical and legal custody of her two children, Sean Preston, who turns three in September, and Jayden James, nearly two, to her ex husband, Kevin Federline, 30. The 26 year-old pop star will receive visitation rights under the new custody arrangement. Both sides have agreed on the settlement but it needs to be approved by the judge, and Kevin and Britney are expected in court this morning. Kevin’s attorney says that it’s a thorough custody statement which also has provisions for when Britney is no longer under a conservatorship by her father. This means that there will be no custody trial as anticipated:
K-Fed’s longtime attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan exclusively tells E! News that the divorced duo have reached a settlement in their long-gestating custody case.
According to the agreement signed by all parties, Federline gets sole legal and physical custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James and Spears will have visitation rights.
“The case has been settled,” Kaplan said. “The court still has to approve it. ” Both parties are due in court Friday morning.
The case had been set to go to trial next month but all had been hoping to settle up beforehand.
“As of this evening there is a fully executed deal memo…All the issues that would have been addressed at trial have been settled,” Kaplan told E! News. “Can’t speak to the exact terms of the deal. Orders in place…will stay in place.”
But although this is theoretically good news for Federline, Kaplan maintains that this isn’t exactly what his client had in mind.
“Kevins was not [out] to get custody. Kevins goal was to set up some kind of template so the mother of his children can co-parent,” Kaplan said.
“He said I need to have Britney to be involved in the coparenting of the kids but I need there to be a structure.”
But this is the structure he got and “Kevin is absolutely delighted,” Kaplan continued.
“Nobody could have anticipated the terms of events that have occurred….This was a two-year journey that will be halted at a point that is good for these children. Custody is always modifiable. If there is a final order, it means there is nothing to try.”
Spears has been enjoying monitored visits with her boys since late February after temporarily losing any on-hand-mommying privileges following a stretch of noticeably erratic behavior on her part and two brief hospital stays.
Federline’s camp has credited the influence of Spears’ father Jamie, who was appointed a coconservator of his daughter’s estate Feb. 1, for helping to get the 26-year-old popster back on track.
A court commissioner is scheduled to review whether the make the conservatorship permanent at the end of this month. If the arrangement were to end, what then happens to Spears’ current deal?
“While I can’t tell you the terms, the order does anticipate what happens if the conservatorship is ended,” Kaplan told E! News. “The devil is always in the details and this is a very detailed deal memo.
“Nobody can predict what the future will bring but …to the extent possible I think we have really anticipated how to proceed.”
[From E! Online]
It’s been a long and expensive custody process for Britney and Kevin, with Britney responsible for paying most of the legal bills for both sides. It’s very likely that the total legal bills have exceeded half a million considering that Britney paid $375k to K-Fed’s lawyers way back in March. This has to be a welcome but bittersweet settlement for Britney. She’s finally back on track after all her problems earlier in the year, many of which were exacerbated and arguably caused by Sam Lutfi drugging her for months against her will. She gets to see her boys again but it will never quite be the same after what she went through. Hopefully for Britney it’s enough and she’ll be able to continue healing and working toward sobriety and a stable life with her children.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have reached a settlement in their long custody case.
According to the agreement signed by all parties, Federline gets sole legal and physical custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James and Spears will have visitation rights.
“The case has been settled,” Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said. “The court still has to approve it. ” Both parties are due in court Friday morning.
The case had been set to go to trial next month but all had been hoping to settle up beforehand. If Britney did goe to trial, it would have been a big gamble, she could have won more time with her kids, or she could lose what’s already in place, due to her conservatorship situation.
Spears has had monitored visitation with her sons twice a week with one overnight. In January, after a forced hospitalization at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Spears lost all visitation rights with her kids until the following month. Spears will likely get increased visitation as time goes on as long as her health and behavior continue to warrant it. For now, Brit will get an additional overnight by year’s end, barring any setbacks.
Kaplan told E! News: “As of this evening there is a fully executed deal memo…All the issues that would have been addressed at trial have been settled. Can’t speak to the exact terms of the deal. Orders in place…will stay in place.”
But although this is theoretically good news for Federline, Kaplan maintains:
“Kevins was not out to get custody. Kevins goal was to set up some kind of template so the mother of his children can co-parent,” Kaplan said.
“He said I need to have Britney to be involved in the co-parenting of the kids but I need there to be a structure.”
But this is the structure he got and “Kevin is absolutely delighted,” Kaplan continued.
A court commissioner is scheduled to review whether the make the conservatorship permanent at the end of this month. If the arrangement were to end, the settlement order does anticipate what happens if the conservatorship is ended, though no details were divulged.
Update: Settling out of court turned out to be a big wind fall for K-Fed and his lawyer. Kevin gets $20,000 a month in child support. He used to get $15,000 a month. K-Fed’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan will also get $250,000 from the bank of Britney for his work on the custody case.

Madonna may be getting predictable with her
daily routine - her kids head out for the day with the nanny and bodyguards while the Material Girl, as seen above today, gets chauffeured around New York - but the same cannot be said for her ideas regarding the upcoming "Sticky & Sweet" world tour!
Britney Spears already
shot a video for it, but will she
also be reuniting with ex Justin Timberlake on
stage?
The Sun reports that Madonna's dream is to have the former couple (Justin worked with Madonna on her Hard Candy album, and Brit sang with Madonna for the song "Me Against the Music") appear on the same stage together in Miami in November - her final U.S. show.
"Madonna is always trying to raise the bar and Britney and Timberlake on the same stage would be perfect," a source says. "They have both been asked but I think both are a bit reluctant... more likely is that they both appear on different dates."
Think this'll really go down? That'd be nuts! But hey, as the source adds: "If anyone can make this happen, it’s Madonna."
True that!
(Check out the gallery below of Madonna and her kids in NYC today!)
