We've known about Taylor for a while, but up until a few weeks ago, we thought she was just another pretty face/voice. After the country cutie vented to the media about Joe Jonas breaking up with her via a 27 second phone call, we began to notice that she had some spunk! Taylor chatted about the split just long enough to get her point across, and then she showed everyone that the absolute best revenge is having a number one album and looking super hot on the red carpet!

Country star Taylor Swift has announced that she's donating $100,000 to the Cedar Rapids, Iowa branch of the Red Cross.
Two months ago, Cedar Rapids suffered millions of dollars in damages and thousands of job losses at the hands of what is called "Iowa's Katrina". Torrential rains caused the Cedar River to swell and submerge the town.
A source close to the singer said, "Taylor was going to cancel the concert, thinking few people could attend, but the mayor of Cedar Rapids asked her to carry on."
Swift says, "The people in this town have been through so much loss this year, and my heart goes out to them. They've stood by me, they gave me a sold-out show. You've got to pay it forward in life – that's all I did in Cedar Rapids."

Liz Put On Life Support?

Looks like Liz Taylor's condition has taken a turn for the worse - it's being reported that the silver screen legend was put on life support last night!
The Enquirer reports that Liz - who was hospitalized earlier this month when a case of the flu turned into pneumonia - suffered congestive heart failure last night and had to be hooked up to a machine. Doctors were even warning her children that she might not make it through the night!
Thankfully, Liz' condition improved admirably; by the end of last night she was back to breathing without medical help. A source confirmed to the Enquirer that Liz was "past the crisis", but pointed out that the actress was still quite ill.
"The doctors thought they were going to lose her," the source said.
Thank goodness that didn't happen - we don't want to think of what the world would be like without Liz!

The Daily Mail is reporting that The National Enquirer is reporting that Dame Elizabeth Taylor is not doing well after being hospitalized for pneumonia.
Elizabeth Taylor was put on a life support machine after suffering congestive heart failure, it was reported this evening.
The 76-year-old's condition was said to have deteriorated after she was initially diagnosed with pneumonia last week.
Her children were at her bedside and doctors warned she might not survive, said the U.S. publication National Enquirer.
Health fears: Elizabeth Taylor was reported to be 'still very sick'
But the following day she improved and the dual Oscar winner was breathing without medical help last night.
A source said: 'The doctors thought they were going to lose her. She's still very sick, but she's past the crisis.'
When it comes to The National Enquirer being a source the negative is that they are normally right on when celebrities are sick like Patrick Swayze and Farrah Fawcett, but the positive is that they exaggerate their conditions. So let's hope that is the case now, but until we know exactly how she is doing pray for her. Dame Elizabeth Taylor is a fighter, so let's pray she wins this fight!!!
UPDATE: Her publicist issued this statement!!!
"Ms. Taylor is fine. Her hospital visit was precautionary. She will be returning home shortly. At present, she is surrounded by family, friends and fabulous jewels."

The first country artist to co-host the popular MTV series, TRL, Taylor Swift kicked off taping on Monday (June 16) with the series expected to wrap up on Thursday (June 19).
Along with her co-hosting duties, the 18-year-old Pennsylvania native will also be performing some of her hit songs including “Our Song” and “Picture to Burn”.

Just thought I'd throw in a couple extra "hot"s to really get the point across!
Hollywood Life Magazine threw a party to celebrate their 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards where every winner was either super-hot, super-cool or both. In addition to stars like Brittany Snow, Anna Faris, Abigail Breslin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Donald Sutherland (huh?), country music singer Taylor Swift also made an appearance to pick up her Superstar of Tomorrow Award.
She totally looks like a vixen in these pix, but she's actually very sweet in person! When asked how old she thinks you have to be to no longer be considered "young" in Hollywood, she responded with "21" - then quickly changed her answer to "50!"
Ah well, can't win 'em all!
And here's Amber Heard. She might be famous, like, next year.
