Part of the fun of being an actor is getting to work with some seriously fun costars. And earlier today Elisha Cuthbert, Tim Allen, and Jenna Elfman were spotted having a great time on the set of their new movie “The Six Wives of Henry Lefay.”
The “24” blonde bombshell looked cute and conservative in a black jacket/skirt combo teamed with a pair of black high-heeled boots as she laughed in between takes.
Though she hasn’t taken a walk down the aisle herself, Elisha Cuthbert looked convincing enough as a blushing bride on the set of her new movie yesterday (November 17).
The “Girl Next Door” knockout donned a full white bridal gown as she sashayed around the dance floor with co-star Tim Allen while filming scenes for “The Six Wives of Henry Lefay.”
Jennfier Lopez was all set to guest judge the season finale of Project Runway this week until she injured her foot. Yes, that’s right. Her foot. How would that keep her from judging some dresses walking down the runway, I don’t know. But I’m glad she’s out because that means Tim Gunn is in.
The fabulously fabulous Tim Gunn has stepped up and will for the first time in the show’s history judge the contestants designs. That’s what I call Making It Work Project Runway!
At left is the cover of the July issue of the conservative monthly magazine Newsmax. Notice anything collar-looseningly embarrassing about it? Not to worry! Despite featuring the late Tim Russert as the primus inter pares of electoral opinion-makers, Newsmax assures its readers that it had no choice but to run with the graphic as is because the book had already shipped by the time of the "Meet the Press" anchor's passing. Such are the pitfalls of old media publishing cycles. Though it doesn't mean he can't still be a good posthumous marketing tool: "In this Newsmax Special Report, 'The Power and the Glory,' we reveal the media talking heads — people like Russert — who are exerting tremendous influence this election year. Nobody exemplified this media power better than Russert." Fortunately, the press release ran on the Newsmax website, so altering the original clause —"Among the bigmouths who have hijacked our democracy" — was the work of a mere keystroke.

Well, let's face it, it was an extraordinary situation. Several boxes of the July issue had just arrived in our office, and I was sitting in a conference room with our graphics department, discussing some designs I hoped to implement in the months ahead. It was, I think, some four hours since our in-office supply of bound books had appeared here in West Palm Beach, when suddenly word came that Russert had died. An executive editor poked his head into the conference room and made the announcement. Of course I immediately figured it was a bad, somewhat distasteful joke. I think blood quickly drained from my face, Jeff, as I realized this was largely unprecedented — and somewhat spooky — territory. The magazine had already shipped, darnit. It had just shipped, in fact. We could not modify the covers — not the ones going to subs, not the ones traveling to newsstands. The book was on its way to readers ... with Russert on the cover, and nothing could be done to avert an, uh, awkward situation. At least, thank goodness, we were singing Tim Russert's praises, essentially calling him the most influential political pundit/reporter on TV. The next issue of Newsmax (August) will include a paragraph in which we explain to our readers what had happened. And of course we say that Russert's presence will be missed as we move deeper in the presidential election season.

But Newsmax isn't alone in featuring a person on its cover who gave up the ghost just as the issue was hitting newsstands. Parade famously ran an interview on Dec. 21 2007 with Benazir Bhutto, who was assassinated on Dec. 27. More chilling was what Bhutto told her questioner Gail Sheehy: ""I am what terrorists most fear, a female political leader fighting to bring modernity to Pakistan. Now they're trying to kill me."
What other inadvertently posthumous cover stars can you think of? (Rolling Stone's legendary naked-Lennon-curled-around-Ono cover was photographed by Annie Leibovitz the morning Lennon was killed, but that only added poignancy to the accompanying story, which of course reflected his death.)
So the guy who posted early news Tim Russert's death to Wikipedia? He's been fired by the NBC News Web contractor that employed him, because the network had been trying to notify Russert's family before breaking the news. In fact, according to the Times, the network waited roughly an hour before putting word of the Meet The Press host's passing on-air and was "flabbergasted" to see it on Wikipedia. The "junior-level employee" who posted the information did not know the news was being kept quiet. But it's still hard to have any sympathy — he or she worked for a contractor that does newsgathering and publishing on behalf of a broadcast journalism organization. The employee had no business spending time writing for any site that didn't belong to NBC News. [Times]

Tim Russert is dead. While working at NBC’s Washington bureau today, the Meet the Press host suffered a heart attack. He was 58.

They’ve been able to get past the pomp and circumstance of celebrity life in order to maintain an amazing marriage, and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill looked more in love than ever at the CMT Awards last night.
The “This Kiss” babe looked stunning in a flowy black shirt and form fitting black trousers along with a pair of peep-toe high heels and a sexy updo.
Lifetime released a statement today announcing that the hit reality Project Runway will shift from the NBC-owned cable station Bravo to the '#1 network for women.' Lifetime will have rights to the program starting with season 6 in November.
That means there will be one more season on Bravo before the move.
NBC has quickly reacted, filing a suit against the company that owns the show, the Weinstein Company. They claim they had a deal with the company which was not honored, and resulted in the loss of the show.
Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn have both made deals and will be making the network move. Both released statements with Heidi saying, 'Fashion is about change, so we're looking forward to saying hello to Lifetime, our new fashionable home for our fashionable series.' Tim Gunn added, 'Lifetime and I will definitely 'make it work' together.'
Judges Nina Garcia and Michael Kors are still in talks to remain a part of the show.
Will the move be good for ProjRun? I'm not sure. I think many agree with me that this past season wasn't nearly as good as previous ones -- but then again, the show did get its highest ratings yet.
NBC Universal must have crapped bricks when they found out they lost their cable darling. Someone made a big mistake on that account, and the network is trying to save their asses by clinging to a court case.
My bet is that they'll be auf'd.

In town for Country Music's Biggest Night, Nashville natives Faith Hill and Tim McGraw left the Levi's behind for one night as they hit LA hotspot Koi.
Since there were no "jokey" angry reactions to Carrie Underwood's win, and no "gropey" fans to contend with, the most interesting thing about this pair was the fact that without his infamous cowboy hat on, you can actually see Tim's thinning hair.
He's still sexy enough to try to cop a feel on, though!
Faith's face is gorge, but that dress is ill-fitting with weird tassels and a boob-flattening effect.

All of us here in the United States have had our chance to check out Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street by now. But the Japanese are just getting started.
Johnny Depp made a trip to the Japanese capital city of Tokyo today (Tuesday, although they’re time zones ahead of us) for the Sweeney Todd Premiere.
What could be a better Christmas present than a new baby girl? Nothing! Just ask director Tim Burton and his girlfriend, actress Helena Bonham Carter, who just welcomed their new daughter this past weekend.
The couple’s spokesperson reported to the public, “They are absolutely delighted they have a daughter. It’s a lovely Christmas present for the family.”
Perhaps they were twins by different mothers? But Helena Bonham Carter is convinced that her life partner and father of her 1.5 children Tim Burton, is in love with her because she is a female version of his longtime pal Johnny Depp. Helena who is expecting a second child with Burton, and known to be eccentric insists she and Depp, who co-star in the director’s new Sweeney Todd musical, share looks and character traits.
Helena explains,
“We have the same frown line and there’s certain similarities between the two of us, according to Tim - we always like to camouflage ourselves to the hilt when it comes to playing parts and we both loathe watching ourselves.
“And we’re both pale and tubercular and have big eyes. Tim’s always said we would be great in a silent movie. I think he definitely thinks I should’ve been in a silent movie because I talk too much.”

London is fast becoming the little brother to Los Angeles when it comes to paparazzi activity. And last night the shutterbugs grabbed some pics of Johnny Depp dining out with Tim Burton and wife Helena Bonham Carter at the Cipriani restaurant.
The “Nightmare Before Christmas” director and his “Fight Club” wife were both dressed in black ensembles, with Helena wearing a pink garment over top her black dress. She’s pregnant with Tim’s second child, due next month.
With his longtime partner Vanessa Paradis being spotted at a Holiday tree lighting ceremony in Paris yesterday, it’s only appropriate of Johnny Depp to take the free time to get in a little Christmas shopping. And that’s exactly what the Pirates of the Caribbean actor decided to do.
Johnny and longtime director pal Tim Burton were spotted out on Monday shopping at London’s Forbidden Planet, which “houses the finest in movie and gaming memorabilia / paraphernalia you’re likely to find anywhere in the world.”
The Venice Film Festival is such a momentous occasion. And this year, Tim Burton was awarded a career Golden Lion award for his accomplishments in film.
Most appropriately, Johnny Depp, a frequent leading man in Burton’s films, was chosen to present the director with his award. He told press, “It’s a very big honor to present Tim with this award. He is my favorite director and a very close friend.”
Kidding. This is Johnny Depp presenting a lifetime achievement award to best bud, Tim Burton at the Venice Film Festival. Tim was honored for his many contributions to the cinemative landscape over the years, such as "Ed Wood", "Batman", "Big Fish". You name it. If it was quirky, turned on the Goth kiddies, and had incredibly annoying Danny Elfman music in it - it's Tim Burton's.
"I'm very honoured," said Burton, 49. "It means a lot to me. Hopefully it just inspires me to keep going."He told Reuters: "You grow up in Hollywood and that whole scenario and what you feel here is that there is just passion about movies. So that's what makes it special to me - it's not about business, it's not about finance, it's about just the love of movies."

I need "Project Runway" like Amy Winehouse needs a rail to blow. Tim lets us in on how he felt about some of the past contestants and what this season is going to be like. I'm sweaty over this. Jesus, I love that show.
