Uma Thurman braved the windy streets of NYC the other day with a bare face and a few pals. The bride looks like she could use a scarf and maybe even some self tanner!

But we still love her!
First comes love, then comes marriage and you know the rest. Uma Thurman became engaged to financier Arki Busson in late June of this year. Now reports are circulating that Thurman is pregnant, of course. The evidence is pretty circumstantial but my gut feeling is it could be true.
According to a NY Daily News source, last week, Uma’s assistant called her usual Fred Segal shop and ordered a half dozen dresses.
The source says, “They were all two sizes larger than she usually orders.”
Could she be putting on weight (for an acting role perhaps)? We don’t think so!
Uma’s finace Busson, has two children with supermodel Elle Macpherson.
This will be the third marriage for Uma who has two children with second husband Ethan Hawke (Her marriage to actor Gary Oldman ended in 1992.)
Now that Uma Thurman’s engaged to be married to Swiss multimillionaire Arpad “Arki” Busson, she says that she’s definitely open to the idea of having more children. The actress, 38, already has two children with her ex-husband Ethan Hawke (Maya, 10 and Levon, 6).
When interviewed for the September issue of InStyle, Thurman says that having children is “the greatest gift I’ve ever been given.”

Congrats to Kill Bill star Uma Thurman - the Daily News is reporting that the actress has finally confirmed her engagement to financier Arpad "Arki" Busson!
A friend of Uma's family confirmed to the Daily News that "it's a done deal. They're already planning the wedding."
Rocking Uma's World
Busson reportedly presented Thurman with a truly extravagant engagement ring earlier this week. Friends describe Uma's rock as being so big "she can't fit it through the sleeve of her coat."
And apparently that's only a slight exaggeration - a spy spotted Uma at Elton John's White Tie and Tiara benefit last night and reported that "all the ladies' eyes were buggin' out"!
Bonding Over Tragedy
According to friends, Uma and Arki got together after commiserating over their struggles to see their children from previous relationships - hers with former husband Ethan Hawke, his with former fiancee Elle Macpherson.
"Uma was dealing with visitation issues with her two kids with Ethan," a friend tells the Daily News. "Arky [sic] was going through the same thing with Elle. They bonded."
And it sounds like the bond they've formed is serious - in fact, one family friend told the paper that the couple is "already planning the wedding"!
"Uma is hoping this time, it's really love," says the friend. "Everyone wants the best for her. And Arki is a really sweet guy."
Calls to Thurman's publicist were not returned in time.
Of course, we're thrilled for Uma and Arki - we wish you two all the best!

Uma Thurman, 38, is engaged to long-time boyfriend, financier Arpad Busson. Busson reportedly surprised Thurman with the ring this week in London, where the couple attended a star-studded 90th birthday party for Nelson Mandela. “It was a really old-fashioned romantic gesture,” said a friend.
“Everyone is so happy for Uma after what she went through with that stalker,” added the pal, referring to Thurman’s recent court ordeal with obsessed fan Jack Jordan. “Arki is a guy who can take care of her.”
Thurman showed off the flashy engagement ring Thursday night at Elton John’s British manor house, where he’s throwing his 10th White Tie and Tiara benefit.
Busson, 45, in heads the EIM investment company, which manages assets of over $13 billion, according to the company. He has raised millions for children at risk through his Absolute Return for Kids charity.
Busson, who has two children with supermodel Elle Macpherson who was also at Elton’s party.
The couple hit it off last year at a dinner in Milan. Uma was coming off a three-year relationship with hotelier Andre Balazs.
She was also feeling the aftershocks of her divorce from cheating second husband Ethan Hawke. (Her marriage to actor Gary Oldman ended in 1992.
“Uma was dealing with visitation issues with her two kids with Ethan,” said a friend. “Arky was going through the same thing with Elle. They bonded.”

Uma Thurman's stalker, who tormented her for two years with threats to both her and her children, is now looking at some prison time after a jury found him guilty. And it's not Ethan Hawke. The dude in question is a former mental patient and it was after Thurman's testimony that jurors became convinced that Jack Jordan had gone too far with his obsession with the 6-foot actress.
On the stand, Uma told the jury of numerous occasions in which she received messages from Jordan containing creepy come-ons as well as ominous references to her children. One particularly chilling incident Thurman recounted took place when Jordan approached her movie trailer on the set of a movie she was filming and handed her a card that read, "My hands should be on your body at all times."
Ewww, that's so creepy. Unless he would have been a hot guy. That's when it changes from being "stalking" to "seduction." Nobody likes hearing shit like that from a guy who's not particularly cute

Uma Thurman’s stalker Jack Jordan has been found guilty in a jury trial in NYC. You got to watch ou for guys carrying backpacks wherever they go. Stalker Jack has been harassing Uma for the past 3 years. He has relentlessly shown up to her house and movies sets. He’s also made phone calls sent e-mails, and rang her doorbell at all hours and threatening to kill himself if he couldn’t meet her.
Uma’s parents testified that Jack called them up in tearful, suicidal rants directed at their daughter.
Uma testified that Jack once sent a drawing of an open grave, a headstone and a man standing on the edge of a razor blade. A spiral of random words referred to “chocolate, mouth, soft, kissing” and declared, “My hands should be on your body at all times.”
Not exactly a Hallmark card.
Uma said of the note, which was on a religious confirmation card:
“I was completely freaked out,” “It was almost like a nightmare. It was scary.”
Jack’s lawyer said that he “fell in love” with Uma while watching a scene in “Kill Bill.” He said, “He’s trying to get to the woman he loves — although it’s an obsession — in the hope that she will love him back. Jack Jordan is not charged with obsession. Obsession is not a crime.”
However harassing and terrorizing is a crime. The lovesick former mental patient faces up to a year and 90 days in jail. Seems like a very short sentence for an unrepentant stalker.
Statuesque actress Uma Thurman testified in Lower Manhattan court yesterday against her alleged stalker. Jack Jordan, 37, is being tried on charges of misdemeanor stalking and aggravated assault. He reportedly sent Uma some creepy notes and was arrested in October 2007 after trying to follow and make contact with her from 2005 on. Go away, scary man!
His defense lawyer attempted to make it out like Jordan was just some putz in love who didn't know how to handle his emotions.
"Creepy? Yes. Obsessed? Yes. Criminal? No," the defense lawyer told the jury.
If I was the prosecutor, I would turn to the jury and say four words: "Rebecca Schaeffer. Theresa Saldana." And then sit down. For real, you can't not take people who don't respect boundaries seriously. I know those were 80s cases, but we haven't had a creepy stalking attack in awhile and we're unfortunately probably due for one.
Uma spoke about how she felt when she learned that Jordan might have tried to break into her trailer on the set of My Super Ex-Girlfriend in 2005. And what it was like getting creepy missives from him.
She said she was "completely freaked out" by a card, from Jordan via her assistant, in which Jordan wrote that "my hands should be on your body at all times." GUILTY! Next!

In what was a far cry from the glitzy movie premieres and luxurious vacations that she’s used to, Uma Thurman appeared in a Manhattan courtroom today to confront the man who has been allegedly stalking her.
The “Pulp Fiction” actress took the stand in the trial of Jack Jordan, a 37-year-old Maryland man who was discovered and arrested last Fall outside Uma’s Greenwich Village home. And as she recounted the events of the past few years involving Jordan, she never once made eye contact with him.

Uma Thurman is being oh-so-mysterious when chatting about the next installments of the Kill Bill series, which include two new anime films intended to explain the history of the characters of The Bride and Bill. Uma's saying that her voice was never recorded for use in the animated bits. Either she's telling the truth, when she claims, "It has nothing to do with me," or she's doing her best to keep Quentin Tarantino's latest project a secret until its release.
Thurman explained of the Beatrix Kiddo storyline, "Right now he's putting the two films together with an intermission with an added anime sequence he had already written." Honestly, understanding exactly what it is that's being shown sounds to me almost as circuitous as the premise of Kill Bill itself. All I know for sure is that I like this haircut of hers.

Even though Uma Thurman is known for her acting talent and unique beauty she admits she still feels like she’s the goofy looking kid she once was.
She says, “I had baby fat and a big nose, big lips and big eyes that looked like they were taped to the side of my head. I was tall, really young and I had a funny name. I had not grown into my features. I was just trying to make it from history to English class and still feel good.”
She says her looks made her more ambitious to succeed.

In the romantic comedy, Uma's character has to decide between a New York firefighter and her fiance, played by Englishman Colin Firth. The premiere was also a fundraising event for the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.

Apparently, she's some maniac who was on the British "Big Brother." Suffice to say that I think it's only appropriate that a pregnant woman should be be standing in front of something that reads, "The Accidental Husband."

Last night in New York City, the Independent Feature Project held the 17th annual Gotham Awards. The year’s best indie flicks were recognized, and plenty of stars showed up to see who won.
