Stepping out for the day, Kate Winslet was spotted hailing a cab in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan on Monday (November 3).
The award winning actress is currently enjoying a little downtime before she gears up to promote “Revolutionary Road” alongside co-star Leonardo DiCaprio in a few short months.
She’s been making quite a name for herself thanks to her hit CW show 90210. And last night Shenae Grimes was busy mingling at the Vanity Fair Portraits: Photographs 1913-2008 Exhibit Grand Opening.
The brunette beauty was turning heads left and right in an outfit consisting of a white button-up shirt with a white scarf teamed with a black high-waisted skirt, black socks, and black lace-up boots.

Arriving in Sevilla with her young daughter Valentina, Salma Hayek was spotted out attending a Vanity Fair party on Thursday afternoon (September 18).
The “From Dusk Til Dawn” actress carefully held her little girl in her arms as she exited her ride, then passing Valentina off to a female companion as she passed by photographers staking out the entrance.
It's bad enough that 500 bloggers are wasting time and energy "covering" the pointless media spectacle of the upcoming political conventions. Can't tightly-orchestrated pageantry and vacant messaging be left for the television networks and political trades while top bloggers find important actual news that would otherwise go ignored? Apparently not. But the bloggers are making themselves look even more silly and co-opted by accepting a package of goodies, and an embarrassingly nerdy one at that. Reports the Wall Street Journal:
Not only will bloggers have Internet access, workspaces and couches for napping in the "Big Tent" headquarters, they will be provided food and beverages, Google-sponsored massages, smoothies and a candy buffet. On the final night of the convention, Google is co-sponsoring a bash with Vanity Fair magazine for convention-goers and journalists that has become one of the hottest party invites.
A candy buffet — that's so perfect. Perhaps it could be located in a mocked-up "Parents' Basement" zone to make the bloggers feel just slightly more condescended to.
And a fancy Vanity Fair party. Welcome to the Establishment!
Granted, the bloggers each paid $100 for access to their "Big Tent," but that just makes their participation a waste of time, energy and money. And, as the Journal said, Google is still sponsoring many perks, so it's not like the $100 buys a claim on total independence. (If you don't think bloggers can be bought with candy and massages, you just haven't met that many bloggers!)

It was all about style at the big Vanity Fair party last night in Beverly Hills, California hosted by Louis Vuitton. And stars like Emmanuelle Chriqui, Amy Adams, Emma Roberts, and Angie Harmon all showed up looking glamorous.
“Entourage” hottie Emmanuelle Chriqui was turning heads as she arrived, sporting a gold v-neck top paired with a yellow beaded skirt and some shiny black high heels.
Everyone is entitled to their fair share of mistakes, especially at a young age. And Miley Cyrus recently opened up about the whole Vanity Fair photo scandal from earlier this year.
The “Hannah Montana” babe told press, “I was embarrassed… but also it’s like, every career thing that I do can’t be perfect, and sometimes my decisions are wrong.”
Continuing to land herself in controversial situations, Disney tween queen Miley Cyrus is upset and apologetic over a racy photo shoot taken by famous photographer Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair magazine.
The 15-year-old Hannah Montana star told press that she’s amazed the topless shots of her draped in a blanket made it into the magazine.
Oh yes, that's Amy Poehler totally copping a feel off Tina Fey's boob, while Sarah Silverman gazes wistfully off into the distance. These funny ladies of television are gracing the cover of Vanity Fair's latest issue, hoping to debunk the myth that women can't possibly be as funny as their male counterparts.
Accompanying the photos shoot is an piece by Alessandra Stanley, and chatted with each of the ladies for the piece. When talking with Tina Fey, the former head writer of Saturday Night Live said that the idea that women are genetically incapable of being amusing still persists, "You still hear it," she says. "It's just a lot easier to ignore."
But what can't be ignored is how great these pictures are. Down below is a group shot featuring (from left to right) Sandra Bernhard, Chelsea Handler, Jenna Fischer, Sarah Silverman and Wanda Sykes looking like the kind of ladies I'm used to writing about on a regular basis and who consistently make me laugh...but not on purpose necessarily.
