Today the women of The View dressed up their favorite President and all I can think is the ones that they are dressed up as are all turning over in the graves. Bill Clinton is going to be on The View! Which is, probably, a terrible idea? Or maybe not, who knows! He's going to talk about the Clinton Global Initiative, which is what he always is supposed to be talking about, but we imagine the conversation will turn crazy, because it is The View. Will Elisabeth Hasselbeck throw a fit of some kind, or embarrass herself? Yes. Actually the only real question is whether Whoopi and Joy will be sycophantic, because he is a respected Democratic former president, or sassy, because he is a philandering horndog. Bill will probably be gracious and charming. Because they're ladies. It's airing Monday! So you have all weekend to ponder how this insane television show became an important part of the national conversation. [UPI]

A conversation about Roe v Wade (I will not get started on that because that case should never be overturned) led to Whoopi Goldberg asking Jon McCain if she should be worried about be being a slave? And Barbara Walkers responded by saying to Whoopi and Sherri, don’t worry “Us White people” will take care of you. Wow is all I can say.
Barbara Walters has a new feud on her hands and this time it is with the Executive Producer of Ghost Whisperer according to The New York Post. James was on The View July 7th to promote his book Ghost Among Us and warned her during a commercial break that he sensed something wrong with her blood.
"He said, 'I need to talk to you . . . There's something wrong with your blood.' Then he said, 'There's also something wrong with your lower back.'
"He said it could be an infection."
The news prayed on her mind, even though "I'm skeptical and Mr. Van Praagh knows it," she said.
"I'm obsessing, the white blood cells, blah-blah," so she went for some tests, she said on the show.
"Well, today I got the report. I am absolutely normal!" she said.
"I think it's a dangerous thing to do!" she said of Van Praagh.
Van Praagh was stunned and, he says, hurt when he saw the show.
"I felt obliged to privately acknowledge to Barbara Walters that I was sensing an abnormality with her white cell count," he told The Post over the weekend, "And even though it might not be present at the moment, she should be aware of it and keep an eye on it.
"I am sorry that Ms. Walters chose to publicly disparage me and do hope that the goodwill I demonstrated during the show is not belittled by her misinterpretation of my work."
And, oh yes, he added, "You don't have to be a psychic to know why Star [Jones] and Rosie [O'Donnell] left the show!
"I felt darts being thrown all around," Van Praagh said. "For a 'sensitive' to be on that couch, it was like sitting on ice!"
Maybe all the bad blood he saw was not her real red blood, but all the bad blood she has with people? We have seen a whole new side of her since her book came out.

Michelle Obama, loving and chronically sarcastic wife to presidential candidate Barack Obama, is co-hosting lady show The View today. She opened by terrorist fist-jabbing all her co-hosts! She is smart and funny and friendly and regular, and none of that will stop people from calling her a constantly aggrieved radical or whatever. Though between today's hosting duty and her US Weekly cover, she's obviously on a charm offensive. For the first time in our adult life, we're proud of daytime television and tabloid magazines.
Now that she’s done filming Bride Wars, Kate Hudson has been all over New York City, and this morning she sure seemed to be in a hurry.
The “Fool’s Gold” cutie was spotted smiling while moving quickly from her Soho apartment to her waiting SUV stretch limo. And no wonder she was so eager to get going… she was on her way to The View!

How many times does astute political analyst Whoopi Goldberg need to tell you, and her cohorts on The View, that they're going to have to raise taxes? People is reporting that once Rosie O'Donnell saw how cute Elisabeth Hasselbeck's baby was on The View she sent her some presents for her kids and the two have been E-Mailing each other every since.
"I sent something for him and something for his big sister [Grace, 2]," said O'Donnell. "Because, as the mother of four, I know that when the newborn arrives, the most important thing is a sibling gift. For [Taylor], it was a lot of clothes, because babies spit up a lot. I go to Baby Gap. There is a standard newborn gift pack – as much as you can buy at the Gap without being arrested. And a learning gift, a soft shape sorter. And then for [Grace] who is older, I got a tea set that she loves."O'Donnell says that Hasselbeck herself has bounced back after giving birth – and they've stayed in touch. "We e-mail back and forth," she said. "She seems good. She looks like she adopted, like she didn't give birth. She looks perfectly fit and gorgeous already."

Plane makes successful 'belly landing' in New Jersey [ABC7]
"Elisabeth and I are happy to announce the arrival of our son," her husband, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, 29, said in a statement. "Both mom and son are happy and healthy."
OK! Magazine received that statement from herhusband on the birth of her second baby. Elisabeth Hasselbeck will announce her son's name on The View on Monday, hopefully it will be something normal unlike her. I think one name we can assume it will not be is Rosie…

Tori Spelling’s baby said his first word yesterday as she prepared to go live on The View, and unfortunately she missed it.
Little Liam said, “Mom”, but it wasn’t Spelling who was holding him at the time. Backstage, Liam was in the arms of Sherri Shepherd, who was the lucky one to hear it.
Shepherd said, “He said, ‘Mom,’ when I was holding him.” Spelling added, “I thought, ‘Isn’t that a good story - the first time he says, Mom, and Sherri Shepherd’s holding him.”
For two days Jessica Simpson will be co-hosting on “The View.” I am guessing the other ladies are looking forward to a mind that is free of clutter, thoughts and political views. While Elisabeth Hasselbeck is off giving birth to baby number two, the ladies will delve into the usual topical conversations with a variety of co-host replacements.
“Jessica Simpson is set to sit in with the ladies of “The View” this November when she spends two days as a guest host. The actress and singer will guest-host on the ABC daytime talker on November 15 and 16. The show’s regular hosts are Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepard.”
November 15th and 16th Jess is set be a part of the team of celebs to fill in. Samantha Harris (Dancing With the Stars) and Kassie DePaiva (One Life to Live) are signed up to help out. Kassie will be the first to keep Elisabeth’s seat warm. The bevy of celeb stars starts Wednesday Oct. 24th. I know everyone will be setting their TiVo.
She is no stranger to the couch. She made an appearance on the talk show before just after her divorce and the entire John Mayer debacle. She delved into deep issues like shoes, dressing like a man to avoid the photogs and “all kinds of stuff.”
The View: How do you avoid the paparazzi?
Jessica: I don’t. I can’t.
The View: Is there a way to escape them at all?
Jessica: Not really. The whole, like, back door, hiding in trunks, wigs, disguise, dressing up like a man.
The View: Do you do that?
Jessica: Yeah, of course.
The View: On the other hand — on the other hand, I hope the day never comes when they’re not there. Then you say why don’t they care about me a little bit? You’re right.
Jessica: I might go through a little bit of withdrawal because I love fashion. So I like to, you know, sell my own boots and stuff. I use it for that. I look at it as a positive thing because I have a sunglass line coming out, all kinds of stuff.
Deep…very deep.

The View is up 7% or 200,000 viewers from a year ago without Rosie O'Donnell on the show according to the TV Guide! So I guess The View got the last laugh on Rosie! I wonder what Rosie will blog about this….not that I will understand what she writes anyway.
Or is the Grim Reaper pregnant? What is up with that attire they gave Elisabeth Hasselbeck to wear for this photoshoot because that cover is going to haunt my dreams tonight.

Rosie O'Donnell and all of her friends need to grow the freak up. You know Rosie is the reason why Barry Manilow refused to do the show with Elisabeth Hasselbeck?
Unlike last year it doesn't look like they photoshopped as much as they did Rosie O'Donnell. This picture definitely looks better than last years because they look like one unified group as compared to Rosie and the Viewettes.
