Cynthia Rodriguez, former wife of Yankees’ All-Star Alexander Rodriguez, says that her split from the slugger has had a major affect on her family.
In her first interview since filing for divorce on Monday, the 34-year-old told that nobody in her “close-knit family” has ever gotten divorced before and it has been a major blow.

Alex Rodriguez’s bitter divorce took an ugly turn on Monday night when Team A-Rod accused his estranged wife of going on a spiteful spending spree in Paris last weekend. Spurned spouse Cynthia Rodriguez used the Yankee slugger’s credit card to the tune of $100,000 to punish him for a dalliance with Madonna that both he and the Material Girl deny, an A-Rod pal said.
“She’s been spending wildly,” the friend said. “She spent close to $100,000 on her jaunt to Paris.”
Cynthia flew the godparents of her daughters, Dodd and Sabina Romero, and their older daughter, first-class to the City of Light, the friend said.

Considering the fact that A-Rod makes more than $27 million a year, this story sounds completely petty . . . as in these two probably keep $100,000 lying around in petty cash. There are two reasons why A-Rod getting upset over $100k infuriates me: 1) The guy probably heats his fireplace, lights his cigar, and wipes his ass with hundred dollar bills. 2) Hundred dollar bills aren’t even two-ply!

Cynthia Nixon hits back at boob job suggestion

Cynthia Nixon has hit out at reports that she had a boob job last week - instead pointing out that she was actually going in for a check to make sure her cancer had not returned.“I was at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital for my ‘three-monthly’ checkup,” said Nixon, a breast-cancer survivor. “I was in the Oncology Department. I guess they think that means ‘plastic surgery.’” Badum-bump!
“We got a call from [the Post] asking if I’d had breast augmentation, and my publicist laughed at them and said, ‘No, of course not.’ But they printed it anyway. If I was going to get a boob job, wouldn’t it make sense that I’d get it before ‘Sex and the City’?” Ba-dump!
Cynthia adds that her lumpectomy did not warrant reconstructive surgery.
I’m really starting to wonder if hospitals should have some kind of protection services for celebrities, particularly following the leaks from UCLA about Farrah Fawcett’s cancer treatment and Britney’s breakdown. I’ve been to hospital twice recently and I was not receiving treatment either time, but if I was a celebrity I would be either pregnant or having plastic surgery. Considering that Cynthia Nixon has spoken about her cancer previously I think it was wrong to suggest that she was having a breast augmentation.
The Sydney Morning Herald today has a an article questioning whether the photography of newsworthy figures - not only celebrities but also other public figures such as politicians or murderers - should be considered part of the freedom of the press. It asks what balance needs to be made between public interest, profit and news.

NY Post says Cynthia Nixon got new boobs, but she had cancer & they’re same size

The NY Post is reporting today that Sex and The City co-stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon both underwent elective “minor surgeries” at the same hospital. These two are close friends, with Nixon saying on Oprah that Davis was the first person she told about her same sex relationship with Christine Marinoni. This makes sense because friends often influence each other to get work done.In Nixon and Davis’ case, though, Nixon is said to have had a breast augmentation while Davis had varicose veins on her legs removed.
Apparently, soon after the movie’s release, [Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis] both paid a visit to Roosevelt Hospital on 10th Avenue for minor surgeries. “Cynthia had a breast augmentation and soon after, Kristin had the varicose veins on her legs removed,” said an insider. “They both made sure they did it on the quietest day of the week.” It could explain why Davis always wears long hems. Nixon, whose rep denied the surgery, could have been disappointed with her topless scene. Davis’ rep had no comment.

Cynthia Nixon’s rep denies the story so it’s probably not true. Her boobs were visible for a few seconds in the Sex and The City movie and they looked great. They’re smallish and perky and she looked hot in a sex scene in the film, which kind of surprised me at how explicit it was. She deserves a lot of credit for agreeing to appear topless and for working the great boobs she has.
Nixon also appeared at an event on Tuesday and it doesn’t look like her breast size has changed at all, so I don’t think this story is true. Given the timeline they mention, Nixon had the surgery “soon after the movie’s release” and not this week.
Nixon had breast cancer two years ago and it’s possible she had a procedure to correct something related to that. She had a “very small spot” that was discovered in a routine mammogram removed along with six and a half weeks of radiation and is now cancer free. Judging from her breast size, which is about the same, she didn’t have an enlargement. Davis is now a spokesperson for the Susan G. Komen foundation and emphasizes the importance of early breast cancer detection.

Sarah Jessica Parker looked a bit more refined and less Carrie-esque at the premiere of Sex and The City at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. She wore a nude-colored strapless gown with subtle ribbon detail at the top that looks familiar. (If a fashion-minded reader can remind me who wore a similar dress, probably in a darker color, I would appreciate it.) Cynthia Nixon stunned with sleek hair and a flowing black v-neck gown. Kristin Davis was in a deep green 40s style dress with a full knee-length skirt and Kim Cattrall wore a orange colored number with an odd patchwork of fabric pieces that didn’t flatter her.Berlin’s Morgenpost (article is in German) noted that the four actress spent more then an hour on the pink carpet, and each arrived ten minutes apart. They are staying in four suites on different floors at the best hotel in Berlin, The Hotel Adlon, and arrived yesterday in ten white limos.

Cynthia Nixon's Boobies Were Once In Peril

Sex and the City star, Cynthia Nixon, recently revealed in an interview with Good Morning America that she underwent treatment for breast cancer, after being diagnosed with the disease two years ago. Because her mother is also a breast cancer survivor, Cynthia said that she always suspected she might have to face the disease herself.
Cynthia admits that she is just now talking openly about her bout with cancer because when she was undergoing treatment, she didn't want to have to face media scrutiny. She said, "I didn't want paparazzi at the hospital."
Meanwhile, here's a picture of her with her girlfriend Christine Marinoni in the thumbnail in the bottom left. OK, is it just me, or does it look like a pair of fraternal twins dating? That always creeps me out. Like when Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson were an item. The uterus is not a place to meet your mate.
