Kevin Federline has been keeping under the radar recently while his ex-wife Britney Spears has been getting all of the attention. He has been called many things in the last five years, from gold-digger to wannabe and partier, but lately he only answers to the name “Daddy”.
Since going his separate ways with Spears in 2006 and watching her go through a public breakdown, the former backup dancer, 30, has put all of his energy and focus into his young sons, Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James 2.
Kevin Federline still has hopes that Britney Spears’ can be a mother to their children. Spears completely lost her visitation rights to her two young sons at least until a new hearing in February, after failing to show up at her latest custody hearing.
The singer arrived at Los Angeles Superior Court for a crucial custody hearing four hours late and then reportedly refused to enter the courthouse.
While pop-wreck Brit was not legally obliged to attend the hearing the new ruling means she will not see her kids for a minimum of one month and it gave further evidence to her failing mental status, unable to manage her demons long enough to fight for her children.
And Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan says his client is saddened his boys won’t be able to see their mother and hopes the situation will one day be resolved.
He told celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, “The word victory is not something that Mister Federline nor his counsel would ascribe to the result of the court ruling today.
“There is no joyous feeling in this, this is a grave situation for everyone. At some point, it is Mister Federline’s hope to parent the minor children with participation from the mother.”
I really hope and think those are sincere sentiments. Those boys need their mother when and if Brit is able to get her life back together.

Entertainment insiders were reporting Monday morning that the FBI and Los Angeles police department are investigating unconfirmed reports that Britney Spears’ ex-husband has had a contract taken out on his life.
The insiders also reported that the police had made an attempt to contact Kevin Federline to inform him about the potential danger concerning the death threat.
Not only does he want full custody of the kids, Kevin Federline now wants Britney Spears to pay some of his legal expenses in their divorce case, too.
According to K Fed’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, his client “has no net income after various expenses, and Ms. Spears is clearly the monied party in the dispute.” As a result, Federline feels that Britney can afford to, and should, pay some of his legal team’s hefty bill.
Gossip Girls have learned that a criminal investigation has been launched into an attempted assault with a deadly weapon involving the legal team of Kevin Federline.
According to the LAPD, Aaron Cohen, a former counter-terror commando in the Israeli army who now works for K-fed’s lawyer, was struck while sitting in his car. He was rammed by Sam Osama Lufti, who was driving a Mercedes. Cohen was on his way to serve a subpoena to Lufti, but Lufti recognized him and decided to make an attempt at ending his life.
