Using her talents for a good cause, Jennifer Hudson performed a dazzling set at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday night (October 9).

Decked out in a gorgeous purple frock, the “American Idol” alum happened to be partaking in the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education’s 15th Grand Slam for Children benefit concert.

Among the other stars lending a hand were Jason Mraz, Sir Elton John, Rob Thomas and AJ Green, who joined Miss Hudson onstage during her performance.

As for the cause, the Agassi event raises funds to help improve education for underprivileged youth in the Las Vegas community.

Voicing his thanks to Miss Hudson and everyone else who took part, Andre said in a statement, “We are honored that these international sensations are performing for this special 15th concert. The support received through the Foundation and from these renowned artists ultimately helps us make a difference in the lives of Agassi Prep students.”

Toting her adorable young son David Ortunga Jr in her arms, the “American Idol” alum smiled and waved to paparazzi after her appearance on “Good Morning America”.

The visit to NYC comes after Miss Hudson spent the past weekend back home in Chicago celebrating her birthday.

Having turned 29-years-old on Sunday (September 12), Jen is said to have “performed at a special gospel concert at Christ Universal Temple on South Ashland, raising money to provide gifts for deserving children during the holiday season.”

Her first marriage ended in divorce back in 2007 and, even after finding love again, Kate Hudson claims to be in no rush to remarry.

Enjoying a leisurely weekend outing, Kate Hudson was spotted out with a few friends in Brentwood, CA on Saturday (August 7).

Sporting a frizzier than normal hairdo, the “Fool’s Gold” hottie looked casual cute as she ventured over to A Votre Sante restaurant for a tasty lunch.

The sighting comes just as rumors continue to build claiming that Miss Hudson is contemplating a move to the UK to be with her new musician boyfriend Matt Bellamy.

Of the building romance between the 31-year-old actress and her Muse singer beau, a source told Britain’s Look magazine, “Kate’s been swept off her feet. She’s not only fallen in love with Matt, but also with the idea of starting a new life in Europe. The plan is for them to divide their time between his London apartment and his home in Lake Como, Italy. She’s already started moving her things over. She couldn’t be more excited.”

The Russian fashion model hobknobbed amongst the other guests in attendance at the annual Sunset Over the Hudson summer celebration hosted by high end jewelry designer, David Yurman.

All beautifully clad in white, Ms Shayk and fellow models Heide Lindgren and Sessilee Lopez mingled together on The Rooftop overlooking the Hudson River.
