Marc Malkin of E! Online reports that the latest buzz from the set of the ABC hit Grey’s Anatomy is that creator Shonda Rhimes may be entertaining the idea of killing off Katherine Heigl’s Dr. Isobel ‘Izzie’ Stevens because of the now infamous remarks Heigl made about the upcoming Emmys.

“‘It’s not good there,’ a source tells me of the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ set. Shonda is pissed. They’re thinking of killing her off. They want Izzie dead.’”

The nasty battle started when Katherine Heigl bowed out from the Emmy Award selection process. Heigl said at the time, “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”

Furious, “a key show insider” told EW.com: “The show bent over backwards to accommodate her film schedule, and then she criticizes the show for lack of material? It’s an ungrateful slap in the face to the very writers responsible for her Emmy win in the first place.”

Going public with her Emmy complaint only increased speculation that Heigl wants out of her contract to focus on her red-hot film career. So killing her character off might make everyone happy.

However, a network source tells that the ‘killing her character off’ rumor isn’t true. Heigl is under contract and will be back next season!

Katherine Heigl won the Emmy last year for Best Supporting Actress, but has taken herself out of the race for this year’s Emmy Awards. When asked why she wasn’t entered into his years pool of Emmy contenders, Heigl told the LA Times…

“I am truly grateful for the honor that the Academy bestowed upon me last year. I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the Academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention. In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”

Heigl acts like this is some kind of stand for the integrity of the Academy but it smacks of her obvious disenchantment with her television career. And in the process she has basically given the entire writing staff of Grey’s a nicotine-stained middle finger. Unfortunately for Heigl, she renegotiated fifteen months ago, and it looks pretty iron clad. Katharine will likely have to suffer on with a staff of writers who probably not to fond of her, till she finishes out her contract.

Now that Katharine Heigl has proved she’s a successful movie star with 27 Dresses and Knocked Up, she’s ready to move on from Grey’s Anatomy. A source told UsWeekly:

“She’s working really long hours and is ready to move on.

One insider said that making movies while she’s still on Grey’s was just the ticket she needed:

“She’s a smart one. She saw what can happen with someone like Jennifer Aniston, who was crazy successful on TV, but can’t seem to carry a film, and she tested the waters early.”

But, fans of Grey’s will be happy to know that her contract which she renegotiated fifteen months ago, looks pretty iron clad. Katharine will likely have to suffer on till she finishes out her contract.

Newlyweds Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley were victims of a car break-in this week.

The couple were out shopping on Tuesday this week, when they returned to find the windows of their black SUV car had been smashed in.

Josh said: “It was pretty brutal! Thieves suck! I guess people who do this are pretty stupid.”

Despite the damage done to the car, only Josh’s GPS device was taken.

He said: “They only stole my GPS device. That’s it. It was pretty lucky because I had guitars in there and everything!”

The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actress Katherine was recently voted the Most Desirable Woman of the Year by website Askmen.com, revealed this isn’t the first car theft for her:

She said: “It happened when my old car used to be here, and this is a pretty safe area. You would think!”

These guys were serious about the whole "not-seeing-the-bride-before-the-wedding" thing. Katharine McPhee from "American Idol" got hitched over the weekend and here are some pictures from her wedding. One of the attendees, Rumer Willis, looks like she's having a great time. She and Katharine star together in their upcoming film, "I Know What Boys Like," (SPOILER ALERT: The answer is boobs and long hair) and have since become BFF.

Rumer looks like she's fairly dancing in the streets on the day of her friend's wedding, which is pretty endearing, if you ask me. You can also see a sneak peek at the bride's feet if you browse the thumbnails after the jump.

"American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee got married to producer Nick Cokas on Saturday in Beverly Hills. The two have been friends since they met in 2005 while working on a production of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir". The two of them got serious when Katharine made it onto "American Idol". Mmm hmmm. She lost, and her record company recently dropped her so I hope Nick's got some scratch on him.

These "Idol" kids can be an iffy proposition. It can really go either way. You can be a Clay Aiken, or a Carrie Underwood and be bringing moonbeams home in a jar. Or you can wind up like Jessica Sierra, getting in barfights and shooting amateur porn in hotel room bathtubs. Not cute. So it's not always the path to riches. Katharine, 23, and Nick, 42 (this cradle has been robbed!) got married at the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church in a late afternoon ceremony. She describes him as "the love of my life." Look, maybe yours is a special love story but most ladies I know at 23 want to be up in the club getting low and teasing the mens for laughs with their friends. In their apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur. Katie, why are you throwing down your anchor at 23?

Singer Josh Kelley and actress Katherine Heigl arrive at the premiere of “27 Dresses” held on January 7, 2007 in Westwood, California. No matter how many dresses Katherine wore for this movie Josh’s favorite is the one she had on when they wed on December 23.

“It feels great man. It feels good,” the musician told PageSix.com of his marriage, which he says hasn’t changed his life that much. “I don’t know what the best part is yet, we’re only a couple of weeks in… living together and not having to worry about sleeping in the same room when her parents are in the house? That feels really good.”

Katherine Heigl though was thinking about maternity dresses: “I would like to start a family within the next year to year in a half,” she said as she rubbed her stomach.

Emmy-winning actress Katherine Heigl has married her musician boyfriend Josh Kelley this weekend in a holiday-themed ceremony at a resort in Park City, Utah.

With a light snow falling outside, Heigl, who portrays Dr. Izzie Stevens on “Grey’s Anatomy,” and Josh tied the knot Sunday in front of a small group of family and friends in a small white-draped tent outside the Stein Eriksen Lodge.

Heigl’s “Grey’s Anatomy” co-star T.R. Knight was part of her bridal party, and guests included cast members Sandra Oh and Kate Walsh.

Heigl’s bridesmaids wore cranberry dresses, and as for her a white Oscar De La Renta gown, she described it as “A-line with a big fluffy skirt — and it’s strapless.” Kelley’s four groomsmen, included Grey’s co-star T.R. Knight, and Josh’s younger brother Charles as best man, all dressed head-to-toe in Tommy Hilfiger. As Katherine walked down the aisle a song, entitled “December 23,” written specifically for the ceremony by her waiting groom Josh Kelley played. According to a source, the bride and groom wrote their own vows.

On Saturday, Heigl celebrated her last day before marriage with an all-day trip to the spa with her gal pals, complete with gifts from Victoria’s Secret and buckets of champagne from Moet & Chandon.

Heigl, 29, and Kelley, 27, met when she appeared in one of his music videos in 2005. They were engaged last year.

American Idol runner-up and all-around hottie Katharine McPhee, 23, is engaged to her boyfriend of over a year, Nick Cokas, 42. Even if you’re an “Age ain’t nothing but a number” sort, there’s something kinda creepy about Cokas. Probably the way he emerged around the time she was on American Idol and hangs off her like a monkey. There’s a lot of PDA there. Or maybe it’s because he should have a little more shame since he could be her dad. I’m kidding. I think it’s the hairline. Whoops, kidding about that one too. Cokas took McPhee to her original American Idol audition, which is where they fell in love. And she says their age difference has never been a problem, because Cokas is so fun. Awwww.

They have been dating for more than a year. “Katharine is bubbling over with excitement for her upcoming wedding,” a source says. “She is all smiles when she talks about the planning. It sounds like everything is going very smoothly.”

The couple met in 2005 when they performed in a Los Angeles theater production of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. Their union began as a friendship, McPhee told PEOPLE last year. “He took me up to my San Francisco (Idol) audition,” McPhee said. That’s when their relationship blossomed. “We totally fell in love,” she said.

As for the 19-year age difference, McPhee says that “was never really a concern.” The two connect because “he just makes things really fun” and “we love business. We love going to meetings together and create things together.” Case in point: the two will join forces on an upcoming independent film titled The Last Caller. Katharine and Nick were caught checking out wedding cakes last May, so it seems like marriage has been on their minds for a while now. Celebitchy first reported on their relationship in June of ’06 when the couple were seen out and about in New York City. She noted that Cokas is the co-founder of the Zenith film group, which produced plays for the New York Fringe Festival. The couple seem a little mismatched to me, but they’ve been together for a while now and must have a good feeling about their relationship. Congrats to them both.

Are they filming Knocked Up 2 or something? Apparently it's called House Bunny and McPhee plays a sorority girl. Like, literally. According to IMDb.com, her character is "Sorority Girl" and either she's pregnant in the movie or it's some sorority house joke for rush week. (Are you laughing yet?) So, I guess this means Katharine's music phever has died down a bit, but I always pictured her as an actress instead of a singer, anyway. Let's hope she's funny! Oh, Rumer.
