“But that’s my body of work. I am not going to apologize for it. I have kind of unusual taste and sometimes it’s mainstream and a lot of times it’s not,” she said.
We understand. Abandon ship now for a “noble” cause is always better than people giving up casting you for movies later on. It’s bad enough that you were already listed as one of those risque actors to invest in. You’re up there rubbing elbows with Nicholas Cage–to this day, I still don’t understand how a schitzo like him could ever land an acting career.

The Australian actress will star in and produce The Danish Girl, based on the true story of Danish artists Einar and Greta Wegener, the Hollywood Reporter has reported.
What began as a harmless game led Einer to a metamorphosis and landmark 1931 operation that shocked the world and threatened their love.
Kidman is also slated to play Dusty Springfield in a biopic about the bisexual English singer.
What makes this even better? Charlize Theron is supposed to be playing Greta– and knowing her small record with playing lesbian lovers, hopefully it’s a beautiful woman this time. What really is going to get me going to the movies…I suppose besides the riviting plot of a historical piece…is the opportunity to hopefully discover what a real Nicole KidMAN looks like. Almost sounds like the horror flick of the century.

Stepping out on a cold November afternoon in the Big Apple, Nicole Kidman was spotted making her way around Manhattan on Sunday (November 9).
Getting back into work mode following the birth of daughter Sunday Rose, the Australian actress has just recently announced that she’ll be starring in and producing a brand new project titled “The Danish Girl”.
Nicole Kidman is painting a less than happy picture of her marriage to Tom Cruise.
She tells Glamour Magazine she felt oppressed during the marriage and that her role was to support her super-star husband and "to be seen and not heard."
"I felt I became a star only by association. I didn't think [my early movies] were very good, which is why I would always cower in the background," Kidman said.
Kidman and Cruise met when she was just 22 years old. She says her insecurities got the better of her.
"I thought, I don't deserve to be here. We would go to the Oscars and I would think, I'm here to support him, Kidman said. "I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and to be seen and not heard."
While she says she has no bitterness towards her ex, she says she is happier now than she has ever been.
"I'm in a place of gratitude and humility. I touch wood every day. The journey of life - we all go through it," Kidman told the magazine.
Nicole says it was her marriage to country singer and fellow Australian Keith Urban and the birth of her daughter, Sunday Rose, that have brought her true happiness.
"You have love, you lose love, you find new love. To have love again is a beautiful thing."

I never can get over the fact that there are times when I look at Nicole Kidman, and all I see is a Kewpie Doll with hair. Her long, bone straight tresses do nothing for those graying edges of hers, and unless she has heavy make-up and a lot of overhead lighting (being dressed in nothing more than her underwear is also a plus), she’s just some broad with a really creepy way of saying things.

The Oscar winning actress tells The Australian Women’s Weekly that she believes she conceived last year after swimming in “fertility waters” in the Aussie Outback during production of her epic romance ‘Australia.’
Kidman, 41, says she was one of seven women who became pregnant after a swim in the waters.
Nicole told The Australian Women’s Weekly in an exclusive interview for the magazine’s 75th anniversary edition: “I never thought that I would get pregnant and give birth to a child, but it happened on this movie.”
This was Nicole’s first natural birth child, she adopted Isabella, 14, and twelve-year-old Conor during her first marriage to Tom Cruise.
Shortly after Nicole split with Cruise, she revealed that she had suffered an ectopic pregnanacy and a miscarriage during the marriage.
She went on to tell the Magazine, “There is something up there in the Kununurra water because we all went swimming in the waterfalls, so we can call it the fertility waters now.”
In the interview via the AP, Kidman calls her labor and her baby “very good.” The movie ‘Australia’ is due for release on Nov. 26.
Nicole Kidman blames…or I suppose celebrates the birth of her child all because of Australia’s water. Not only did she drink it, she swam in it.
The 41-year-old Aussie, who gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose in July, said she and six other women who swam in the waters of a small Outback town during production of the epic romance “Australia” fell pregnant.
As a safety precaution, the alleged fertilty waters have been marked off-limits to all hot celebrities and mentally disabled until further notice. This might be a good time to investigate whether or not the unusually high numbers of pregnancies in Hollywood have any connection with this gift from Satan. All other people who may feel they have been infected have been ordered to be kicked repeatedly in the stomach by a kangaroo to reverse effects. Nicole Kidman waited 41 years to have a baby and says she truly thought she would never get the chance. But while filming her latest film, Australia, she and six other women involved with the film swam in the waterfalls of Kununurra, Australia, and ended up pregnant.
“I never thought that I would get pregnant and give birth to a child, but it happened on this movie,” Kidman told The Australian Women’s Weekly in an exclusive interview for the magazine’s 75th anniversary edition, released Wednesday.
“Seven babies were conceived out of this film and only one was a boy. There is something up there in the Kununurra water because we all went swimming in the waterfalls, so we can call it the fertility waters now.”
Kidman says she was surprised to find out she was pregnant while filming in Australia, but clearly it was a pleasant surprise. But, there are those who have their doubts as to the actual gestation of little Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, who was born in July. Theories of surrogates, adoption and pregnancy padding swirled because Nicole showed so little during her pregnancy, even in the very latest stages, and her amazingly lithe body and dinner out and mattress shopping within days of giving birth. She skillfully addresses those rumors without going overboard to try defending anything.
“I’m so lucky I’m so tall, so I carried small and also, I have to say, I had a birth that I was blessed with, a labor that was very good and a baby that was very good to me in that regard.”
She makes a curious statement at the end, almost as a quick afterthought of her kids with Tom Cruise.
“To be given this again is a beautiful thing. To have raised Bella and Connor since I was 25 and now to be able to do it again at 41 … wow!”
Yes, wow indeed.
