The wrongful death lawsuit made by the family of John Ritter was resolved when a California jury decided that the doctors in question were not negligent. Dr. Matthew Lotysch, a radiologist, and Dr. Joseph Lee, the cardiologist who treated Ritter on the night of his death, were cleared of all blame in the $67 million lawsuit when the jury failed to reach a unanimous decision, a requirement for wrongful-death trials.
Ritter passed away in 2003 of a torn aorta and since then, his family has received more than $14 million in settlements related to the actor's death. Ultimately, in this case, the jurors noted that Ritter did not heed the advice of his radiologist to see a physician, after he was advised to do so upon hearing the results of his 2001 body scan.

Jerry Seinfeld's wife Jessica released a book called "Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Getting Your Kids Eating Good Food," in 2007 six months after Missy Chase Lapine's book "The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids' Favorite Meals" came out. Both books are about how to get your kid to eat their veggies by subterfuge or something. Someone should have worked that grift on me as a kid. Maybe I wouldn't have this Ring-Ding addiction. Lapine is now suing Jessica Seinfeld for plagarism and including Jerry in the suit for "slanderous attacks" against her. Jerry apparently went on David Letterman and dismissed Lapine as a wackjob who was accusing his wife of "vegetable plagarism". Ok, Seinfeld's annoying but that's funny. He also mentioned that Lapine had a three word name, and that "many of the three name people become assassins". HAH! Wow, take that Missy. Lapine is the former publisher of "Eating Well" magazine, and claims she researched her book for five years. Jessica Seinfeld probably put a marshmallow on a carrot one day and wrote about it.

For some celebrities, too much is never enough. And though Madonna already has a 6,000 square foot duplex on the upper West Side of Manhattan, NYC, she wants more.
Her desire to expand is so great that she’s filed a summons in Manhattan Supreme Court against the board and management company at her Central Park West luxury building. Apparently, the co-op won’t let her go beyond her current walls into a neighboring apartment.

Sure she’s admitted to being a little out of control over the past year. And she has the rap sheet to prove it. But Lindsay Lohan is claiming that a negligence suit being filed against her from her 2005 car crash is totally bogus.
This past Friday, the Mean Girls actress filed a 10-page report that attempts to nullify a lawsuit brought against her by Raymundo Ortega. Her lawyer, Alfred Gerisch asserts that Ortega’s claim that LiLo was drunk during the time of the accident is merely an attempt to cash in on her recent indiscretions, rather than a factual account of the incident.
