These guys were serious about the whole "not-seeing-the-bride-before-the-wedding" thing. Katharine McPhee from "American Idol" got hitched over the weekend and here are some pictures from her wedding. One of the attendees, Rumer Willis, looks like she's having a great time. She and Katharine star together in their upcoming film, "I Know What Boys Like," (SPOILER ALERT: The answer is boobs and long hair) and have since become BFF.

Rumer looks like she's fairly dancing in the streets on the day of her friend's wedding, which is pretty endearing, if you ask me. You can also see a sneak peek at the bride's feet if you browse the thumbnails after the jump.

"American Idol" runner-up Katharine McPhee got married to producer Nick Cokas on Saturday in Beverly Hills. The two have been friends since they met in 2005 while working on a production of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir". The two of them got serious when Katharine made it onto "American Idol". Mmm hmmm. She lost, and her record company recently dropped her so I hope Nick's got some scratch on him.

These "Idol" kids can be an iffy proposition. It can really go either way. You can be a Clay Aiken, or a Carrie Underwood and be bringing moonbeams home in a jar. Or you can wind up like Jessica Sierra, getting in barfights and shooting amateur porn in hotel room bathtubs. Not cute. So it's not always the path to riches. Katharine, 23, and Nick, 42 (this cradle has been robbed!) got married at the Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church in a late afternoon ceremony. She describes him as "the love of my life." Look, maybe yours is a special love story but most ladies I know at 23 want to be up in the club getting low and teasing the mens for laughs with their friends. In their apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur. Katie, why are you throwing down your anchor at 23?

The couple met in 2005 when they performed in a Los Angeles theater production of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. Their union began as a friendship and blossomed when McPhee with Cokas’ help auditioned for American Idol later that year. The two quietly got engaged last year when Cokas presented McPhee with a custom-designed diamond engagement ring.
McPhee, 23, and Cokas, 42, exchanged vows in an afternoon ceremony at Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church. Among the 305 guests on hand for the wedding were fellow season five Idol contestants Kellie Pickler and Mandisa.

While the New Year is usually a time for fresh starts and new beginnings, getting dropped from her label probably wasn’t what Katharine McPhee had in mind. However, it looks like she’ll be taking her songs somewhere other than RCA Records in 2008.

The American Idol runner up (spotted at the Golden Globes gift bag event this past Wednesday at the Voda Spa in West Hollywood) only sold 366,000 copies of her album last year, failing to garner the coveted “Gold” record status.

It seems Katherine McPhee’s record label has dropped her shorty after they dropped a few other American Idol “stars”.

RCA Records confirmed that they’ve parted ways with the former “Idol” golden girl, just days after Ruben Studdard and Taylor Hicks lost their record contracts. A source tells Rush & Molloy, “Winning ‘American Idol’ is no longer a guarantee that you’re going to make it. Katharine was hot for a few months. But audiences are fickle.”

I guess a huge fantastic rack doesn’t guarantee you fame. Wait, yes it does. Normally at this point, a desperate American Idol flunkie would release a sex tape or pose for Playboy. I don’t think Katherine is that desperate for attention, but I’ve got my fingers crossed!

Even if you’re an “Age ain’t nothing but a number” sort, there’s something kinda creepy about Cokas. Probably the way he emerged around the time she was on American Idol and hangs off her like a monkey. There’s a lot of PDA there. Or maybe it’s because he should have a little more shame since he could be her dad. I’m kidding. I think it’s the hairline. Whoops, kidding about that one too. Cokas took McPhee to her original American Idol audition, which is where they fell in love. And she says their age difference has never been a problem, because Cokas is so fun. Awwww.

They have been dating for more than a year. “Katharine is bubbling over with excitement for her upcoming wedding,” a source says. “She is all smiles when she talks about the planning. It sounds like everything is going very smoothly.”

The couple met in 2005 when they performed in a Los Angeles theater production of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. Their union began as a friendship, McPhee told PEOPLE last year. “He took me up to my San Francisco (Idol) audition,” McPhee said. That’s when their relationship blossomed. “We totally fell in love,” she said.

We love going to meetings together and create things together.” Case in point: the two will join forces on an upcoming independent film titled The Last Caller. McPhee will star in the dark romantic comedy and Cokas will produce.

Katharine and Nick were caught checking out wedding cakes last May, so it seems like marriage has been on their minds for a while now. Celebitchy first reported on their relationship in June of ’06 when the couple were seen out and about in New York City. She noted that Cokas is the co-founder of the Zenith film group, which produced plays for the New York Fringe Festival. The couple seem a little mismatched to me, but they’ve been together for a while now and must have a good feeling about their relationship. Congrats to them both.

Are they filming Knocked Up 2 or something? Apparently it's called House Bunny and McPhee plays a sorority girl. Like, literally. According to IMDb.com, her character is "Sorority Girl" and either she's pregnant in the movie or it's some sorority house joke for rush week. (Are you laughing yet?) So, I guess this means Katharine's music phever has died down a bit, but I always pictured her as an actress instead of a singer, anyway. Let's hope she's funny! Oh, Rumer.
