Just back from promoting her show in Milan, Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester stepped out last evening looking fabulous in a bright-green Dior dress at the Christian Dior Cruise 2009 Collection at Gustavino’s.
When asked if Dior garments line her closet, Leighton replied: “I have a little Dior, but what I do have I cherish - especially my pair of black-and-white spectator heels.”

Leighton Meester knows how she looks. I know the crazy little twits on Gossip Girl are supposed to be dictating what the kids should wear nowadays, but who has the time? Petticoats, ascots, white gloves, and spats? Kids that dress like that are going to get their asses beat! Believe me, I know. I once tried to wear a white blazer to junior high and I'm still scarred from the bullying!
Leighton will reprised her role as pop singer Justine Chapin on Entourage next season. She appeared as the character with a crush on Adrian Grenier's Vince in season one. Leighton shares a manager with Entourage producer Mark Wahlberg.
Hopefully she won't have to wear a corset or a pinafore or whatever the costume designers over at GG are torturing these people with.

Last night was a big one over at the Lincoln Center in New York City. The Metropolitan Opera held its Opening Night Gala, and the stars were definitely out in force.
Gossip Girl Leighton Meester (did you see the new episode last night?!) showed up looking stunning in a gold notched-top frilly-belted strapless/sleeveless dress with matching heels and a killer updo.
Leighton Meester was making like a real life socialite at the opening night of La Fille du Régiment at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC in a dress that is a color I might not usually champion, but I feel like she's got the skin tone and the lipstick to pull it off. She missed out on last night's episode of Gossip Girl, in which her character, Blair, was knocked out of her status as top bitch when it was revealed to her peers that she had been hit with a pregnancy scare after sleeping with Chuck.
Meester talked to Us Weekly about her hopes for her character's development, "I want the bitch to come back right now." She added, "I think she has to claw her way back up to the top." Well, she was rubbing elbows with one of the best of them, with Naomi Campbell showing up at the event after being subdued with elephant tranquilizers and agreeing to wear an invisible muzzle, so she wouldn't be tempted to bite or spit anyone. Leighton should be taking notes.

Up early in the early hours of the morning on Friday, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester made their way to the New York City set of their hit CW series “Gossip Girl” to film a few scenes.
In the show, Leighton plays Blair, whose world begins to collapse when her ex-best friend Serena (played by Blake) enrolls at Blair’s private school.
This show is really dramatic. Look at these high school kids, acting like they're in Casablanca. It's not that serious. Just work it out during fifth period study hall. Here's some snaps of Leighton Meester and Chace (gayest spelling ever) Crawford filming scenes for Gossip Girl. Gossip Girl is all about rich NYC teenagers who text a lot and dress like they're always on a photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar.
Leighton Meester plays spoiled bitch Blair, and gossip about her in real life doesn't bother her ass. "I've learned to let things roll off my back. If people say negative things, I could care less. But I let it give me a boost of confidence if they're saying nice things. If the press says anything, I see it as a plus because at least people are paying attention and watching the show," she says.
I watched this show once, and it was fairly insufferable. I don't want to wear a big bowtie to high school thanks. Today's teenagers as depicted in the media are such pansies. All I wanted in high school was my NIN t-shirt and my dirty Converse sneakers. Friggin' tweed vests and ascots in Algebra II. Pussies. Why is no one in their school thrashing these big girls?

I actually like Leighton Meester's hair all short like this--it appears to be the look Katherine Heigl was probably shooting for when she stepped out onto the red carpet on her way to the PTA meeting. I don't really get the cross-legged pose of which she seems to be so fond, but maybe it's the most slimming. What do I know? I've never had to do that side of the red carpet.
The star of "Gossip Girl" spoke at the Sunsilk "Life Can't Wait" campaign at Military Island in Times Square in NYC, I guess to sell some hair-care products. I feel like I'm so used to seeing her at events with at least one other co-star from her CW show. She looks lonely. Leighton Meester got all prettied up on Tuesday afternoon to take part in some promotional duties for Sunsilk’s “Life Can’t Wait” campaign.
Attending a function at Military Island in NYC’s Times Square, the 21-year-old Gossip Girl actress shared her “Life Can’t Wait” moment - which was being chosen for her current role of Blair Wladorf.
At least, that's the impression I'm getting from these photos here. The Virgin mogul recently attacked Leighton Meester from "Gossip Girl," in a move that is reminiscent of his attack on Pam Anderson at another Virgin event. Any time there's a red carpet around, Dick is ready to start grabbing ladies willy-nilly.
Anywho, Leighton was with her co-star, Chace Crawford at the launch of Virgin Mobile Canada's contract phone service in Toronto, when he decided to perform a feat of strength by proving that he can lift up a CW star with his bare hands. Chace looks adorably unimpressed and Leighton just seems to be rolling with it. At the very end, it looks like Richard makes a jokey attempt to pick up Chace and it's a wacky red carpet moment!

With a fresh cast and intense storyline, it’s no surprise that the new CW show Gossip Girl has drawn both praise and criticism as it focuses on a darker side of life for the super rich in NY. Intended to fill the audience gap created with the loss of Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl has done a good job of capturing its young audience’s interest with stories of sex, drugs, and pretty much everything else you can think of.
