While many celebrities sought out the hottest and most happening parties for the New Year’s holiday, Julia Roberts seemed content to keep things low-key.
The “Pretty Woman” actress was spotted on Friday (January 2) hanging out with her son Henry and twins Phinnaeus and Hazel (with the help of a family friend) at a local playground in Taos, New Mexico.
In the late 1980s and early 1990s - before Backstreet Boys or NSync were even on the map - the New Kids on the Block were stealing hearts, making hits, and selling tickets. And they’re poised to do it once again.
This morning on the Today Show, Jordan, Jonathan, Danny, Donnie, and Joey took the stage for the first time since 1994 to perform a medley of their hits, “The Right Stuff,” “Please Don’t Go Girl,” “Step by Step,” and “Hangin Tough” before launching into their new hit “Summertime.” And the nearly-3000 fans in attendance (some who waited since Wednesday) were ecstatic.
New Kids On The Block just dropped off their new single to the world. It's called "Summertime" and it's......eh? They should call it "Some Of Us Need Checks." It's light and frothy and mediocre and it always weirds me out when gays (Jonathan Knight) have to sing about wet girls on the beach and how hot they are.
The guys will perform together for the first time in 15 years on May 16 on the Today show. And then they're going on tour. Someone's mortgage payment was getting crucial.
NKOTB hail from Boston, and I should be supportive but damn...Donnie's bald and Danny Wood looks like he's had plastic surgery. The only one who still retains the freshness of youth is Joey MacIntyre. He's a hot piece. J. Harvey has friends (one of them a straight male) who are actually revved up for this mess and very excited about going to the Boston show. Along with 40-something Revere housewives with big hair with bad highlights, and harsh accents. Good luck!

From the ‘in case anyone cares’ file…here’s the brand spankin’ new New Kids on the Block song.
They’ve called their new single “Summertime” and the tune is, well, appropriately sunny. The New Kids on the Block will officially release the synth-heavy anthem on May 13, but PEOPLE.com has a first taste. Sweet and bright, the song finds the guys getting nostalgic, singing, “I think of you in the summertime / and all the good times we had, baby.”

The rumors are true. New Kids on the Block (NKOTB?) are back. Get our your jeans with the holes at the knees, leather jackets, rat tails, and porkpie hats. They reunited for the first time in 15 years on the Today show this morning.
Some of these dudes had to take Greyhound. Not Jonathan. He's the gay one and reportedly a real estate mogul. Donnie acts, but he still looks like your unmarried uncle who keeps getting busted trying to sell weed behind that bar in Southie.
NKOTB have been recording since August and plan to tour. They will come back to the Today show on May 16 to perform. Hold on to your drawers.
The sad thing is that I have friends already wondering how to get tickets. And some of them are straight guys. No, really.

I thought Donnie Wahlberg had a fairly successful acting career? And...well, what do the others do? Joey does theatre or something? This is sadness. Reports are saying that the New Kids On The Block, aka NKOTB, are planning a reunion tour. Someone wants to be rich like a Spice Girl. Their website is back up and asks fans to sign up for info. They broke up in 1994, after having sold 50 million albums. These people are from my area, and I feel that I should sort of support them but this could be a flaming dirigible striking the ground on a black and white newsreel of a disaster. Jonathan Knight turns 40 this year. He's the gay one who is now in real estate. Hopefully Joey will lead this pack. Jordan's decaying, and Joey's really the only slightly fresh-faced one.
