Nicole Kidman’s longtime bodyguard, David Micheal Garris, attacked a member of papparazi outfit FlyNetOnline in Santa Monica on Thursday.
The beat down occurred after an earlier incident on Wednesday, when a fellow photographer was attacked by Nicole’s guard-dog like trainer. In this earlier incident the 53 year old photog was snapping Nicole and her trainer hiking. The trainer didn’t like it and stole the guy’s camera which, was later returned.
With camera back in hand the very next day (Thursday), the 53 year old paparazzi joined by friend photog Jeremy thought it would be a good idea to follow Nicole again and her bodyguard, David Garris, as they were making their way to the gym. According to FlyNet, the vehicle they were in stopped and the bodyguard stepped out, in an obvious agressive manner. Bravely or foolishly, Jeremy pulled out his video camera, hoping to question the bodyguard about the incident on Wednesday, but as you can see from the picture and the clip, Garris was in no mood to chat. Jeremy stepped back inside of his vehicle but Garris went on the attack, pouncing into the car window and severely beating the photographer, punching him over and over in the head!
Afterwards, Nicole Kidman and the bodyguard split and Jeremy actually tried to follow them for awhile but eventually had to dial 911 because of his injuries. Talk about a die hard. Some pictures are just not that important!

Nicole Kidman’s rep has gone on the attack on behalf of her client at a recent report the pregnant actress was downing white wine at this Sunday’s Academy Awards. Kidman, 40, announced that she was expecting her first child with her country music star husband Keith Urban, 40, last month.New York Post columnist Cindy Adams wrote yesterday: “Boozing backstage during the Oscarcast is a no-no. But if you’re pregnant Nicole Kidman it’s a yes- yes. She wanted white wine. She got it.”
But Kidman’s rep has fired back, insisting the allegations aren’t true, saying: “Not true. She drank lemon zinger and water and was nursing a very bad cold.”
The rep, Catherine Olim of PMK, also sent this statement to Perez Hilton, blasting Cindy Adams. “I have to tell you that Nicole Kidman most certainly did NOT drink white wine or any other alcoholic beverage backstage.
“She had water and lemon zinger tea. That’s it.
“I know, I was there with her I cannot remember that last time that Cindy Adams got anything right. She’s an idiot, and you can quote me.”
We stayed away from this story yesterday waiting for a response by Nicole or her rep, and we’re glad we did!

Andrew Morton’s new controversial Tom Cruise biography. Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography also takes a revealing look at Nicole Kidman’s relationship with Tom. The sensational book paints Nicole as distant and moody.
Allegedly when Nicole was away filming a movie or increasingly, flying to Sydney to spend time with her parents and sister, it could be days before she would phone to see how Isabella and Connor were doing.Tom was much more a hands-on dad,” Morton writes.
“Those who saw the family close up concluded that Tom was much more comfortable and enthusiastic as a parent. The actor was in constant - and controlling - touch with the youngsters and their nannies no matter how busy he was.”
During the course of their 10-year marriage, Kidman often behaved like a spoiled “diva”, Morton said:
“If the jet wasn’t stocked with Beluga caviar and all the trimmings she appeared deeply irritated, exhibiting a jaded petulance,” he wrote.
“Nicole often seemed bored or disenchanted with her life as a Hollywood star, expecting a luxurious lifestyle as her birthright.
“She had no sense of wonderment about the world. So many wonderful things happened to her, but she had an enduring sense of boredom _ like some 1920s flapper. She never delighted in anything.”
Morton claims after they were married, Kidman grew out of her famous husband’s shadow and began to resent his minful ways toward her.
“Nicole bridled more and more at Tom’s controlling behaviour, finding fault in everything he did for her,” Morton writes.
“His constant love notes became irritating, the endless gifts of flowers a bore.
“She was an unhappy wife, constantly dealing with the fact that she did not love him any more. The more he tried to woo her with gifts, the more she pulled away.”
This view of the Cruise, Kidman relationship contrasts the more widely held belief that Tom wanted out of the relationship and Nicole didn’t see it coming.

When it was first reported that Nicole Kidman was dropping out of director Stephen Daldry’s post-World War II Germany drama “The Reader,” which she was supposed to start shooting this month, it really fueled the already circulating rumors she must be pregnant. Then yesterday’s admission (finally) came that Nicole Kidman is pregnant and everyone was happy except perhaps the movie producers for “The Reader” who I am sure were happy for Nicole but what of their high profile movie? Well there seems to be a happy ending for all. Kate Winslet is happily stepping in to take over the role vacated by Nicole Kidman in The Reader.Sources confirm that, in fact, Winslet was originally offered the role but couldn’t commit due to schedule conflicts. But the dates changed, Nicole got pregnant and now it has come back to Kate.
The arrangement is one of those rare last-minute casting changes that seems to benefit all parties involved. Nicole now has time to rest and focus on her exciting pregnancy, while Kate gets a substantial role in a sweeping World War II epic, that she and the filmmakers wanted to do together in the first place.

Update: It has just been confirmed that Nicole Kidman is pregnant. Her rep tells “Extra,” “Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban confirmed today that they are expecting a baby. The couple are thrilled.”
While Nicole Kidman’s rep has spent the last week or so denying reports that the Oscar-winning actress is pregnant, it’s becoming more evident that it may be a smoke screen. The Oscar-winning Aussie who’s suffered miscarriages in the past, rightfully wants to be cautious. So much so that for concern about the welfare of her unborn child (allegedly) she’s taking a break from her film career. Starting by dropping out of director Stephen Daldry’s post-World War II Germany drama “The Reader,” which she was supposed to start shooting this month. Leaving Weinstein Company, which is producing, with the challenge of quickly finding a leading lady to join Ralph Fiennes and Bruno Ganz and a largely German cast, according to sources.Other interesting indications include, On Friday, a reporter for Daily Telegraph in Sydney, Australia, asked Kidman point blank whether she was in the family way. She “refused to answer,” the paper said.
Another source told pagesix, a Vanity Fair editor was recently overheard talking about pushing up Kidman’s photo shoot for the magazine’s annual Hollywood issue. “It’s because the costumes she’s set to wear won’t fit her much longer,” the spy said.
I guess time will tell but I am pretty convinced these Nicole Kidman pregnancy rumors are real.

Nicole Kidman’s Australian press representative says ’she is not pregnant’.This episode of Nicole expecting a baby was first started by the usually reliable U.K.’s Daily Mail, which said that Kidman, 40, had told friends and family members over Christmas that she and her husband of 18 months, Keith Urban, were expecting their first child together.
But the Melbourne Herald Sun quotes Kidman’s Australian publicist as denying the Mail’s story.
“It is incorrect,” the spokeswoman tells the paper. “She must have had about 30 babies by now.” She said sarcastically.
Personally I still give it a 30% chance the Daily Mail story is true and Nicole is pregnant.

Nicole Kidman and husband of 18 months Keith Urban, are expecting their first baby, according to the UK newspaper, The Daily Mail. The expected arrival date has not yet been revealed.Reportedly the Oscar-winning actress and the country and western singer she calls the “love of my life”, broke the news to their families over the Christmas holiday.
This will be Nicoles first natural birth child, she adopted Isabella, 14, and twelve-year-old Conor during her first marriage to Tom Cruise.
Shortly after they split, she revealed that she had suffered an ectopic pregnanacy and a miscarriage during the marriage.
Nicole spent her Christmas holiday in Syndey, after finshing work on Baz Lurhmann’s epic romantic adventure film “Australia” on December 21.
She is due to film The Reader with Ralph Fiennes and British director Stephen Daldry in Berlin next month, but has no more cinema work planned after that.
The 40-year-old Australian star had already spoken of “winding down” her film-making activities as much as possible next year.Earlier this month the actress also dismissed the idea of returning to the stage next year.
“It wouldn’t fit in with the logistics and dynamics of my family”, she said - a remark given extra meaning by the news of her pregnancy.
