Getting in full swing when it comes to promotional duties, Jessica Alba was spotted out for a photo shoot in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday afternoon (August 26).

Proudly flaunting her beautiful backside, the always-sexy actress was all smiles as she toted a few Billy Jealousy bags while chatting with a pal following the day’s work duties.

Having premiered her new movie “Machete” the previous night, Miss Alba was asked by MTV News who she would choose as her top lady ally.

Making the safe choice of one of her castmates, Jess answered, “Michelle [Rodriguez]! [Michelle's character in the movie] and Robert Rodriguez,. Because he’s a genius and he’s amazing.”

Also commenting on her other co-star, Lindsay Lohan, the 29-year-old said, “She’s so good in this movie. I can’t wait for people to see [her in] it.”

“Machete” makes its way into theaters next Friday, August 3rd.

Lindsay Lohan’s stint in jail won’t affect her ability to reinvigorate her career, Machete co-stars Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and the film’s director Robert Rodriguez said at the premiere last night. In fact, it may even make her stronger than ever.

“Lindsay is so good in the movie, and I can’t wait for her to see it,” Jessica Alba told People. “It’s awesome. She’s great. I’m very proud.”

Director Robert Rodriguez was also very proud of Lilo’s turn as a nun with a gun in his latest flick. “She’s awesome in the movie. She’s going to enjoy it a lot,” he said. “She can do anything she wants. This movie is so great for her. I think she’s got a lot of talent, obviously. So, it’s all up to her.”

Michelle Rodriguez, who also was sent to jail following a DUI, knows what Lindsay is going through and thinks Lilo will not only pull through, but flourish.

“This crazy little party girl who loves to enjoy life actually has a purpose,” Rodriguez said. “So, that’s really the core of why I’ve survived so many years and I can go and I can fall down and I can get back up. Why? Because I know why I’m here.
That’s the question that a lot of people need to answer when they do fall is, ‘Why am I here?’ If you can answer that question, you’ll be able to dust yourself off and shine like a phoenix out of ashes.”

Let’s hope Lindsay, who stayed home from the premiere last night to make a late night joyride to a friend’s house, does just that!

Co-director Robert Rodriguez is calling this his “illegal” trailer for Machete, which stars Danny Trejo (in the title role), Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba and, of course, Lindsay Lohan. Not a lotta Linds in the trailer – she did Tweet about it though – except for a couple shots of her in a nun’s outfit licking a gun… sound familiar???

Linds also Tweeted the following earlier this afternoon: “Beautiful, bright, sunshine day!” Guess that seven hour deposition yesterday didn’t dampen her spirits?

Doesn’t look like it! This movie might not be the career boost LiLo needs, but it is probably a gleeful thrill ride.
