Family Guy genius Seth MacFarlane got chatty with photogs outside of Crown Bar last night, and in addition to telling tales of his childhood and discussing Cleveland's new show, Seth also did a little Quagmire routine. Check out the video below to see what else he had to say!

Love him!
He’s geeky-chic, and he’s bringing college humor back.
You probably already know that Seth Rogen, star of 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up, is a high-school dropout, and you most certainly know he as a taste for the sticky-icky. But what else do you know about this 26-year-old Canadian? Probably not much.
Digital Spy does some digging and fill us in.
1. Seth’s mom Sandy, a social worker, and dad Mark, who is employed by non-profit organizations, met on a kibbutz in Israel. Seth says of his folks, “They’re radical Jewish socialists. Where I come from, communism is not a terrible word.”
2. Seth performed his first stand-up gig at a Vancouver lesbian bar at the age of 13. For the next four years, he was a regular on the local comedy club circuit, cracking jokes about such child-friendly subjects as bar mitzvahs and his grandparents. He told hecklers, “I’m 13. In 30 years, I’ll be 43. You’ll be dead.”
3. Seth met longtime writing partner Evan Goldberg at high school, where Evan knew him as “the loud dude” because of his booming voice. The pair started writing Superbad when they were just 13 years old.
4. Seth landed a part in Judd Apatow’s short-lived but acclaimed TV show Freaks And Geeks at the age of 16, after which he left school and moved to LA. Apatow says of the casting, “I thought, ‘Well, there’s a type of guy you never see on TV’. Back then his voice was really froggy and deep, with a thick Canadian accent, and he was so young and so angry, we thought, ‘He’s gotta be on the show’.”
5. Seth was part of the Emmy-winning writing team for the second season of Da Ali G Show in the US. “I think he’s the funniest man alive,” he gushes of Sacha Baron Cohen. “I can’t reiterate that enough. I really think he’s invented a new kind of comedy that no-one else will ever be able to do.”
6. Seth had minor roles in Dawson’s Creek, which he claims never to have watched, and cult movie Donnie Darko, which he claims not to understand.
7. Seth reckons his movies appeal primarily to “20-year-old dudes”. “It seems I only relate to nerds in high school who can’t get laid,” he says. “I don’t even have a stalker. I’m just not the guy that people stalk.”
8. Seth was so intimidated when he found himself standing near Sir Paul McCartney at a fundraiser that he couldn’t stop thinking about kicking him in the crotch. He says, “There was a point where he was three feet away from me and all I kept thinking was, ‘If I run up and kick him in the crotch right now, I’ll be the most famous man alive’.” Fortunately he managed to resist the temptation.
9. Seth lives in an LA mansion with comedy writer Lauren Miller, his girlfriend of three years.
10. What would Seth do if he wasn’t in the movie biz? “Oh, man, I don’t think I could do anything else,” he says. “I’d probably be a crackhead, maybe a drug dealer or seller of bootleg movies - something like that. Something easy and illegal.”

Seth Rogan at Comic Con in San Diego (7/26)
Seth Rogan almost got kicked out of the rooftop Maxim party at Comic Con last week when he got caught smoking marijuana cigarettes . . . reefers. From Page Six:
Jovial actor Seth Rogan found out the hard way that just because it’s your premiere, doesn’t mean you can do anything you want. Rogan was at the Maxim party for his new flick, “Pineapple Express,” on the rooftop of the Solamar Hotel in San Diego where, spies said, he was smoking a funny-smelling hand-rolled cigarette. One onlooker said, “He was told to put it out immediately or leave.” (Source)
The movie’s about stoners, so of course Seth Rogan was getting high — he had to promote the film! I just wish that porn stars promoted their movies in the same way. Besides, if you really want to chastise Seth for getting involved in something that kills brain cells, start with You, Me and Dupree.

Seth Rogan was turned down by HBO a few years ago for a show similiar to their hit Sunday night comedy, Entourage. Rogan and Knocked-Up co-star Jason Segal pitched the network a show about a pack of guys that smoked weed and played video games all day, but really wanted to act and make movies. Since Mark Wahlberg’s show has become such a huge success, Seth is still pissed off at the rejection and doesn’t understand why the powers that be at HBO picked Marky-Marks show over his. Maybe it’s because Seth didn’t come with his own Funky Bunch.
“I just remember feeling really bitter. We thought the stuff we were writing was funny… and it just seemed crazy that no one else liked it. You start to question your own sanity. Like, ‘Our HBO pilot isn’t funny, but Entourage is?’”
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Seth Rogen has quickly risen to popularity with his leading roles in movies such as Knocked Up and Superbad. However, where did he come from? And, more so than that, how does the son of two “radical Jewish socialists” as Rogen puts it, get to become one of these very famous actors?
It all started when he was thirteen years old. Known for driving his parents and teachers absolutely crazy with his attempts at humor, he signed up for a comedy class in his home town. Immediately, Rogen took to it and quickly began to work on his own material. After a very short amount of time, he began to appear in a lot of well known Vancouver comedy clubs such as Lafflines, Punchlines, and others. Finally, after three years of stand up, he decided that he was going to venture to America to make a career in stand-up. Rogen had won second place in the Vancouver Amateur Comedy Contest at sixteen and that gave him the confidence to venture below the border.
For most of us, though, he is well known for his acting. His first on-screen experience came at the age of eleven when he was in a few commercials. However, for most actors, it is the big screen that they aspire for and Rogen had those hopes as well. After auditioning only once, he landed a role on the hit TV series, “Freaks and Geeks.” It was produced by Judd Apatow who he would later befriend and work alongside in many future projects.
“Freaks and Geeks” was cancelled in the middle of the first season and Apatow started a second television series, “Undeclared.” He cast Rogen in a similar role as he had played in “Freaks and Geeks” and this went on for an entire season, but was cancelled before the second season. Fortunately for Rogen, it was in this television series that he received his first major writing gig. Before he was hired to act, he was one of the writers for the show where he wrote an entire episode by himself and co-authored four others.
His first big screen appearance was in 2001 when he had a minor role in Donnie Darko, a Jake Gyllenhaal movie. In 2005, he appeared in the hit movie, 40 Year Old Virgin which was Apatow’s directorial-debut. This movie was an incredible success and it helped to land him in the lead role in the ‘accidental pregnancy’ movie, Knocked Up. Here he played a lazy web-entrepreneur who, after a late night at the club, goes home with a woman. The result? You guessed it…A baby. Starting in September, Rogen is also set to appear in Judd Apatow’s next directorial effort (working title “Funny People”) with Adam Sandler, Eric Bana, Jason Schwartzman, Leslie Mann and Jonah Hill.
However, what happens when a typical comedic character gets his chance at something a little more daring? You get the Green Hornet. Known for being on the heavy side, Rogen will have to bulk up if he is going to fit into the trench coat of this superhero. More importantly, Rogen and his long-time writing partner, Even Goldberg, are tasked with writing the movie for the Green Hornet. So, with Rogen playing the lead character and the two writing the screen-play, some argue that the character of Britt Reid might not be what he should be. Or, more so, what he can do, with all the bulking up necessary.
Rogen’s response? “You should believe that I can do some physical activity. You have to believe I can do something.” Can he though? Can the man who has, for most of his life, done stand-up comedy jump into a more serious role? Can he really be action potential? He argues that, yes, he can. He has all the intentions to bulk up for the role. There are two very talented writers working on the screen-play. But, when it comes to a director, Rogen is not so committed. He wants to find someone who will bring something fresh to the table.
All in all, Rogen went from doing some small time stand-up comedy in Vancouver to landing lead roles in two television series and then in some of the 21st century’s greatest comedies. From commercials, to stand-up, to television, to Knocked Up, Seth Rogen now has his eyes set on playing the green fedora wearing Green Hornet. Let’s see if he can do it.
Ah, here's something magazines can do that website can't: persuade actors to dress up as characters from Alfred Hitchcock's movies, and lovingly re-enact the director's most famous scenes. From Vanity Fair's lavish Hollywood issue, here's Seth Rogen, schlubby star of Knocked Up, smartened up to play Cary Grant in Hitchcock'sNorth By North West. Other scans are on Live Journal.
