It was one of the summer favorites over here in the States, and now Hancock is hitting Japan along with stars Charlize Theron and Will Smith.
Earlier today (August 21) the “I Am Legend” stud and his “Italian Job” gal pal were spotted at the big Japanese premiere, much to the delight of hundreds of Japanese fans.
Will Smith and his wife Jada enjoyed some quality time on the green while vacationing in Hawaii. Jada looks absolutely determined to beat her hubby - wonder what her score was?

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly sure were in a good mood on their way out of the Step Brothers premiere in New York last night - they hammed it up for the cameras the whole way back to their cars. We just hope the movie's half as funny!

Long admired couple, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, apparently have one of those “Hollywood” marriages. Will revealed in an interview with Reveal magazine(don’t ask me why) that the secret to the success of their 11 year marriage is that they have an ‘open relationship’. Will had the following to say:
“Our perspective is, you don’t avoid what’s natural and you’re going to be attracted to people.” he says.
“And if it came down to it, then one would say to the other: ‘Look, I need to have sex with somebody. Now, I’m not going to if you don’t approve of it’.”
The Hancock star explains that the couple’s open policy has been in place from day one of their 10-year marriage.
“In our marriage vows, we didn’t say ‘forsaking all others’. We said ‘you will never hear I did something afterwards’. Because if that happens the relationship is destroyed.”
Though they have yet to take lovers outside of their marriage, the couple will tell each other if the occasion ever arises.
“I don’t know how I’d feel. But I know I would react better than if I found out about it afterwards,” said Smith, in regards to the possibility of his wife asking to take a lover.
Other things that Will says are important in his marriage are keeping in shape for his “little firecracker” Jada, the “look in her eyes”, and communication.
“And lots of sex makes for a good marriage too!”
Though there has long been rumors about Will and Jada’s marriage, this is the first time either has spoken on this subject. But it’s kind of stunning anyway that he volunteered as much information as he did.
At last night’s Hollywood premiere of “Hancock”, Will Smith made a strong statement about his priorities by bringing his wife and kids along to the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
The “I Am Legend” hunk posed proudly with his family, sporting a black and white checked three-piece suit with a white button-up shirt and a black tie. Wife Jada Pinkett-Smith looked gorgeous in a sleeveless floor-length green evening gown. And their three kids Trey, Jaden, and Willow looked thrilled to be there.
Her new movie “Hancock” hits theaters tomorrow (Wednesday July 2nd) and last night Charlize Theron was on promotional duty at the big Hollywood premiere.
The “Italian Job” babe was joined by her co-stars Will Smith and Jason Bateman outside of Grauman’s Chinese Theater where they posed for pics and schmoozed with fans and industry peeps.

Wow, I thought we were gonna make it through the entire month of June without a “Will Smith is a Scientologist” story. From Life & Style magazine (via Pop Crunch):
Life & Style spies claim Will was chatting up the unorthodox religion to anyone who would listen on the set of his new film, Hancock, opening July 4th.
“He gave out Scientology-like pamphlets at the end of the shoot,” says biographer Andrew Morton, who published an unauthorized biography on Kooky Cruise last Winter.
“It’s also been said that he and Jada are homeschooling their children in Scientology methods,” Morton insists.
Will and Jada are also rumored to be financing the New Village Academy, a Scientology-associated school to open in Calabasas, California this Fall.
Morton explains: “So between that, the pamphlets, the school in Calabasas, and his close friendship with Tom, it seems all the evidence leads one to conclude that he is a part of this organization.”
Will Smith’s association with Scientology should really help box office sales. Lord/Xenu knows it’s helped Tom Cruise’s last few films. Perhaps it’s because this country still suffers from deep-seated intolerance that these days being associated with Scientology is worse for a actor’s career than being associated with drugs (Robert Downey Jr.), sexual deviancy (R. Kelly) or murder (Rebecca Gayheart). Or maybe it’s just because most* of us are sick of having celebrities cram their DICTUMS down our throats.

WILL Smith’s family all seem to be getting their acting chops at an early age. Will and son, Jaden, 9, starred in “The Pursuit of Happyness” together, and now his daughter, Willow, 7, is taking center stage opposite Abigail Breslin in the family-feature summer flick “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl.” And there is a friendly little rivalry developing between father and daughter. Will’s “Hancock” opens wide on July 2, the same day as Willow’s “Kit Kittredge.” But Will is cutting junkets for “Hancock” short tomorrow to join Willow at her premiere at the Ziegfeld.
Continuing along with their promotional obligations, Charlize Theron and Will Smith ended up at the Berlin premiere of their new movie “Hancock” on Tuesday (June 17).
Prior to the screening, which comes just a day after the Paris premiere, Charlize and Will joked and posed with one another on the red carpet before entering the CineStar movie theater at Sony Center Potsdamer Platz.

Joined by co-star Will Smith, the duo laughed amongst one another as they posed for a lineup of photographers before making their way into the theater for the screening.

Will Smith has reportedly donated $1 million to open a private school ran by Scientology. FOX News reports:
The New Village Academy plans to use some teaching methods developed within the Church of Scientology and has hired a team of Scientologists to put them into action. Pinkett-Smith, who currently home-schools the couple’s two children, has long been talking about opening up a school where Jaden, 9, and Willow, 7, can continue to receive an education in line with their beliefs, friends told FOXNews.com. So she and her actor husband are bankrolling the pre-kindergarten through sixth grade school in Calabasas, Calif., and they have selected a group of Scientologists, including the Director of Learning, Director of Qualifications and Artistic Director, to create that atmosphere. But you won’t find references to the Church of Scientology on NVA’s Web site. Ron Reynolds, executive director of the California Association of Private School Organizations, a consortium of the state’s private and religious schools, said it’s not the actual teaching of Scientology methods that raises a red flag for him. His concern is the school’s non-disclosure about its apparent religious affiliation. “School should be forthright about its purposes. And if it’s a religious school, I don’t see why it wouldn’t wish to announce its religious affiliation loud and clear,” Reynolds said.
This revelation is not surprising considering Will Smith has defended the cult, comparing it to Christianity.
Will Smith is Scientologist
After his movie Hancock wrapped shooting last year, Will Smith gave each member of the crew a coupon good for a “free personality test” at any local Scientology center. Will’s actions — and his close friendship with noted Church of Scientology foot soldier Tom Cruise — led many to believe that Will converted to the religion. Now comes a report from the National Enquirer that Will dropped a shitload money into opening up a new school in Calabasas, CA. Not surprisingly, TMZ did some digging and found that the school has some major Church of Scientology connections:
. . . the New Village Academy’s website indicates that one of their models of learning is something called “Study Technology” — a method created by none other than L. Ron Hubbard. The school also emphasizes the teaching of ethics and survival — again, big topics in Scientology. (Source)

Will Smith is behind the lease for the New Village Academy in Calabasas, California, which will be an independent pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade school opening this fall.
The school's motto is "Spiral Up!" and it plans to renovate the new school site with new play equipment and new furniture, as well as paint and carpeting for the little kiddies.
No word yet on whether or not Smith's kids will be enrolled at the school, as calls from Smith's rep were not immediately returned.

According to the National Enquirer, Will Smith is starting his own school because there's nothing out there good enough for his kids.
Will and his husband, Jada, have until now been home schooling their tots, Willow and Jaden.
Smith reportedly spent about $1 million to lease a campus near his California home.
The campus has been renamed the New Village Academy of Calabasas.
The academy will be run privately for kindergarten kids up through sixth grade.
The school's website says it's accepting applications now!

Will Smith has won his slander case against a British media group that falsely claimed the actor said Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler was a good person.
Celebrity news and photo service World Entertainment News Ltd., aka WENN, published an article in December about a Smith interview that first appeared in a Scottish newspaper but was then picked up by tabloids and everyone else. We waited for Smith to comment before we wrote about this story here.
Smith’s lawyer, Rachel Atkins, stating the case said:
“The defendant published an article about the claimant entitled Smith: Hitler was a Good Person. The article alleged that the claimant had declared in an interview that Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler was a good person.”
“It wholly misrepresents the claimant’s actual words, given in an interview to the Daily Record, a Scottish newspaper and Web site,” Atkins said.
After Smith released a public statement expressing his outrage at the erroneously quoted statements that had been written about him, WENN apologized for the piece. But Smith’s lawyers feeling the damage had already been done to Smith’s reputation, said that was not enough and took them to court. WENN now has agreed to pay unspecified damages and now has made a formal apology at London’s high court.

"I Am Legend" megastar Will Smith says that one of his dreams as a kid was to create a fully computerized classroom for students. Did you know he was accepted to MIT? That's what this report said. Damn, Fresh Prince. What aren't you good at? Well, dancing and rapping. About his future perfect classroom idea, Will says "You could come in and take roll call with fingerprints and then there'd be a keyboard built into the desk and as the teachers talked, their words would come up on a computerized board." Will says he might still try to put that plan into action, and that he's always "loved the idea of connecting technology and education". Frankly, I think it sounds a little Orwellian with the fingerprint deal and Will was obviously some kind of mouth-breather back then who never wanted to cut class. But he's now a millionaire and I'm sitting in a bowl chair littered with cereal crumbs in an attic apartment. I probably shouldn't mock his hustle.

Rihanna is working alongside with H&M to launch a fashion line aimed at raising AIDS awareness among young adults.
The collection, called Fashion Against AIDS will include T-shirts, hoodies and tanks. The campaign targets 15 to 24-year olds and will launch in February.
Prices are expected to range from $12 to $34, and 25 percent of the sales will go to HIV/AIDS-prevention projects around the world.
Rihanna released a statement regarding the project, “Supporting YouthAIDS through the Fashion Against AIDS campaign was a great way to encourage my fans to join me in the fight against HIV/AIDS. I love that H&M is providing a fashionable and easy way for young people all over the world to get involved in this worthy cause.”
Other musicians involved include Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance, Timbaland and Ziggy Marley.
After making the following statement about Hitler, "Even Hitler didn't wake up going, 'Let me do the most evil thing I can do today.' I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was 'good,'" Will Smith has apologized. His apology, the second major one he's made recently, came amidst an outcry from the Anti-Defamation League and his own personal frustration that his sentiment was misinterpreted due to the lack of context. The ADL has since accepted his apology by stating, "We would have expected no less from a celebrity of his standing." Lord, I can only imagine how many apology letters I'd have to write if people actually knew who I was and listened to half of the crap I'm spewing. I actually once said that I hated babies. Why? Just because I don't trust anyone without a fully-formed head. Nothing's off-limits with me! I'm edgy, wild and out-of-control!

Will Smith often speaks his mine about many subjects, but I was very surprise by some quotes alleged to have come from him regarding Adolf Hitler reported by a in a Scottish newspaper. Now Will Smith has responded to this article and he is obviously angry at the reporter who he says misuesd his power of the press.
In the original story published in Britain’s Daily Record newspaper, the Smith, was quoted as saying:
“Even Hitler didn’t wake up going, ‘let me do the most evil thing I can do today’.
“I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was ‘good’.”
The quote was preceded by the writer’s observation: “Remarkably, Will believes everyone is basically good.”
Over the weekend, dozens of celebrity gossip websites jumped on these comments with, many saying that Smith believed that Hitler was a “good” person.
Here is Will Smith’s response to the alleged quotes he made:
“It is an awful and disgusting lie,” Smith said in a statement.
“It speaks to the dangerous power of an ignorant person with a pen. I am incensed and infuriated to have to respond to such ludicrous misinterpretation.”
“Adolf Hitler was a vile, heinous vicious killer responsible for one of the greatest acts of evil committed on this planet.”
I am glad to see Will Smith has come out quickly to try to set the record straight.
